The young man had turned to usher both Emberelic Heirs back to the house, but Akira had gotten to him beforehand. The young man's eyes were wide and doubled so when the princess pressed the ring into his hands. But both humans and vampires were gone before he could protest. He stared down at the jewel in his palm frowning and fearfull.

Akira:
When Haruna arrived with not just the one he'd been riding, but both of his equine, she smiled. " Glad to see you came." It took her a few tries, but she finally managed to get on the equine with the help of a fallen tree.
" First, we head to the town; then there's some back roads Lucas had taken me on earlier than was a shortcut to a farm of sorts. From what I could tell, that place wasn't far from the edge of town. It's our best bet at getting out of here. I only wish we had some way of concealing our scent so they won't find us so easily..."
she kicked the horse's side- something she had seen Lucas do to get his to go- and seemed to have succeeded. And so began their descent to the town, upon which she kept an eye out for the ally Lucas had taken her down initially. There were still some people out and about- though if they were human or vampire she couldn't tell. Hopefully it would mean there's a less chance of trouble.
But as they rode, she still couldn't help as something ominous still lurked in the night- as if the night's troubles weren't ready to give in just yet.

The dark haired vampire

Haruna- 18- male- Embere Heir- homosexual- estate- Tags: Rigel, Akira, Lucas

The dark haired boy hummed and nodded to his sister, seeing her smile. It did nothing to take his mind off Rigel... but it warmed his heart. He watched as she got up on the black horse. He was riding the red one of course, and she didn't seem to want to ride with him. He was perfectly fine with this, however. As long as she stuck close, he wouldn't complain. His simple one word answer of "Okay," hopefully sufficed. He then thought on what she said about wanting to conceal their scent, and shook his head.

Angel moved to stick close to Demon, as Akira moved Demon. They both plodded down towards the town now, moving slow but not too slow. Then they both sped up a bit. Haruna said "There is no way to hide our scent, unless...unless we rub something gross on us. Blood...blood or something would hide it, maybe? I don't think you want to do that, though." He then looked around a bit as the horses continued on. Even he felt something still wasn't quite right here...

Lucas

"Careful now, your baby brother is delicate at this time thanks to that Hunter...damn it! I just said I was delicate!"

"Yes I know. I can hear."

"Cockroach!"

"Snail."

Rigel glared at Lucas following his older brother's form as it moved about after dumping him onto the couch of the main living area. But it was a meaningless glare. More of a silent scolding between the vampire siblings if anything. The blonde was weak, no question about that. Between the bloodless, injuries and that exploding vile that had the dust of crushed wild roses the youngest Renier was lucky he was alive. He was easy prey for Lira had the dark haired heir not shown up. But then....somehow Lucas always knew when he needed help getting out of a jam. Just like how Rigel could always read the emotionless General whom nobody else could understand or hope too.

Lucas took a seat beside the younger heir. Then carefully and with precision started to evaluate Rigel's injuries in a more in depth manner compared to the glance over from outside. His side and arm wounds were minor....scratches really that would heal quickly enough and were of no need for concern. The blonde's other injuries though? From the little bit of an explanation which Rigel had given on their way into the house, what had lamed his leg was an arrow shot by the female Hunter which managed to get pass his drained space defensive technique. That would be a problem. While it didn't hit bone or another vital part of the leg, the wound was decently deep and would require time and feeding to heal. It was also the greatest cause of bloodloss. Ripping the male's pant leg for a better inspection only served to confirm this thinking. Then there was the bite mark left behind when Lira dug her own fangs into the younger Renier Heir's wrist, and it was this that made Lucas hot under the collar. A Hunter.....feeding from a pureblood.....it was a disgusting thought. The sheer nerve.

"Well Healer Luke? Is my immortal life over?", asked Rigel in a rather board tone as he watched the proceedings.

"You, my foolish defiant brother, will live several more centuries but not without going through an arduous healing process. We will treat your leg wound and where that mutt bit you. Then we will have to call more villagers for you to feed so you can heal properly and regain your strength.", replied Lucas not looking up from what he was doing. He paused, "What I am worried for is the rose and vervain you inhaled." As way of explanation, the General ran a finger over the shoulder of the other vampire to show Rigel the very dust he had breathed in from the vile. "She tried to use this on me as well and, though I foiled it, what is left over on you is effecting me enough. And it is in your throat, lungs and bloodstream now. We will have to deal with that."

Akira:
" Let's see now... which one was it.." It was hard to tell in the dark, though lamplight lit up the main streets. The alleys only had what the moon provided, and occasionally some glowing flora. A shame the sands of the hourglass were against them- she had originally wanted to observe the rather peculiar plants.
But survival was more important than plants. " oh- here we are. I believe this is it. " she stopped before am alley to their left, its entrance adorned by the glowing flora, though absent of it inside. " Well... here goes nothing then, yes?" She was hesitant to enter. What if they got lost? What if a vampire attacked? There wasn't exactly room for the equine to gallop at full speed... but on the maim roads they risked getting questioned, stopped, or captured...or, even worse, causing inconvenience and danger to innocent civilians in the wake of their escape.

