He wakens suddenly, but doesn't dare to move, after all he can feel the ache of his muscles from the fighting and the landing without movement. "Ice?" Is asked hesitantly, voice low in the dawn near gloom. Sunlight peppers his silver pelt, and he welcomes the embers of heat. What should he say? What can he say? Oh yeah, I died. Saw you crying, heard you begging me to stay and StarClan took pity and let me come back? How could he even begin to explain that? Especially when he doesn't understand himself.

Truthfully, he isn't sure what to say, he's just happy to BE here. Alive. In this moment. "Ice? Thank you... for pulling me out of the water."

Ice shifted slightly at the sound of his voice, ears to attention as he awaited Fallenrain's conversation. He settled his head on his paws, giving the other the time he needed.

"You'd have done it for me." Ice murmured. "I.. couldn't let you go without saying goodbye, right?" He tried to joke, but it didn't quite land, instead floating in the air uneasily. "I didn't want to let you die there, like that.."

He is quiet; blue eyes closing firmly as he remembers the roar of the water and the shriek of the maniac cat who'd been attached to his leg. Hearing his own voice echoing in his ears he frowns, I... I didn't get to say goodbye!, except he doesn't remember- quite - saying the words. "Of course." Is said softly after a pawful of breaths - still labored from the weight of the water and the crush of stone on his bones. "I'd come... for you...even if you told me not to.."

He half pins his ears at the memories of the fight with Butterfly in the water; of killing her and the gurgling roar of Rolyuk when he'd realized his loss. FallenRains coughs once and winces - trying to banish the thoughts with pain instead. "Ice, I uh.. " He carefully, oh so carefully, lifts his head again, wincing against the pain and headrush it incurs. "I have to go. And um... I want you to come with me."

Because this is his mate; and while he has no clue how he will go he doesn't want to incur the ancestors wrath by waiting. Even though his eyesight is dim, he hurts, and he is certain he has a few busted bones. And that his lungs still have water.

Ice was quiet for a few moments, making a conscious effort to think before speaking. There was so much he wanted to say - Going anywhere, like that? How? Go where? Haven't you done enough by now? You need rest.. - but all he murmured was a warm, "Of course. I'd follow you to the ends of this world."

Fell lowers his head to his mates side and breathes in his scent. He doesn't need to look to know that the other isn't pleased; he can feel it. Tired out he shifts the tiniest bit closer and exhales. "How is the Tribe?"

Do they know about us?

His blue eyes that are shut open at the overbearing smell of Wasp. And he frowns, but soon smooths it away. "I'm not going until I'm recovered a bit." And by a bit he means completely, StarClan be cursed. "I don't want to die... again."

"The tribe... Is..." He picks his words deliberately, not quite subtly. "Doing well, now. Snowbird has been keeping everyone in check, and I believe Kipsa has been helping her treat any wounded." He twisted his head around to groom some of his own fur flat, still fairly tangled and unruly from the night's horrors.

"No-one seems to be in high spirits." He admitted after a few moment's pause. "They're not convinced that the attackers will stay gone, but I'm sure time will ease their stress."

He had released a breath he didn't know he had been holding at the knowledge Fallenrain's didn't plan to go anywhere until he was better - he dreaded to imagine the further harm that could come from traveling in a condition like that.

"The Butterfly and the Mera won't return, nor will Rolyuk. He... if he has survived, will be hunting me. Which.. is the only reason I'd tell you to stay. " FallenRains isnt going to lie to Ice from Frozen River. Its not his nature, and besides, its wrong. He doesn't want his mate to stay behind. He loves him.

Clearing his throat the silver cat begins to slowly groom his mate - its not much, but it's all he can do. He takes a break, breathes in shakily, "did Storm and her family make it?"

"Storm made it." Ice confirmed softly. "Her mother too. It seems like most of the tribe are doing alright, although there's a lot of injuries - we're still not sure Wasp won't end up blind, and some of the to-bes fought far harder than anyone expected of them."

He settled down further in to a more comfortable position. "I haven't checked in on the mothers and kits, but I'm certain no-one got to them."

[Alpha*]

"I can help Wasp. I can heal them." Is said quietly, "help me up." He doesn't wait for a response, just levers one paw at a time into the position to rise, though he's wincing and panting before he's even half done. "I'm uh.. glad.. most everyone is okay.." He pauses, "are you alright Ice?"

Of course he knows Noone has died in the Tribe, fortunately the Mera were only trying to drive the Tribe out, not wipe them out. Except they wanted to kill Ice, which is totally unacceptable.

Bowen he glowers at the cavern entrance and feels as his muscles twitch - part of him wants to go after them. Part of him wants to stay. A questioning humm leaves his throat, but not words.

Ice stood close beside Fallenrains as support, he knew him well enough by now to know that protesting wouldn't make him stop. "I'm alright," he responded softly. There was a nasty cut from his left shoulder blade down his back, but he made no comment to it; his fur obscured it from sight and he'd rather not complain when others had come out of the battle far worse off. "Please be gentle with yourself.."
