“It’s okay. I don’t want to put any pressure on you. I will be gone for two days and I’m sure I can find someone.” Charlotte said. Luke looked at him. He was okay with watching her a few days. “That is fine if you don’t mind her staying with us. Tess would love to have another girl over to hang out with.” Luke said.

"Especially since Tess broke her foot, she would love the company." he said as he looked over at Luke with a soft smile, "We wouldn't mind at all."

Charlotte sighed quietly. She really did not want to agree to this. But she really didn’t have a choice. “Okay. That would be great.” She said. They were both police officers so it would be okay... right? “I have to be on the plane at 9 AM tomorrow. So if you don’t mind, I will drop her off at 8.” She said to the phone. Luke smiled. He was glad she agreed. Tess would be so happy.

"Okay, we will see you tomorrow morning Charlotte." he said as he listened to her, knowing this would be a hard thing for her, trusting two nearly complete strangers with her child.

“Okay see you.” She said and hung up. Luke smiled. Tess will be so excited.” He said.

He hung up as well, he smiled, "Oh I am sure she will be." he said with a warm smile.

Tess walked over after she woke up. “Can we go to the park?” She asked her dads.

"Sure." Jaxon smiled at her warmly, he kissed her cheek softly, "I love you." he told her warmly and relaxed, picking her up, "How was your sleep?" he asked her, rubbing her back, "Anymore bad dreams?"

She smiled and giggled. “Love you too. I slept well.” She said to him. She was really happy and back to her old self. Even with her foot. “No more dreams.” She said.
