Those words rang throughout the streets as it had been just announced that there were people with powers among them. Someone with these powers hijacked every radio, and tv within a 200-mile radius stating that these normal people can't keep us in the shadows, or use them for their powers.
The problem was it caused an uproar, normal humans rioted in the streets, attacking anyone they believed to have these said powers. The superhumans were forced to fight back to protect themselves and with that came the media making it seem like they were the ones attacking innocent civilians. And the streets became a battleground as the military was called in. That day was only 2 years ago, and things have seemed to quiet down. There is still no peace though, the superhumans were forced to go into hiding, trying to make normal lives for themselves, or the others who are in hiding.
Deep underground lies a secret paradise, it's like a catacomb of sorts, but it seems that all the superhumans have moved there, creating their own town beneath the city. A place where they can be themselves, and not have to worry about concealing their powers, but it is very hard to find.

Personality:
Zya is a perfect match with her dark powers, she enjoys spooky things, and is extremely brave and doesn't scare easily. She is very intolerant of everyone and she will not hesitate to show it, usually with rolling her eyes or just looking uninterested. She prefers to spend her time listening to music or reading. If she does happen to like you there is only a slight difference in the way she acts, she is actually responsive and seems interested in what you are saying and isn't rude.

She is rather humorless and doesn't enjoy small talk. Though she will enjoy it if its about the things she really does enjoy. She is closed off from people and doesn't like to be bothered, and is mostly like this so she doesn't get hurt again like when she lost her brother. It also is from the years of verbal abuse from her parents which made her stronger mentally and not sensitive, but this also made her insensitive to others. She doesn't hold her tongue and is really disrespectful or mean, but half the time its her just speaking the truth from her view, or her words are out of annoyance. She seems rather rebellious and she is looked at as aloof. She can sometimes be asocial but it's not always hostile.

Being self-reliant she doesn't ask for help, even if it is something that could kill her. She depends on no one. When someone does help her she will not thank them instead she will get mad at them.
Though she seems like she wouldn't know the first thing about being flirty, sometimes she does it if she knows someone likes her, mostly just because she likes the games, but after she gets bored it will be very easy to tell.

She can be hot-headed though most the time getting that angry is too much energy she would care to waste, she can get very angry rather quickly and it will escalate to a physical confrontation half the time and at that point, she is irrational and doesn't have her thoughts in order.

For the most part, Zya is hard to love, hard to get along with and starts things because she can. But maybe if you got to know her or pushed for the friendship she will be sweeter and more kind towards you.
Appearance:
Zylah stands at about 5' 4" with a slender body. Her hair is long-falling to about her lower back and usually is straight but occasionally she will curl her hair. It's dark brown/nearly black, and her eyes are a green/hazel. Skin is lightly sun-kissed, and surprisingly she has no scars from the encounter with the evil shadow she deals with. Though she may have a few new scratches or bruises show up.
History:
Zylah was born into a normal family, no one had powers, except for her [atleast she thought]. She was born with them and as a baby could not control anything within the darkness. Her parents knew she was different and because of that was extremely strict and verbally abusive to her. Growing up as a kid, she struggled with what lurked in the shadows, she had no control and often found herself with lack of sleep and being attacked in the night. It was like she had summoned something that didn't like her very much, she secretly still has these issues occasionally. Her parents didn't really believe that she was being attacked at night, even though she would come out every morning with bruises and scratches on her.

Then it got worse, see she grew up with an older brother, one who was kind and wasn't like her parents, he cared for her and spent most of his time with her when he was able, but the shadow seemed to not like it, because he wasn't able to do anything with him there. He went out one night, to go to the city with his friends and got into a fatal car accident, he died instantly. She has no idea if the shadow was the reason for it, but she was devastated. she became closed off, from herself and everyone else around her. She became numb and put up very large and tall walls to protect herself. She used to be very kind and nice, but now she doesn't want to be bothered with anyone or anything, that's mostly because of the riot that almost killed her and her brother. She couldn't care less about her mom and dad, but when the riot happened her older brother was hospitalized, and she released darkness upon the humans that no one had seen before, her eyes turned fully black, and darkness and this eerie feeling of evil poured out of her. After her brother was released from the hospital she couldn't live among the humans anymore and found the hidden city in the catacombs below where she has made a home for herself, kind of. People are scared of her, rumors are said, and she is quite famous with the humans and the superhumans. She doesn't fit in anywhere and she is picked on and bullied by the superhumans too.
Power/Ability:
Zya's power matches her entirely, she can create/manipulate darkness/shadows, with that she can engulf her body and become a shadow and travel through shadowed areas or the night, but only if the two places are connected with darkness. She is able to create familiars with the shadows but usually sticks with wolves, even though she hates dogs.
The darkness just looks like black plumes of smoke but has no smell or heat, and they don't cause issues with breathing and disappears with her command.

