"Well, while the dough rises I will be starting on the main course. As for you, I went ahead and prepared all the ingredients for the rolls' drizzle over there. It'll be a sweet orange-flavored cream. Everything has already been measured out. All I need for you to do mix them together, in no particular order. Just make sure it is thoroughly mixed. After that, I can handle the rest- so long as you are capable of picking out and cutting up whatever fruit you wish to have tonight. If you're unsure how to cut a particular one do let me know, but for the majority, aside from the berries and the strawberries, do mind the pit- that hard portion in the center of the fruit. It is most uneatable and uncuttable, so its best to cut around them. "
Lira:
At one point she had snuck out of the building in pursuit of the Renier heir and the human boy. Of course, she stayed downwind and kept her distance, lest the vampire notices her presence. This was just rediculous- the two seemed to be flirting. In most cases she wouldn't have given a single care. But a vampire- a pureblood at that- flirting with a human? That was just unheard of among vampires of prestige. Most purebloods ended up with other purebloods, vampire aristocrats wedding those from other note-worthy families. But never, never did a pureblood romance a human unless it was for pure temporary amusement. In fact, some pureblooded families forbid even the notion of such a thing. Though she couldn't tell if this particular instance was truly a romantic endeavor or the bored pursuits of an immortal, especially when compared to that of the oldest Renier and the human girl. Though he tried to deny it, the Renier obviously cared for the girl to at least some extent. Even if there are ulterior motives in having the girl around, to go out of his way to such an extent, so much so that he himself was willing to put aside his work to fulfill the whims of the girl, proved there was some affection there.
With a scoff she allowed the duo to finally move out of earshot, mostly so she could scheme. Who knows how long it would be until the other vampire returned with the girl- and she doubted he would stand by and let his fellow pureblood be slain, even if it meant exposing to the human girl what he really was. And if he returned, there wouldn't be even the slightest chance she would succeed. At least in keeping with the element of surprise, there was a chance with this one and this one alone. Plus, she daren't bring backup. There was no need to risk exposing, or worse, causing the death of, her entire pack. All this meant was that she needed to strike before true night settled in. The oldest Renier likely wouldn't keep the human girl out past dusk, and sunset was swiftly approaching. Therefore, she would strike at precisely sunset. Dark enough but not so much so that the other vampire would return...she hoped. But that meant she needed to finish her prep- quickly. So she made her way to where she had stored her Lycan attire and donned it, following all the necessary procedures to disguise her identity, so long as her face didn't get exposed. With her she brought all the weapons she could possibly carry without hindering her performance- an abundance of daggers, a few slightly longer blades, and some viles of dried vervain and wild roses. Though she had to admit, she was rather proud of two of the viles in particular- some vervain and wild roses she had managed to grind so finely that it became a loose powder. Combining those with a few special ingrediants, and she made something astounding- a vile of finely ground vervain/wild rose that would spontaneously combust as soon as the vile breaks open. The worst it could do to her would be to give her some minor cuts and perhaps some powder in her eyes- nothing she couldn't handle if worst came to worst. The thing was, they were hard to make- so she had to use them sparingly. Then of course she had a crossbow strung across her back. Then, of course, she made sure her fangs were still as sharp as ever, and (after a moment of contemplation) poured a bit of extra rosewater over herself.
Finally she double-checked her preparations. "Now. Let the hunt begin."
Akira:
Admittedly, the meal was quite filling- and delicious at that. She nearly hadn't had room for the dessert she had ordered- some sort of bread-like substance contained in a concotion of milk, cream, egg, cinnamon, and a few other ingrediants. 'Bread Pudding" they had called it. " I must say, if Aralynn ever has the opportunity to visit your city, she absolutely has to pay a visit to this abode. The dessert here is divine- she would love it even more so than I." she smiled after taking a few sips of water.
