XXX "Hey! What do you guys want to get? I'm really craving sushi right now.. mmm." She replied, licking her lips for exaggeration. She shuffled her feet, looking around at the large crowd. I can't tell them about getting locked out of my car, they will take me to the government! Slowly, she reached for her choker around her neck. From what she believes, it's her source of power.. or well, powers. She grew up in a home where her parents had the power of manipulation of fire, but she was different. Much, much different. Rori first found out about her telekinetic abilities when she saved a friend from a boulder landing directly onto her, then not much time later she found out about her invisibility powers when that same friend tried bringing her to the government.

From then on, Rori learned she had to be more careful about telling anybody, not even Lily, Noemi, or even Jordan.

Noemi bounced on her toes, energy flowing through her. “Sushi sounds great, let’s get going! Do they have a sushi place here or do we need to carpool?” She asked. Jordan shook his head. “There’s no sushi restaurant here, we can take Derick’s car and come back later for yours?” He turned to Rori. “How does that sound?” He watched his sister carefully, ready to use his powers on everyone around them so that they wouldn’t see it if she did disappear in any way again.

XXX"Yeah sure! Where's the nearest one? I'll just leave my car in the parking lot, I have nothing valuable for people to steal anyways if they even think about robbing me." She replied, grinning. Gosh, I think I am crushing on Jordan.. maybe he likes me too? She tried reading Jordans expression, but she couldn't decipher his poker face. While looking at Jordans facial expression, she noticed that he had a black choker, almost like hers. "Hey.. nice choker. It looks like mine! Where'd you get it?" She asked him.

Jordan thought. “A few miles away, shouldn’t take too long for us to get there.” He looked at his sister once more before turning to Rori, looking down at his choker and smiling softly. “I showed up to the foster agency with it when I was a little baby, I haven’t ever taken it off. It was on me really loosely but was still hanging around my neck. I don’t know where my parents bought it. What about yours? Where did you get it?” He fingered the choker lightly, looking back up at her. He wished he were brave enough to tell her how he felt. Maybe the right moment would come along soon. “I call shotgun!” Noemi declared, breaking his train of thought. “I’ll drive, unless you want to?” He asked Rori.

XXX"Well.. long story short, I saw it at a store and felt instantly connected to it.. personally. Y'know?" She replied, grabbing hold of the choker and snapping it lightly against her neck. She put her hands into her jean pocket and felt around for her phone. When she grabbed hold of it, she swiftly turned off the ringer, knowing that her parents expected her to be tutoring, then sleeping over at Lily's like usual.
As she climbed into their car, she took in a big whiff of air around her to make sure she did not smell. After only smelling her cinnamon perfume, she exhaled a sigh of relief, and put on her seat belt. "Lets go!" She exclaimed gleefully.

“Yeah, I mean, this choker and Noemi’s bracelet hold a lot of emotional value to us, we have nothing else to remind us that our parents are out there and we’ll find them one day.” He agreed, heading out to the car with them.
Once inside, he started it up, heading to the sushi restaurant he had in mind. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Noemi toying around with her bracelet. “So, uh, what were you doing before we agreed to meet up?” He looked in the rear view mirror for a moment so he could see Rori before looking back at the road.
Once they got to the restaurant, Jordan got them a table. Thankfully, there was no wait. They were seated in a four-person booth. Jordan immediately sat next to his sister, afraid of what he might do if he sat next to Rori. If Noemi used her powers without knowing it, he might do the same. No. They were human. They were human. He had been concentrating on repeating his mantra so much so that when the waiter came to collect their drink orders, he gave a slight jolt. “Sorry. Um, water for me is fine.” Noemi looked at the options. “Which virgin drink from the bar do you recommend?” The waiter chuckled. “Mohito. Definitely.” He wrote it down, looking at Rori.

