Akira:
She wasn't sure how long it'd been since she found herself, yet again, captive to a vampire. Except this one was actually taking some of her blood, and had essentially assured her he'd be taking more. All she knew was that at some point, she found the struggle futile, and had relatively ceased in her movements, aside from the occasional shift of how she was lying against the Runemeth soldier.
And then she heard his voice. Apparently, they'd been found- or, at least, she had. Hopefully, Haruna had made it out and was safe. Nonetheless, perhaps their fate would at least be a bit better if they spent their days with the Renier family. She had known all along trying to escape, especially at night, was likely a fool's mission. But she had hoped, truly, that they would make it. Make it all the way home, back to Emberelic. Alive. Safe... she didn't know if they'd ever have another chance to go back.
Still- at least this way, so long as the Reniers found Haruna, they'd be alive. And they'd have each other.
So she slowly opened her eyes, and instantly wish that the vampire would've have went about siphoning her blood away. Then her vision would be blurred- if she was conscious at all. Instead she had to deal with a horror that was nearly worse than the Lucas she had seen fighting Lira. This one held no emotion in his gaze- nearly a lifeless void in the color of scarlet. But his outward appearance was stained as red as the night was by the moon, if not more so. His clothes, hands, and face, all covered in crimson. And it was fresh. So fresh that it still glistened in the dim light, so fresh that she worried that, if she truly looked for it, she'd be able to see droplets of it dripping off of him. She daren't try to guess who's blood it was. Not right now. Perhaps not ever. She was starting to learn some things were better left unknown. They'd all be happier then, or at least she hoped.
To the vampire soldier, Lucas's appearance was quite the sight to behold and definitely ranked as a 100 on a fear scale from 1-10. Though he couldn't tell if it was human or vampire. Therefore, he looked up at the pureblood with a wary gaze. Well, pardon my tongue, sir, but- " he held up the female's hand. " it had seemed this human was no longer under your protection? How am I to know if you aren't just wanted to keep this luxurious feast all to yourself? Purebloods have always been rather greedy, claiming all the high-quality humans for themselves."