Nicky is everything possible related to light. He is kind, and caring, generous and fun. He is extremely positive and never picks fights though he will fight for his sister.

Appearance:
Nicky stands at 6' 0", he has a average muscular and tone build and has dark brown hair that sits messily on his head and his eyes are a deep emerald green. His skin is a light tan color and he is always eiher under dressed or over dressed there is no inbetween. He has a scar on his back from the riot that goes from his collar bone over his shoulder and down passed his shoulder blade.
History:
He grew up the same as Zylah though his parents seemed to have more of a liking towards him, maybe thats because they all thought he didn't have power.
He knew about the darkness that lingers withing Zylah and about the said shadow man, but he hasn't been able to see it. During the riot he was attacked and then hospitalized when he awoke from being unconscious he found out what Zylah did, she killed hundreds of humans. There was no way they could live among them now and so they retreated to the secret city beneath the actual city.

he wears slim fit suits, vests, sometimes adds a pocket watch to it. he always wears a tie. a black belt with a silver buckle. he wears a silver right with obsidian in the middle going all around the ring that fits neatly on his right hand middle finger. and a golden watch on his right hand. now he looks very wealthy and rich. that's because he is. his job is a very difficult one. mostly undercover work. which is something he was good at. he sticks to colors of black, dark purple, dark blues, reds, gold, and silver, ties and bowties. he always has a matching handkerchief in his pocket. he has Carrabin blue eyes and a natural muscular boy (not hecking huge and pop out like the biggest things in the world NO) he has a scar on his lip that is shaped like a small bolt that reaches over the top lip just a little. he has many other scars (from his step mother and also child stupidity) but these scars hide under his clothes. which he dresses well enough that you will not see them. unless he took his shirt off. which i doubt you will get him to do. he stands at 6,1 yes he's a tall boy. and he knows. and takes that to his advantage sometimes. BRITISH ACCENT.
other: he is a night blood. means his blood is black. because of this he requires more vitamin D than most average people. he doesn't need as much oxygen as the average human being. mainly because night bloods have a thicker blood type. Now Taurus is a little bit of a vampire. he doesn't have to feed off blood. he just thinks it tastes good. and can tell the difference in blood types. no he cant smell it off you. just taste it. he can eat normal foods. and be in the sun. black light is extremely toxic for his blood and skin. it basically fries it. being a night blood he can resist radiation for long periods of time. so under a black light he can resists its effect for a few hours. but can not live more than that under a black light, grapes and wine make them feel extremely sick. wine is no help. not only can they get all drunk and woozy off just two sips of it, but they also have horrible stomach problems and probably wont stop throwing up for a good long... hour or so. as a night blood you naturally have a strong immune system to some drugs and viruses. others they are weak to. his family was also very rich and wealthy, yes he was born into it. but he started from scratch and started making his own fortune.
history:
it happened when he was very young. 8 or 9 maybe. he was playing hide and go seek with his mother and family. Father was out to work. he had some call in and there was a problem. he has been meeting this new girl and has been inviting her over for dinner recently. Taurus found her a little scary. she always hand this look when she looked to him. like he was some enemies or something. so he never stuck around her. stayed by his mom where he know he was safe. this woman looked like she was always up to something. and he grew suspicion. but Father said she was just a new work partner. to help the companies that he owns and now are great friends. but Taurus didn't believe a smile so fake. Father was telling the truth. they where good friends....but she didn't think so.
when it was his turn to hide him and his brother Thunder hid in their mothers closet in the master room. they giggled quietly awaiting for there mothers seeking. since father was out it was just him his brother his little sister his mom and that scary woman who hangs around their house all the time. shortly after a few moments his mother came up into the master bedroom. there little sister by her side. both now looking around the room. their little sister looked under the bed first while there mother already knew where they where. she pretended not to know. the woman that there father was friends with came from the door quietly holding a knife. Taurus and Thunders eyes widen knowing they need to warn her. but just before they could she was stabbed in the neck. the blood spewing everywhere as she fell to the floor lifeless and a loud *thunk*. the two brothers held each other holding back the sob that wanted to slip free. their sister screamed but the girl quickly turned throwing the knife at her where it pierced through her heart. cutting off the scream for help. Father wasn't home to hear her scram. the brothers had no choice but to stay quite and hope she doesn't find them in the closet. a strange man dressed in all back came through the window she handed him the knife where he finished their sister off. the two identical brother frozen in fear now with their little sister and mother dead on the floor staring endlessly down their sole, couldn't do anything. it was to late. they where both gone. and there was nothing they could do. tears streaming down their face as they held each other they watched as the murder faked her panic running out the door and to the front where she called the cops.

