Outcast 1x1 with the_kiiwii

Penn took the punch in the face. Brilliant! The idiot hit him first! This wasn't Penns first rodeo, he knew how the school punished fights and he knew first hand that the first to hut got a lot more trouble . He even had witnesses! Kara might not back him up but Avalon totally would!

'"Oh you're done!" Penn pounced at Justin, no real plan apart from punch and kick until someone pulled them apart. He usually tried to rip some feathers out of his opponents wings, nothing says 'I got my ass beat' that missing chucks of feathers, they take ages to grow back too so the loser walks around with that reminder for weeks. Pen was determined rip out as many of Justin's as he could.

Justin yelped when Penn jumped at him and tore at his feathers. He hadn't expected such a rough attack right away. He managed to kick Penn off of him though. Next he went for the angels legs in order to knock Penn off of his feet for a moment.

In the distance two librarians shouted for the two to stop it. Though Justin didn't seem to back off. He was going to go after Penn till he was torn off.

Avalon noticed the woman running up to the two tussling angels. He reached for Penn trying to pull him away from the brown haired angel. "C'mon Penn, get off. Before you get into serious trouble!" he warned. Avalon didn't want to see Penn hurt or in deep trouble but he also didn't want Justin to get yelled at. Afterall it was Penn who's tatted the fight.

Penn fell to the floor but it didn't do much to deter him. He barely got to his feet before lunging at Justin again, this time trying to drag him onto the floor. He was putting up a fight he had to admit it. Once it was clear pulling Justin down was going nowhere, Penn opted to just punch him and try to knee him in the stomach.

The librarians yelling did nothing, Penn ignored it all. When someone tried to pull him off, Penn simply swung his elbow into whoever it was and kept on fighting. The only way he was going to stop would be if Justin gave up or they were ripped apart from eachother.

Avalon hadn't been expecting an elbow to the chest chest, in the slightest. He stumbled back as it knocked the wind out of him. The harpy coughed. He really didn't consider that Penn would do such a thing, Avalon was just trying to help.

Justin put up a good fight but when Penn actually punched him, Justin was hurt pretty bad. And he was stunned from the pain for a moment, allowing Penn some time to knee him in the stomach.

Pretty quickly the librarians were there, pulling the two angels away from each other. The older woman with grey hair pulled into a bun shouted at them. Things about how they shouldn't fight like that, especially not in a public area and how they were going to be in big trouble. She grumbled about how she would call the police so they could deal with the students and their school.

Penn struggled to keep hold of Justin as the librarians pulled them apart until his grip slipped and they were pulled away. Justin looked done but Penn had adrenalin to spare. Now he struggled to get away from the librarian that had him.

The old lady yelling was getting on his nerves. "Oh can it you old cow! He hit me first! Ain't that right Av?" Penn turned about, looking for the harpy. "You saw it aye Av?" Avalon would be the only person on his side in this. He really didn't care about the school getting called but the police were a different matter entirely.

The woman still managed to hold on to the young angel as he fought. Though she did look to the harpy when Penn spoke to him. She didn't really care about who started it herself but it was important information for the school.

Avalon didn't wish to answer that. He felt so much pressure. If he said Penn started it he would get int trouble but if he said Justin started it the brown haired boy would get in trouble."... Uh um... Y-yes Justin did hit him first... But uh. he... He didn't technically start it... " he muttered. Avalon didn't want to get either of them in trouble, especially not Penn but he didn't wish to just lie about everything.

" Well no matter who started it you're both in big trouble. This is for your school to deal with. Not me." a man walked towards them from behind the desk. He alerted the older librarian that he had called the authorities. So the teenagers had to sit still until they got here.

The first half of what Avalon said caused Penn to grin smugly. He knew Avalon would have his back on this. When he kept speaking tjough, that grin was quickly replacedwith a shocked, confused look. "Av.." Penn said, sounding hurt. There goes any leg up Penn had now. He shook his head. It wouldn't of killed Avalon to lie just a tiny bit. For his only damn friend! Who had let him stay at his damn house when he was kicked out!

This made Penn struggle harder in the librarians arms. He threw a few choice swears at the old man. Why say it's a school issue then say you called the cops?! After a while, Penn eventually wore himself out, silently just beginning to freak out about thd police coming. His mum would be so disappointed. Soon the police came, two officers, a male and female, they asked some questions to the staff and then to Penn and Justin. Penn stuck to his story that Justin started it, Justin saying t h e opposite. The lady went and questioned Kara, the male spoke to Avalon. "Did you see what happened here son?"

Avalon hated the hurt tone of Penn's voice. He swallowed the lump in his throat, realizing that he had messed up. He knew he had to fix this.

When the police questioned Kara she told then exactly what happened. However she did choose her words carefully to make it seem like it was all Penn's fail despite Justin throwing the first punch.

The harpy was clearly nervous the officer questioned him. He nodded, "y-yeah... I was there. " he didn't want to continue though he knew the man would ask what happened. "Um we were all working on a group project together. And Penn was goofing off and Justin yelled at h-him. Penn did not stop until a bit later when I asked for his help but Justin yelled at him again and it sort of escalated.. Uh... But Justin hit him f-first.. Then it turned into them fighting each... Each other." he explained. Avalon left out the part where Penn threatened the other angel. He didn't want his only friend to hate him from now on.

The officer wrote down what Avalon said, thanked him for his time, then went to speak to the other officer to compare notes. There wasn't really anyway to tell who had started it. Penn and Avalon said Justin, Justin and Kara said Penn. It seemed like two teenagers fighting over nothing, nothing new to the officers. Both Penn and Justin got a warning, another fight and there will be consequences. They would still write a report.

They escorted Justin out first, letting him head home before letting Penn leave. He got a harser warning since Justin was in worse shape. Penn didn't argue, nodding his head and biting his tongue until he was outside. He started to walk home before taking a seat halfway to calm himself. That was so close.

Avalon was extremely relieved when it was all over. No one seemed to be in serious trouble. And Avalon was just happy that he didn't have to say anymore. He was far to worried that he would say the wrong thing and get Penn in a lot of trouble.

The harpy left as soon as he could, though everyone did. But he did notice that Penn stayed behind to talk to the officers which worried him. So he waited outside for the angel to be done. Despite knowing it probably wasn't a good idea, he wanted to talk to Penn.

Avalon hadn't paid much attention, he was digging through his bag looking for his bus pass when Penn walked out. The harpy had to jog after him to catch up. He was glad that the man stopped at a bench so Avalon was able to catch up with him. The red haired boy clenched his backpack straps and he stopped in front of Penn."I-is everything alright?" he asked.Avalon didn't want him to be in any trouble. "Why did they make you stay?"
