" How on earth did you ever manage to tame him?" she asked Lucas, carefully maintaining her distance away from the stall. " Especially seeing how calm he is now as opposed to only moments earlier."

"Hmm? You mean you can't answer that yourself princess? That hurts you know.", said Lucas feigning as though he were highly insulted, "I charmed him of course. No living creature can resist my particular unbridled charms.....even a equine. Surely you can attest to that or do I not charm you?" A devilish grin pulled at the corners of his mouth and, breifly, the look of a hunter flashed in his eyes. But it was quickly replaced by warm laughter. The general shaking having amused himself as he turned to finish tacking up the beast that would be their steed. Once he made sure the saddle was securely on the dark stallion's back and checked that the bridle would not cause him discomfort. "No. I'm afraid the truth is less glamerous as I have had him since he was a day old. My brother has his elder sibling.", explained Lucas leading Theron out of his stall. The horse tossing his head snorting as though he thought himself the superior mount in the barn.....which in fact he more then likely did. He turned his head to Akira flaring his nostrils a bit. "Well I believe it is ladies first. May I be of service and aide the princess?"

When Licas had first started responding to her questions, she tilted her head in confusion. What had she said to offend him? However, he started speaking about himself having unbridled charms...and proceeded to ask her, essentially, if she found him charming. " well I..." she started In choppy speech, blushing and averting her gaze to anywhere but at him. That being said, she missed the look of a hunter that had briefly crossed his face. She didn't return her gaze till he started telling her the true story of how he tamed his steed. " well, that's a sweet little story." She had intended to give him a better response to his story , but she was too focused on taking a step back for every step Theron took forward. She glanced at Lucas when he asked to assist her. " Y-yes... yes you may." She stated, holding her hand out to Lucas.

It may have been strange to most to see a royal, particuarly, the seated ruler, working at all let alone in the kitchen. Yet that was exactly what the young queen was busy doing at the moment. Aralynn was well schooled in a number of domestic tasks including the likes of cooking....per the late queen. The young royal's mother saw such domestic tasks as essential for any proper budding women to know as well as a practical safety measure. "Haruna. Did you mix the cream and eggs yet?", Aralynn asked as she dumped lard into a skillet.

He hummed quietly as they entered the kitchen, and even still as they moved to the counters and cabinets or whatever. He continued to hum as they set to work to make the good, Aralynn instructing him as to what he could do. He smiled as he did as instructed, a warm smile befitting or his interactions with his sister. He was happy, very happy, to help her, really hoping Akira was close enough to smell it...He nearly jumped when Aralynn questioned him, saying “Yes.”

Why not bring it over and I'll let you start putting the slices into it and then into the lard?", said the young women watching as the last bit of animal fat melted into the pool that had formed in the bottom of the hot iron pot resring on the fire. Moving to the side to give Haruna more room, "I shall worry about locating and grinding the spices."

The young man couldn't help but chuckle a bit at how unease Akira was once the horse started moving carrying them from the stables. He had half a mischevious mind to kick Theron into at least a quick trot, but ultimately decided against it. Trust and perhaps a spark of friendship was the goal....let her get used to him so, when the time came, Akira would trust him. Even if she acted otherwise a part of her subconcious wouldn't forget the gentile Lucas. She'd cling to it. Perhaps try to get it back even when it was clear he was the bad guy.

Everything to make his inevitable job of being the heir's keeper for however long the crown decided they were usefull alive easier.

"People would talk if we ventured into town and the forest is far too early in our.......us.....", Lucas smiled hearing the quickened pace of the blonde's heartbeat. Though fearfull or excitment was unknown, he deduced excitment from her seeming eagerness earlier. "For my fair lady's comfort and to keep positive face I thought the field you were gazing at beyond the fence would suffice. It will let you spred your wings for awhile frolicking in the meadow which is the point of stealing you away like this. Objections?"
