Everything seemed to be almost a blur leading up to this moment. Ben's body felt weak and bruised from being drained and thrown into a pit by the Sith Emperor, Palpatine. So much had happened since he laid eyes on the girl in the forests of the planet Takodana. That's when he found himself really struggling to listen to the dark side. It was all Rey's doing. She had killed Kylo Ren and brought Ben Solo back. And not long after he realized it, the former Sith found himself hurrying after the young Jedi to help her against her own grandfather, Emperor Palpatine. It wasn't the easiest task he's ever done, given the result he was left as was physically beaten. He had almost no life left in him when he climbed up from the pit and saw the girl laying there lifeless. Whether he would admit it or not, the man's heart dropped at the sight due to the connection he had felt with her. The connection was beyond just being a dyad in the force, at least it was to him. That's why.. when he came to the conclusion, he mimicked Rey after she had stabbed him earlier with his own lightsaber.. and gave life to her. The result left him exhausted beyond belief, but it was worth it. What happened after he brought the girl back shocked him, given Rey kissed him.

Once he pulled away slightly from the kiss, he grinned slightly, looking at her with pure happiness. He breathed out a soft chuckle, still finding all that had happened to be hard to believe. He felt his body weakening from exhaustion but focused on their surroundings when he heard the planet starting to crumble. He looked to Rey and frowned slightly, "We have to get off this planet very soon." He suggested, laying a hand on her shoulder to attempt to ground himself and ignore his exhaustion. He only moved his hand to motion for her to get up and shakily stood. He found himself having a head rush from the pain and exhaustion. He focused on being light on his injured ankle as well as careful with his hurt side.. his best guess was it happened when he hit the side of the pit. He looked to her with a slight nod, showing that he was ready to leave when she was.

xxxin an instant, rey went from an intense battle to laying on the stone floor. she was completely cold and lifeless and the silence in the room was pretty unnerving. palpatine was defeated, but at what cost? while a great evil had just been destroyed, so had a great good. she had been the last of the jedi, trained by luke skywalker in the force. it was bitter sweet, it was a true hero's ending. but when everything seemed lost and over, ben had come out from the pit he had been thrown into and sacrificed a part of himself to save rey. if he hadn't come to rey during her battle with palpatine, the decision would have been impossible to explain. it was obvious now that something had changed in him, kylo ren was as dead as rey had been before he brought her back. she had been so confused when she woke up from her what she thought was her end. she found herself in the arms of ben and, for a moment, she was about to try and run away, thinking that she was in danger. when she looked in eyes, however, she realized that it really was ben now. kylo ren had been killed when she had died. he had healed her, just like she had done when she struck him with her lightsaber. she was so surprised that his name just slipped from her lips. "ben," she said, a huge grin on her face. then she did something that she couldn't really explain herself, she kissed him. it only lasted for a few moments, but in just those few seconds they became allies. they were finally on the same side.

xxxrey nodded in agreement. she knew they would be dead if they didn't get off of the planet, it had been destroyed by all of the fighting that had been happening. she let ben use her to push himself off of the ground before she did the same. "we need to find a ship or something," she said, very exhausted herself. she knew it would be hard for them to get away from doom, but they had done it before. she stumbled out of the throne room and being to frantically look for any way for them to escape.

Ben looked towards the girl as she got to her own feet and spoke. He gave her a curt nod, "I have mine, but.. I don't think it's wise to escape in any First Order ships." He started, holding his side as he limped as quick as he could from the throne room and after Rey. "What about your X-Wing? I know it's single seating, but it would be a lot safer to escape in and we can try to squeeze." He added, hissing lightly as the pain shot through his whole body, following the girl. "I just doubt there will be a larger ship just sitting around for us to get on.. that wouldn't be shot down by the Resistance, anyways." He stated.