a few minuets pass by. the two brothers stayed in the closet not knowing what to do but staying dead client. the cops walk up to investigate the murder. on of them find the two boys hiding in the closet. both of the brothers completely terrified backed away hiding behind the clothes on the hangers. the police finally found a way to drag them out and down stairs where there father was there worried sick and just as sad about the loss of a great person in their lives. all cuddled up hugging each other. when the police asked them what happened they told the truth. but the murdering female came up with a lie that convinced the cops that they where just traumatized.

a few months pass by. their father now wants to marry this woman. her name was Scarlet. Taurus and Thunder don't agree. so they wait. now 3 years has passed and they are a little older. now everyone thinks they are crazy. well... just Taurus. his brother decided to give up on trying to bring her to justice. she kept winning and they kept losing. and said it was fine if they married. besides. when father was at work it was just lonely. Taurus disagreed. he thought she could beat her ways and bring her to justice. but he was wrong... a few weeks go buy and now everyone knows he's crazy. holding on to a grudge so long. they sent him to a therapy which he never listened to. and it never worked. his father knowing exactly what to do. go him a service dog. but it wasn't just a dog. it was a red wolf hybrid with a husky German shepherd dog. he was big for size, a cuddle buddy, extremely friendly, and obedient, easy to train. perfect for what he needed. a friend. knowing that the further he goes he would end up in a mental hospital he to gave up... she won... we don't know how she did it but she did. and they married. but that was a mistake. giving up just let hell break through.

every moment their father was not home Scarlet would toucher them. any time they where not obedient proper, or never used their manners she would do something terrible. some so bad they are unspeakable. it was a hell they let walk right through the door. Thunder learned quickly and stayed out of trouble being the good boy he is. a good and well mannered gentle man. Taurus on the other hand... always picked the hard way. he blamed himself for letting his mother die. and blamed her for leaving like that. and he grew many walls around him. completely forgetting the man he once was. he just couldn't bare the pain any longer... he was finally broken. and with that. now doing what ever Scarlet wanted. so they wouldn't get hurt so badly, so they wouldn't be reminded of the pain they had to go through over their loved mother. because it was just to much to bear.

his pain would try to surface all the time. but he just stored it away. and only used it through anger when he was fighting, training, working, or at the gym. and that makes him who he is today.

Tarus has a job undercover work stuff you will slowly find out. here are my plot ideas
1: they ask Tarus and Zylah to work/Train together to get something. but are not told what it is they are looking for. or who. either still working on

2: Tarus is sent to hunt down Zylah and her family. for the reason? ill find out soon

3: get stuck in an elevator.

4: on a case. Zylah gets taken in for interrogating even though she had nothing to do with the case or the opposite, switched around

5: both kidnapped and brought to the same place force into labor by the Humans into a prison made for magical creatures such as Tarus and Zylah

6: bar. Tarus drinks whisky every now and then. not a lot though. he cant get drunk on whisky but wine yes... easily

7: or the parents book a meeting together bc there jobs cross and Zylah and Tarus are forced to get along with each other. then you can see how his step mother treats him and his brother.

8: neighbors, a family is moving in your or mine i don't care which one, and the one already living in that neighborhood wants to say hallow. parents immediately became firnds and the next thing they know they are spending every day at each others houses

9: if we are doing it when they are younger I'm sure they went to school so. HOME TEACHING TOGETHER

10: plain and Zylah and Tarus sit next to each other. to get on the plain they run into each other, suitcases alike, they complement each other on it and end up sitting together. on the way out of the air station they accidentally swap bags. you find something interesting and oddly strange in the case.

Okay so I'm thinking I want him to notice, so it would have to be something important, like the stones or the dagger, though the dagger would be hard to get because of the being in the jacket pocket, unless i have her like really run into him or something, or the magic stones but those she would have to be very powerful to hold and im not sure she is THAT powerful ya know?

What if it starts off at 2 where he is hunting down her family and then goes to them having to work together to free her of whatever reason she is being hunted?

oki dokie and if she has the power to manipulate darkness she can probably hold the purple one. i call them space stones. kinda like infinity stones but... more of them less powerful unless forged together to make the ultimate weapon. his main job giving by Mother earth was to collect all of them and bring them to her. LONG story. but we can get to that later

haha. you have no idea how much Tarus loves to kill. that sounded weird... ok he likes to hunt.. hunting people. killing them. jsut balances the food chain is how he thinks of it. humans hoard all the food the rest of life hardly gets a pice so.. less people more food for the animals.