Which was why in the end, she chose the alley, her choice revolving entirely out of keeping the innocent free from harm as much as possible. " your earlier statement wasn't a bad idea though, Haruna. But blood would only draw more vampires towards us, remember? Perhaps if we can find a pond or something of the like- Its a warm night, but...nevermind. with your illness that idea is futile." From then she continued to guide them both through the maze, as cautiously but confidently as she could- feeling as if they were being watched the whole time.

Perhaps it was the endless depths of the dark playing tricks on her mind. Maybe it was the paranoia- but at one point, she could've swore she heard whispering, becoming them towards their demise, with promises of all sorts. Some bartered the eternity of life- others the finality of a quick but blissful death. A few even offered riches untold, but they all were like sirens in a ocean of black.

Hence why it was a relief when she saw before her and Haruns an exit, through which the aforementioned farm could be seen. " We made it" she whispered with a relieved smile, glancing to Haruna. " We'll let the equine stop for a swift drink while we're here, but we mustn't dally- the more distance we can put between us from now until the night falls next, the better. "

"Well well well, what have we here? The two little Emmerich heirs, all alone put here in the night?" Her pride fell when her gaze returned to the exit, only to find a particular vampire there, donning the same attire as the ones who attacked them. The moon hit his face with just enough light that she could tell who exactly it was- the vampire that had nearly bit her back at the highguard estate- but suddenly had backed off. At the time she hadn't quite know why. She did now, and she was far from thrilled, searching around for another route for escape. All it served to reveal was that a couple more vampires crouched on the roofs of the buildings making up the maze of alleys- and that going back in was their only way out.
Do you know how hard it was for some of us not to gorge ourselves on your blood the other night? he spoke to the both of them. [i] we were dying for a taste of royal Emberelic blood... but I see now the two of you are no longer under *his* protection..."

The dark haired boy hummed and listened to her talk. He looked at the lamps, then the streets, then shook his head. He stopped as well, when she did, and looked at the flora at the mouth of the alley. He nodded when she spoke once more. He sighed as he said "Yeah...sorry." He then went down the alley with her, listening as she kept speaking. He continued to follow her down the alley. He still felt like something was wrong, like something might happen...He only shook his head, trying to ignore his mind. As well as the voices he too thought he might be hearing. He hummed as he finally saw an exit, and lowered his head a moment. He then raised it, to see the farm there. He felt a wash of relief come over him like a wave. He looked to his sister and nodded to her, saying "That's a good idea." He then nodded about not taking too long however. He hummed quietly as he yet again simply said "Okay," to that.

Then a voice sounded, and he looked up, something about it making him shudder...Maybe it was just a normal human, yeah. He saw the clothes and realized, no, this was no human...He looked up, something telling him to, and saw the others. We shouldn't have left, we shouldn't have... These were in his head, thoughts, then he spoke aloud. "A-Akira," was all he could actually manage to say, though. A shudder passed through him, wondering if they were going to die here...

"Watch it!"

"My appologies."

"Yow! Carefull with how much pressu-Luke!"

"I am not trying to be rough on purpose. You would know if I was."

"I am almost two centuries old! I understand that is a pittance compared to you at seven but-the hell!? Oh you are dead!"

"Oh? You are going to kill me in your pathetic state? A state which a Hunter put you in? My my Baby Brother, such gall." Lucas reached deftly up to catch an arm which was swung at him in response to his comment. Was he being a little rougher then normal, especially considering he was dealing with his brother at the moment? Yes. Yes he was. And quite frankly Lucas didn't care thanks to his more then sour mood right then either. Rigel could have been killed by Lira if he hadn't sensed something was amiss and shown up at a convenient time. On top of that, perhaps worse not that the heir would admit it to even himself, was the look on Akira's face. The look in her eyes as they watched each other and seeing her step back away from what was going on. Stepping back away from him. Stepping away from him in fear...horror...at that too like she was afraid for her life. While the cold hard truth was that the Emberelic Princess had nothing to fear from the Runemeth General, even if he was himself right then. The pureblood would never raise hand or fang against Akira, no.....more like couldn't. It was something which the dark haired male knew he was physically incapable of doing...harming the blonde young women. "I am going to explain the true depth of their situation to them tonight. Lira has exposed us by attacking you though somehow I suspect that the prince has known the truth for quite some time-"

Rigel didn't speak. Instead choosing to keep smartly silent, not when his brother already knew the truth.

"-It would have been best to keep them both in the dark but with the truth out that is too much of a risk. We have no choice now but to tell them and alert His Majesty to the recent developments."

“Which means me. I always have to write the reports and send them off to His Majesty, your reports are so poorly written a rock could not make heads or fangs of anything you put to parchment. Don’t fret your fangs, I will be silent regarding the Hunters. We do not need to bring work home with us.”, said Rigel.

"I-I am sorry but...My Lords?"

Both vampires turned red eyes to a certain man who had wondered into the living area.

"-there...there is something you both should be aware of.....about the Prince and Princess...."

