indentonce he climbed into the car and got comfortable in the passenger's seat, he threw a side-ways glance at rosie. "i figured you'd probably linger like a stray if i slammed the door in your face," he grumbled. he looked out the window, his attention turning to her again when she mentioned gambling and anthony being her favorite future cousin in law. "good," he muttered when she told him she wasn't here to talk to him out of his anger like his wife lana has been trying to do the past few days. anthony didn't even think there would be a wedding between his cousin and rosie, both seeming to have cold feet about the subject. but he didn't care to dwell on it. "not even favorite, just you're only cousin in law. at-least the only one who'll gamble." he pointed out bluntly. there were probably some on giorgia's side but they've only met rosie probably one or two times so he supposed they couldn't count for much.

"Mm, and I do love gambling. What better way to bond than to see how much of your cousins money we can blow in one afternoon?" She joked, pulling into the highway and speeding up. "I wasn't lying when I said I wasn't going to talk you into forgiving Romeo. Truth is, I get where you're coming from. I know if anyone else had killed Otto for me, especially if they were sent by someone who knew what killing him meant to me, I'd be livid." She was hoping this could be somewhere they find common ground, murder.

indent"yeah, and then we'd both end up in an early grave knowing how greedy and possessive that bozo is with his money," he said lightly. romeo was in the perfect business because he liked money and he'd do anything to get it, be it bribery, extortion, black-mail or murder. he fell silent again. it was even more difficult to talk to a stony anthony than a stony romeo because all he said were a few words before shutting down. he looked over at her when she spoke about her cousin otto. he remembered when she showed up to beatrice's party weeks after disappearing, handing him evidence of her cousin's death. he sighed. "yeah," he murmured, falling quiet again for a few moments. then, he spoke again, his tone sounding different than the cold one he usually spoke in. "that meant everything to me. finding out who did it and getting revenge. i know people said revenge isn't the right way to go but in this business, the worst you can do is kill someone and that's your retaliation. i was so close with my father; he was the only person i had. i didn't have a mother in my life or any siblings. gallo was supposed to be mine. but romeo couldn't get off his golden pedestal for one second and at-least request a sit-down with richie because he's so damn prideful. he'd probably rather get shot than admit he's wrong about anything."

"Clearly you just don't know the right ways into his wallet," Rosie dug a thick wad of cash out of her pocket, dropping it into Anthony's lap. She listened quietly as Anthony talked about Gallo, unsure if she should reveal it was her idea or not. By the time he had finished talking she decided it was better he knew now than find out later, "look, I'm not going to lie to you. I suggested to Romeo he take that route. Only because I could see he was struggling to get around Richies mark on him. But, I also suggested he let you take him out, Romeo made the choice for himself, but I guess I shouldn't pretend I wasn't in the room." She said bluntly, unsure of Anthony's reaction but willing to bear the consequences of her honesty. "Personally, I would've just let you done the hit and down an actual job at covering it up, but I ain't no don."

indentanthony frowned as the wad of cash was dropped into his lap. he picked it up and observed it, not sure how to feel about rosie taking money out of romeo's wallet or her running off to gamble only after a few weeks of having a baby but it wasn't his place to speak on it. when he heard her confession, though, his attention turned to her, his gaze sharp. "no, you're not," he hissed. "god-dammit, this is what happens when you whisper in romeo's ear like a little bird. i swear to god-" he rubbed the side of his face with one of his hands, contemplating just jumping out of the car right then and there. he took in a deep breath. "whatever," he finally sighed, not having the energy to convey the amount of anger he truly felt. "none of it will matter when lana and i move away from this god-forsaken city." he had already decided they were to move down to florida, to be closer to lana's family and so he could be far, far away from the bianchis. it was time for him to leave the nest, time for him to find his own way and own path. granted, florida would not exactly be the safest place with richie ruling there as the most notorious kingpin but anthony didn't care. when leonardo died, a part of anthony would die with him, the part of him that had been raised by the man after his father was killed. and when the former mob boss died and romeo was left to his own devices, anthony wasn't going to stick around for that fall-out.

"It's his fault for listening to me, I don't know how any of your mafia nonsense works." Rosie defended herself. She looked over at Anthony as he mentioned moving away, before turning her eyes back to the road, "Hm, Romeo won't like that. Although, it seems like doing things that hurt the other is just how you to show affection," she commented, pressing on the gas a little harder than necessary.

indent"it doesn't matter what he feels about it. it's what lana and i want to do," he retorted. he knew that mobster families typically stick and live together but anthony couldn't take it anymore. he didn't want to be in the same home as romeo, someone who went behind his back and did something he knew would hurt anthony anyway. her comment caused him to bristle again. "you don't know anything about the relationship we have," he growled. "and you don't know anything about me and you don't even know everything there is to know about him so don't make assumptions." he knew she would make assumptions, anyway, but still. she didn't really know anthony - not really, considering he avoided her like a plague - and while romeo and anthony did have a bad streak of lashing out at each other, anthony attacking romeo was perhaps the first time he's ever hurt him with intent to harm. she didn't even know everything about romeo, things that anthony has come to realize about him since they were children, but that was to be expected considering they've been together for a relatively short time and just jumped into a relationship.

"I know that you're leaving because Romeo made a bad call, and you can't forgive him because grudges are 'til death with you people," she snapped, "I don't care to know anything about you and don't pretend to know everything about Romeos, so keep your own assumptions yourself. All I'm saying is Romeo did something that hurt you so now you're trying to him back, at least that's how it looks. I don't care what you do, you leaving would honestly be pretty good for me, I'm just calling it like I see it, so hold off on the hostility." She grumbled, taking a turn too harshly.

indent"a bad call? that wasn't a bad call! he knew what he was doing! and don't tell me to lay off on the hostility!" he snapped, her words doing nothing to calm the good ole bianchi temper. "of course, me leaving would seem pretty good to you because with me leaving and leonardo dying, the last two people to remind you of what you did to my cousin by leaving him for days in that warehouse to have each and every one of his ribs snapped in half like twigs by those goons would be gone and i'm sure that'll be a conscience reliever!" it wasn't fair for anthony to bring that up but then again, he wasn't romeo. he held grudges and perhaps he was still angry that rosie was never truly held accountable for what she had done, that romeo had accepted her back with loving arms because he was such a blinded fool. anthony hasn't forgotten the way he had hung so limply in nicholas's arms when the soldier had picked him out of the car after they returned to the compound. he knew he needed to let it go; rosie wasn't going anywhere anytime soon and him holding a grudge was becoming tiring. nevertheless, he didn't want to argue, more along the lines he was tired of being so mad all the time. he sighed. "ugh. look, i'm sorry about that comment. let's just drop it, okay? talking about this crap isn't doing us any good."

Rosie didn't say anything, just glared st the road as she drove. If looks could kill the truck in front of the would probably be in flames. After almost an hour of silence, Rosie spoke in a deadly calm voice, "if I had done my job, you, Romeo, and Leonardo would be dead, and your family would crumble. Otto had a plan, a good one, and I was ready to follow it. Be thankful I didn't. And be even more thankful I'm on your side now." She slammed the brakes, "we're here." She got out of the car, slamming the door harshly. They were in front of a casino on the side of the highway, a small establishment with neon light glowing even in the midday. Rosie didn't even look back at Anthony as she stormed inside, headed straight for the bar.
