The doctor managed to get the boot on her. “You are free to take her home.” He said to them. Luke looked at his fiancé. “We can go outside for a little bit so you can have more time with her.” He said. He stood and headed out. He looked at his family. He loved his daughter and fiancé. “I will take her home in a little bit to rest.” He said to him. “I told the boss. We both have tomorrow and the next day off for our weekend type time so we can at least spend a few days with her before going back to work.” He said to him. “The schedule came out this morning on an email.” He said.

Jaxon nodded, "Okay." he said softly and gave Tess a sot smiled, "Hear that sweetie?" he asked warmly as he headed outside with them, keeping an eye out for his partner.

Tess nodded. “Yeah dada.” She said to him. She held onto him. She saw his partner but she did not know who it was. His partner saw them and walked over. “Hey.” He said to him. “How’s it going?” His partner asked. Tess his her face in her dads shirt. She stayed close. “I will take her so you can go to work.” Luke said to his fiancé. He held his arms out to take her but she wouldn’t let go.

Jaxon nodded, "Good, it's broken, but she will be okay." he said as he gently tried to pry Tess off, "Sweetheart, you need to go with your daddy." he said softly.

“Okay dada. I love you.” She sniffed sadly. She went to her dad and he held her close. “Dada? Can I ride on your back later?” She asked. “See you later Jaxon.” His fiancé said and smiled at him happily. He really loved him. He headed to the car with Tess.

His partner looked at him. “Cute kid. She really loves you.” He said and headed out.

"I love you too Tess." he said softly, "See you later Luke." he said with a soft smile, he watched them go before he went with his partner, "Yeah, she's oddly attatched to me, I am not sure why, Luke is the one who comforted her after we found her mother." he said softly.

“Maybe it is because you are a wolf. That has to be kind of cool to a little kid.” He said. “I don’t know. But it is kind of funny she is not attached to Luke.” He said and walked to the car and waited for him before he drove.

"I don't know." Jaxon said softly, "And she is, I am not sure why she wants me more today." he said softly.

“That’s coolthough that she loves you so much.” He said to him and got out when they were back at work. He got out and started walking. He was going back to what they were doing before.

"Yeah, she's a good kid." he said softly as he got to work writing tickets again, he was worried about Tess, but he was also worried about the chief.