Akira:
"Go..." she spoke softly, her worried gaze meeting Haruna's. " Go!" with a shout this time as she figured out how to get the equine to turn around and take off. For some reason the universe insists on our demise...have we not fallen far enough? her thoughts raced much like the equine, but she could only hope she and Haruna wouldn't get separated in the chaos, or by the vampires in pursuit of them. She hated this- every part of it. That she'd been born a royal. That she'd let Aralynn force them to leave Emberelic. That she'd let herself listen to the siren song Lucas sang, letting herself be swept away in the melody of a dream... Lucas... were your words ever naught but a lie?

She hadn't been prepared, then, for when the equine reared. Hadn't had the time to wrap her arms around its neck. The princess had been so focused on getting Haruna and her out of this alive and unharmed, weaving through the maze, she hadn't noticed their primary assailant leaping down from the rooftops, landing in front of the horse. A few others between her and her brother. Therefore she fell off, a stinging sensation where her right shoulder had hit the wall, her hand baring a slight scrape from where she had used it to protect her head. The last thing she needed was a head injury.

Breathing heavily from the adrenaline, she made to stand- only to find herself face-to-face with the vampire from the high guard estate. " Fear not- if the blood in both of your veins turns out to be liquid gold, perhaps we shall let you live. " This is where we die... she thought, staring up at him. ...No. If we were to die, we would have done so already. Those who dance with death can only pray he's in a good mood- but even he has his favorites. Those who are favored by death do not die easily." and so she swiftly hiked up the side of her skirt, removing the stake Lira had given her. It was no surprise she missed- but it worked well enough to give her an opening. With a nod and regretful glance at Haruna, she hoped he would take the brief distraction to run as well.

It seemed like all they were doing these days was running. Constantly. Every night. Perhaps death would've been a reprieve- but even if just by instinct alone, she didn't wish to die, no matter how freeing it would be. But for the love of the heavens, were these alleys so labrynth-like earlier? She felt as if she was drowning in the darkness, running from whatever horrors still waited in the stories of Pan's Labrynth, while he stood idly watching and enjoying the show. The illusion had shattered, it's charming colored glass shattering to reveal the terrors beyond, the skeletons that had been best left hidden. The moon painted the night with a red-orange light, the harvest moon itself more red than orange in it's color. And yet the night was oddly peaceful and quiet away from the human duo. The night birds were quiet, only the occasional call- the wind hardly enough to stir the leaves, and the air was warm. how ironic...

Crimson.

It seemed that colour had been popping up a lot lately as of late.

The sky was stained with red light from the harvest moon hanging over head in the clear sky. His clothing was stained the colour from his wounds. His eyes wee that colour staring up at the nighttime sky. And now liquid red was spreading slowly but steadily out over the floor of the living area, soaking into the cracks in the wood floor and soaking into the carpet and furniture.

Rigel’s back was turned from the limp, lifeless body laying broken on the floor as he stared from his spot on the couch out the windows. His thoughts went to Haruna first, then to whatever poor fools slipped up tonight.

Akira:

This way. Then that. The Labyrinth went on endlessly, no exit ever in view. " Come on now, lost little lamb. You can't run from me forever~" his words sounded as if they were echoing all around her, in every direction. She couldn't tell which way would lead to the exit, what to more labyrinth, and what to a dead end (quite literally). Her human eyes weren't suited for this either- humans weren't equipped with night vision. Plus her limbs were weary all over again, and she ached from being thrown off the horse.

Upon her next turn, she had thought perhaps she was nearing an exit- only to find she had reached a dead-end instead, just shy of an exit. Frantically the princess hunted for some means of climbing up and over the wall, even when any glimmer of hope of escape was dashed. " Sheesh- you gave me quite the run for my money There. For a moment I had thought you might actually escape" The vampire soldier had laughed as he spoke, and it was a charming laugh. She could see now how she had so easily been fooled. Vampires...they were just as alluring as they were dangerous, like a perfectly blossomed rose with poison-tipped thorns. It wasn't hard to be lured in by their charms if one never saw the fangs and claws until it was far too late. Woo~ I think I nearly shed a tear! But alas, as much as I've been enjoying our little game of cat and mouse, little lamb, I'm famished. Really, you shouldn't look so scared. Tis is not better with me, who may let you live, then one of the savage newly-turned?" She wasn't paying him much attention- she had found a foothold in the wall, attempting to scale it.

Then a brick slipped loose, and she fell- right into the waiting arms of the vampire. She wished she would've hit the ground instead.
" There we go- much better, yes? I promise I'll do my best to be gentle, and keep you comfortable...just stay still, ok? Wouldn't want to go and accidentally rip out that pretty little throat of yours." Though he didn't plan to pierce her skin with his fangs just yet- that was always the most thrilling part of the hunt. No, he would relish this first. Therefore, he sat down, one arm staying firmly around her as she tried to break his hold. Leaning his back then against the wall, he took out his personal blade, putting a small cut on the forearm of the girl, a placed his mouth against it. He savored the taste of her blood, letting his fangs graze her skin, careful not to pierce it, however, as she writhed.
