Denver Heard a rustle and smelled raw meat. He ran towards Koda and lunged in front of her. He told her, “Go get wolves back at camp. Get Alpha Leo and Dehila since Alpha Fire is out of commission with her pups. Alpha Leo may be Fire’s Mate and truly a Alpha, but it’s better than nothing and the healer will help. Trust me Koda, I’ll protect you. I’ll be fine if I can hold them off long enough.

Leo leapt up from his spot next to his mate on the rock pile near the den. He ran over, but not before nudging his mate, who was taking care of the four pups. He ran over to Koda and said with worry, “Koda what’s going on? Where’s Beta Denver?”

Denver snarled at the humans as Koda ran off. He leapt at one of them and swerved clear of a net. He latched onto one of the humans arms and was thrown down to the ground immediately. He growled and stood back up. He heard a click and got ready to run. BANG! He ducked as a metallic smelling thing wizzed past his ear tips. He ran and hid behind a bush as the humans began to move forward. He hoped Koda was ok and they were on there way.