The young Solo motioned down a few areas, given he had been to Exegol one time before this death visit of theirs, hoping at least one of them would help them escape the collapsing planet in time. He continued to limp, almost hopping on one foot, through the seeming maze that attempted to crush them now and then as it tore apart. His dark eyes widened slightly as he caught sight of the narrow ceiling that lead towards semi-light. "Rey.. There." He breathed, glancing to her in an almost eager manner. They may get out of this okay.

xxxrey was thinking through every situation but it was really hard for her to do that even. she was so tired, but the adrenaline was starting to kick in when her mind finally realized they were both going to die if they didn't figure out how to get away. "no, we definitely can't get out of here on a first order ship, we'll be blasted right away," she said, shaking her head. she was still looking for a way for the two of them to get out of the room. she nodded."a tight squeeze is better than being vaporized," she said to ben. "hopefully we'll find a bigger ship once we get out of here but, if we don't, at least we will have another option."

xxxshe was so focused on her mission of finding a way out that as she was rushing around, a huge piece of metal fell and almost crushed her. rey yelped and jumped back, frozen for a moment because she had almost died for the second time today. she turned around when ben called her over. she looked up and saw a small, narrow gap in the ceiling. she was sure she could fit through but didn't know if ben would be able to. she reached at her belt and grabbed her lightsaber. "stay back," she warned him before she drove the blade into the ceiling and used all of her remaining power to make the gap bigger for the both of them to get out.

Ben was a bit on edge as he watched Rey almost be crushed before him. He let out a quiet breath of relief, however, when she wasn't. His eyes flickered back towards the ceiling then back to her. He listened to her words before nodding and stepping out of the way, watching her as she used the lightsaber to widen the narrow bit in the ceiling. He knew that once they were up there, they should be in that space at the entrance/exit. He looked to Rey as she carved a larger hole in the ceiling and chewed at his lip in thought on the other lightsaber that Rey had given him. He shook from his thoughts when the ceiling Rey carved started to collapse.

He moved as quick as possible to pull her towards himself and out of harm's way. He looked up at the whole and then towards her. "Are you able to leap up there?" He questioned her, limping over the fallen rubble and just under the hole. He looked back to Rey as he waited for her.

xxxwhen the ceiling began to fall, rey tried to quickly jumped back in order to not be crushed. she wasn't able to get fully out of the way, however, and, even when ben grabbed her and pulled her towards him, a piece of metal fell, it slit a gash in her hand. she gasped and wrapped her hand over her other, now bleeding, hand. she didn't know how she was going to be able to get out but at least they could and try to get out. she had no idea what to do with her bleeding hand, it wasn't like ben could heal it, he was already exhausted from using most of his power to bring her back from death. she wouldn't ask him to do anything like that. she was still stood beside him and looked up at him when he asked her if she could leap up to the top. "i-i don't know," she said, shaking her head. she felt like giving up and just letting herself die down here. but how could she do that when ben had just risked everything to save her and the resistance had done everything to fight back against palpatine and the first order? "i'm going to try," she decided before back up away from ben. she took a deep breath and started to run, getting as much power as she could before jumping. she reached out with her hand, using everything in her being to be pull up by the force. it worked and she was able to pull herself up just enough to cling onto the edge of the ripped open ceiling.

Ben frowned as he glanced to her hand. He momentarily turned his attention to his already torn and ruined tunic, thinking of using a bit to wrap her hand... though they had to focus on at least getting to the X-Wing first. He stepped aside a bit, watching her as she ran and leaped through the hole. He smiled slightly, glad to see she could. He took a few hop-like step back before taking a deep breath before looking up the hole and ran, careful of his ankle as much as possible, and leaps. He let out a shakily breath of relief and exhaustion as he found himself on the level above, having to scramble up there by his upper body strength and ignoring the pain. He stood, wincing slightly due to the pain from his ankle, and looked to the Jedi. "Lets get to your ship, once there, I'll help with your hand. We just have to finish getting out of this place first." He muttered. He looked down the exit and motioned towards where their ships were waiting.

He reached for Rey's shoulder lightly and started limping as fast as he could towards the X-Wing, narrowing his eyes at the dim light that illuminated the outside. He slowed once to the ships, glancing to his own with a light frown before looking to Rey's X-Wing, moving his hand to open it. "I can climb in first and I'll try to make room for you however way possible." He stated, climbing into the X-Wing with a slight wince of pain before sitting down and offering a hand to her.