XXX"I.." She almost said, but suddenly stopped. She cannot tell them that they will find their parents when it is not a guarantee. After being asked about what she would've been doing before, she sighed. "Well, I'm not really supposed to tell anyone this, but I trust you guys. Remember how I just texted 'Lily ditched me again for her friends?' Well.. I tutor her every Friday after school, then we sleep over at her house," Rori replied, shuffling in her seat. "We used to be the bestest of friends.. and yes, I said 'bestest'." She added.
Soon enough, the car skidded to a stop in a parking lot. They all entered inside calmly, but Rori was very nervous. This restaurant was very fancy, and her with her mom jeans and a red and blue striped baggy shirt seemed to.. make her stand out. She let Jordan and Noemi sit down first, not bothered that Jordan sat with his sister, not her. The decoration all around her made her feel as if straight out of a movie.
The waiter came quite quick, and Rori saw Jordan make a sudden jolt from her peripheral. She pushed it aside as maybe a surprise that the waiter was so early to come. After Jordan and Noemi both ordered, Rori saw the waiter look at her. "I'll have.. a Kombucha please." She replied.
After the waiter walked away, Rori started scanning the menu. "Hmm, I think I'll probably get 43, Edamame," She said, before pausing to scan over the menu more. "and 51, California Rolls.. wait, no, that's only 4 pieces! Then I'll get 64, Hot California Rolls. Yes, that is 2x the amount." She finished, giggling at how hungry she sounds. "What are you two getting?" She asked softly, making sure to smile at them. I better ask to pay. They drove me here after all! She thought, poking her bag to make sure once more that her money was not absent.

Jordan smiled softly. “Well, we can be bestest of friends, right? The three amigos?” He said. Noemi nodded, doing the thing again. Thankfully, it was her leg, which Rori couldn’t see, and Noemi didn’t even notice. His nerve levels shot up, hoping she wouldn’t look down.
Noemi noticed her brother’s face becoming red, feeling his forehead. “You all right?” She asked. He nodded, instead asking her, “You feel okay?” She nodded, finding it strange that he thought she wouldn’t feel okay when he was burning up. “Maybe one of us should drive?” She suggested, but he shook his head. “We’re almost there. I’m fine.” He said, and a thought sailed through her head. We’re human. She frowned, wondering where that thought came from.
“I’ll get...” Jordan looked at the menu before deciding for him and his sister, since they had similar taste. “A crunchy roll, and a spicy tuna roll, please.” He said, handing the menus over as the waiter collected them and went off to the kitchen with their order. “The three amigos!” Noemi suddenly exclaimed, obviously happy. “I’ve never been in such a close little friend group, and now we have a nickname! Yay!”

XXX"Hm, the three amigos? I love that name!" Rori exclaimed, pulling out her phone and naming the group chat "The Three Amigos <3". She looked over at Jordan, and noticed his face was beet red. He seems.. mad? No. Surprised? No... nervous? Yes! He seems nervous! After they ordered, Rori sat in silence for a minute.
She glanced over and around, noticing a person with a black ski mask on, hands in his pockets. He walked up to the cash register, and pulled out a pistol from his right sweatpants pocket. Everyone around started yelling and freaking out, all except Rori. Rori calmly moved over closer to the man (while staying in her seat to stay hidden), held out her hand towards the pointed gun, and tilted her head abruptly to make the gun go flying to a wall, and make the mans mask go flying off too. The gun broke suddenly against the wall, and Rori watched as the man ran away, out the door. The employees grabbed a phone, and Rori could tell that they were calling the police, describing his every detail. She looked over at Jordan and Noemi. "I-I can explain.." She stammered, hoping they wouldn't report her to the government.

Jordan watched this all go down, realizing what was going on. “You’re like us.” He said. Noemi frowned at him. “Us? Jordan, what are you talking about?” He looked at her. “You would’ve found out sooner or later. Watch.” He made sure nobody was looking before taking a sharp knife and attempting to stab himself. The knife ricocheted off his skin, failing to leave a mark. Noemi shook her head, burying her face in her hands. “Jordan, that knife should’ve ripped through your skin and made you bleed. Why aren’t you bleeding?!” She started panicking, going into a series where random parts of her body continuously disappeared and reappeared. He quickly hid this from the public, trying to calm her down. “Look at yourself! Get a grip!” She looked down, screaming when half her body wasn’t there. “What are you two doing to me?!” She raised her voice.
