1x1 between Alpha* and Daisy!

Ice followed with Fallenrains, tail swaying and daydreaming comfortably. He seemed at ease in his own territory, with this tom by his side. He allowed Fallenrains to lead - his knowledge of where to go didn't seem to disturb him, and he was all around quite comfortable.

It wasn't until they were quite a while away from the caves and the wind had begun to pick up, snow tossing around and obscuring their view, that he suddenly stopped. His breath hitched and his eyes widened as he gazed in to the white abyss, before meowing urgently "we need to hurry up."

[Alpha*]

He shivers, the snow and wind seeming to blow right through him. "Hurry where? It's a few suns before well get there!" He meows, at a loss. What's going on? It's so strange!

"Ice! What do we do?" Is asked, knowing that something was wrong... and the dead are silent.

Ice padded along and stood close beside him, sheltering him only slightly from the strong gusts of wind. He lowered his head and whispered to him "We're being tailed - and not by cats... Stay close beside me, and try to blend in with the snow." They needed to find shelter, that was true, but that had to lose what was tailing them first. Being cornered in a cave would not be good for them.

Ice began to pad along, ears up despite the blizzard that tried to force them down. He wanted to hear everything, and he cast glances behind him and to the sides often. After a while, he shuddered and moved to a crouch, motioning for Fallenrains to do the same. He moved slowly, as if hunting something, then put his tail out to stop Fallenrains in his track so he could scent the air cautiously. Their view was still just a vast expanse of white nothingness.

Hes silently communicates- or rather, hes trying to. And he is upset that They wont answer. Noise all the time except when he needs them!

So, instead, he follows - and obeys. The war tendencies that had been taught him are too easy to fall back into. Too easy to remember and terribly hard to get away from. (This would take a half moon or more to recover from - if Ice thought he was bad the night before, boy is he in for it..)

Blue eyes are wide and paling. He walks and crouches - looking about though he isnt sure why. What is going on?

He longs to know.

FallenRains flicks an ear, listening. What is it? "Ice," he breathes nervously.

A distant cracking of ice under paws made Ice shudder, and he moved his tail to prompt Fallenrains to resume moving. "Just stay very, very-" he wasn't able to finish his sentence.

It that moment a great beast came bounding in to view - around the size of a wolf, but cat like features, huge paws that pounded against the snow and fangs that glinted brightly. A lynx. Before Ice had any time to react, the lynx firmly grasped him in its jaws and hurled him without hesitation in to the unknown, out of sight - in to the confusing white abyss. Turning on Fallenrains, it began to growl lowly "Newcomer.." - but.. that was easily understood. Why could it speak? The sound of Ice finally hitting ground made it obvious he had travelled quite a distance, and most likely down.

But if this lynx had taken such time to learn, why try to kill now?

He feels them flood through his body - power that otherwise he couldn't have access too. Unafraid he stands tall; "Lynx, " is mowed in the lynx toung, he flicks an ear at the sound. "Why toss Ice?" He asks, the words sending warmth through his chest. "Your name is Kipsa....I'm FallenRains. " he switches back to the common tongue, lips tingling. "We mean you no harm if you dont harm us."

Kispa's lips were curled back as it glared at him. "He is not welcome," She growled lowly. "He means harm. He always does." Kispa approached Fallenrains, seeming now more angry but a little less aggressive. "He always does." The lynx repeated again.

Previously, Ice had been once sent to rid the territory of Kipsa, before everyone was aware of the lynx's (previously) docile nature. Kipsa had always been curious, approaching cats and tipping them over to give them a good look, attempting to play with them when he was younger, even going as far as to try and provide them with prey, so when a little party was sent out to drive her away.. you could say Kipsa felt more than a little betrayed. It wasn't until their claws and teeth had sunk in to the Lynx it finally decided it's new stance on cats - those ones, at least.

In a flash of red, the lynx had dropped fallenrains'- yes, fallenrains'- red cloth on to the floor. "This smells like you. If it's yours - which I believe it is- take it and leave. Do not bother returning for your travel mate."

[Alpha*]

"I need him." Is said softly, tentatively taking the cloth and pulling it gratefully around his neck. "I'm sorry they hurt you Kipsa - .... they, we... often hurt what we dont understand. " he knows, he has been hurt before. "But something is hunting our kinds. Taking them away. Please. "

The silver cat flicks an ear again, shivering. "I have no choice. The star cats... they make me... they..." panic claws it's way into his throat, "Ice -"

He hears the dead, speaking. "I believe, " is stated after the first few moments, "that you are to come with us. Please come with us."

Kipsa's gaze glanced briefly to the dead, giving him away, though it returned quickly to fallenrains. He knew they were there - though they were mere shadows, wisps of snow in the form of a figure, mere whispers - they were there.

The Lynx didn't care.

"There is nothing in this for me." Kipsa spat after a few moments of thought. "All that can become of this is more harm." Though the lynx sat, it's posture was straight and prepared to bound away. Ice still hadn't returned in to view.

FallenRains pauses again, "I guarantee you a place beside me." The words are soft; "weather the tribe wants you or not Kipsa, you will be welcomed with me."

Surely, this other cat can hurt him. Kill him. But...

FallenRains offers that sweet, open smile - "We can change their minds and change our worlds." He knows, he can see it. "They have done us both wrongly, but.... we shouldn't return hurt for hurt."
