“Oh.” She said quietly. She didn’t know what to do about this. She looked up as Luke brought their cupcakes and sat with them. He did not want one. Julia ate hers.

Jaxon took one and ate it, he looked at her, "I know it must be a little scary." he said softly, "But it will be okay."

“You won’t tell mom right?” She asked him quietly. She was really worried about it. She thought about something. “Why don’t you wear shoes?” She asked him.

Jaxon looked at her, "I will need to tell her.' he said softly, "Because we don't want to surprise her." he said gently. When she asked, he chuckled a little, "I like being able to feel the ground under my feet."

“Please don't tell her.” She begged. Julia didn’t want her mom to hate her. “I like to not wear shoes too but mom won’t let me go barefoot.” She said.

Jaxon hugged her tightly, "I know this is scary." he said softly as he held her close and rubbed her back.

She hugged him back. “But what if she won’t let me stay with her anymore?” She asked him. She did not want to be all alone. She didn’t know where her dad was.

Jaxon looked at her in surprise, "She won't abandon you Julia." he said softly, "But, if anything happens, you will always be able to come to Luke and I." he said softly. He rubbed her back gently, "I a sorry you are scared sweetie."

Julia looked at him and nodded a little. She put her head on him and tried to relax but she was so worried about what her mom would say.

Jaxon rubbed her back and hummed to her softly, "It will be okay Julia, being a wolf isn't bad or scary, I am sorry that you have been taught it is." he told her.
