After a while, Karkat found what looked like a good place. It was less bright and loud than some others, and there weren't so many people inside.
"This one?" He asked, looking over at Dave to check he was okay.

"Yeah, sure," Dave responded, looking up at the place Karkat stopped at.

Karkat smiled at him, and wandered over into the restaurant. He felt a little nervous stepping in, but tried to be braver so Dave didn't panic more. There were no other trolls in the restaurant, and it worried him slightly, but everything seemed to go okay as they sat down.

Dave nervously sat down, trying to keep calm. "So, uh," he began shakily, "this place seems crowded..."

"Are you sure you're okay?" Karkat asked, getting more and more worried for Dave.

"I'm telling you, I'm fine," he responded, somewhat frustrated.

"Okay," Karkat murmured quietly. He didn't want to upset Dave, so he stopped asking him any questions and instead stopped to look at the menu.

"Look I'm really sorry," Dave sighed after about five minutes of pure silence. He looked away to the empty floor beside him.

"Dave seriously, it doesn't bother me," Karkat said, "I just don't ever want to make you uncomfortable."

"It's fine if you do," Dave protested kindly, "I don't like putting so much stress on you."
