OOC: Preferably they'd do pre-OP blood work, but appendicitis is an emergency. So they'd give them an IV, sedate them, then get them into the OR.

Alessa peeked out from behind Scarlett to see Max. She didn't give him her paw, should the doctor grab it and stick her with an IV. She was shaking and whimpering pitifully.

Max watched the doctor lady walk over...A nurse had come in with an iv-and-holder, slipping it into Alessa’s arm. They waited a moment to sedate her, then waited again. They were making sure she started to go to sleep.

The same was done to Roman in the other room.


Avalon decided to go back to the hotel.

Alessa struggled a bit as she felt her arm being grabbed and the IV going into her paw. She yelped in pain, tensing up a bit as she stared them down. Alessa knew what was coming next; the mask, then the drugs in the IV to keep her asleep. She hated every part of it.

Max whined a bit when she yelped. His ears went back a moment...He sighed softly, knowing it had to be done. His tail flicked a few times.
The nurse sighed, shaking her head a moment. She put the mask on Alessa, glancing to the doctor a moment. Shaking her head again, she put the sleeping medicine in the IV.

The same was done for Roman.


Avalon decided to go back to the hotel.

Alessa tried her best to avoid the mask, but she was unable to. The girl did her best to stay awake, but she was no match for the medicine. The girl's eyes shut and she went limp.

Max, Jessica, and Maksim were told to stay. Alessa was wheeled off to the OR.

The hospital had managed to fund two ORs. Roman was wheeled off to the other one.

Alessa awoke after the surgery, wincing as she was still in some pain. Although the OR nurse gave her pain killers before the surgery, she was still sore. Alessa didn't even want to look at her incision; she had heard some hospitals shaved the patients' coats while others left them intact.

Roman winced as he woke up, trying to sit up but not allowed to. He whimpered quietly, perk ear going back and tail lashing a bit. He wasn’t going to look at his surgery area because they wouldn’t even let him move.

Jessica glanced to Max a moment.

Alessa kept a tight grip on Scarlett as she looked around the room. She noticed Max and Jessica right away. "T-they only... took my appendix, right?" she asked wearily. Alessa didn't know if anything else had been removed.

Max wondered if she’d hold his paw now. Therefore, he moved quickly over to her. His tail flicked a few times.
Jessica nodded at her. “Yes, just your appendix.” she said.

Maksim had been called on the phone. He’d told Winston to bring food to Tomas’ room. He came back to Alessa’s room.

Ryna glanced to Roman when he whimpered. She took his paw gently.
