"Huh, wow," Evan said with a small nod, "Those are interesting powers." He'd never heard of anyone with powers like that before, and could only assume they were slightly rare. In a way he could almost see him and Luci as opposites, his own powers being so concerned with life in contrast to Luci's death powers. He was glad, at least, that for someone with such powerful magic, Luci wasn't judging him for his own powers. He'd found before that a lot of people looked down on him for having powers that weren't the most useful and weren't exactly uncommon either.

Luci nodded as he looked at him. "Very interesting and rare as well." He responded as he looked at him. "It keeps me on the watch list for the government however as there is always the fear that I may use my abilities for bad purposes." He explained as he looked at him. "But I would never." Luci did not know why he shared that piece of information with the other man, perhaps he trusted him quite a bit and he did not know why. He found it very much intriguing that his powers seemed like the direct opposite of Evan's life-giving powers. He was glad that Evan was not looking up to him like he was some god. Some people in this world saw him as a bit of a "god-like" creature as he had rare abilities. Some people feared him as well and he was glad that Evan did not seem to fear him. "But your abilities are intriging as well and have quite a lot of potential." He spoke.

Evan was relieved a little to hear that Luci didn't want to use his powers for evil. There was always the threat that those with powers too strong would put them to bad use, and Evan was always wary of people due to that, aware he was vulnerable to them.
He ducked his head gratefully as Luci complimented his powers, feeling his face flush a little and try but failing to stop himself from grinning faintly. "Thank you," he murmured quietly, "There aren't many that feel that way. But I think maybe you're a little different to most people I've met."

Luci was glad that he was able to put Evan at ease by insisting that he had no intentions to use his abilities for evil. He knew that him having such a strong and destructive ability often put people off of wanting to talk to him and he always felt the need to make sure the other person was at ease. It was much like a chore really, his due diligence. But with Evan, it felt natural to let him know, like he wanted Evan to be at ease with him. He noticed the faint flush and grin come from the other man at the compliment and he let the smallest smile grace his own lips. "Those others who do not see your potential are nothing but fools." He explained to him.

"Thank you," he said quietly. It had been a long time since anyone was so effortlessly nice to him. Realising then that he'd mostly invaded this man's space and started discussing his issues, he winced. "I'm sorry for taking up your name with my problems," he said softly, "I'm sure you came here for peace and quiet, not...me."

Luci looked at the other man with a curious look upon his face. "Oh, there is no need to apologize." He explained as he looked at him. "You did not take up any of my time, my time is often always free during the day-time as I normally work during the night." He explained as he watched him. "I came here for a coffee and to work, but your company has been quite a refreshing experience and it was very much enjoyable."

Evan smiled faintly to himself. "Yes, I've found your company enjoyable too," he murmured, "It isn't often I find someone I get along with quite so easily. Though I'm sure you'd rather get along with your day, so I promise I won't bother you much longer."

Luci looked over at him and gave a smile. "Your company has been quite suitable and I would very much enjoy to meet up and converse with you again soon." He explained as he looked at him. "I also do not often find someone who I get along with so easily so I wish to keep this...friendship...if you would like to call it that." He added. He reached into his bag and pulled out a pen and paper. He wrote a phone number on it and passed it to him. "Here is my cell number if you would like to text me sometime."

Evan took the phone number with a slightly shaky hand, looking down at it with a smile. It had been so long since anyone had showed such kindness to him. "Thank you, I will," he said, before realising he sounded a little too eager and adding, "I mean, thanks, that's...cool." He smiled again, awkward now, and then slowly got up to his feet, gathering his sketchbook. "I'll uh...I'll talk to you later," he said, "Have a good day." Grinning to himself and bouncing a little in excitement, he wandered away towards the door of the coffee shop and letting himself outside.
