“Good idea. You are right. Yeah he has been.” He said and went to his desk and sat down their food. He put his partner’s plate on his desk and started to eat. It was really good.

"Thanks Luke." he smiled, "This is amazing." he said as he ate happily, relaxing as he did so.

“No problem. Glad you like it. I really like being your partner.” He said as he ate. It was true. He was such a good partner.

Martinez smiled, "As am I! You are a good kid Luke." he smiled over at him.

Luke smiled at him. “Thank you. I am glad that you think so.” He said to him with a smile. He finished eating and threw his stuff away. “How’s the wife?” He asked him.

"She's great, bugging me for a vacation." he chuckled softly as he smiled at him, "She has been an amazing wife and mother, so she does deserve one."

“You should take her. That would be nice. I can deal with a substitute partner for a week. I am sure she would love actually getting time with you.” He said with a smile.

"The trick would be getting the chief to approve time off." he laughed, "I think he's getting flack about Jaxon."

Luke sighed hearing his fiancé was having issues. “Well, you can always ask. I mean you work hard and are good at what you do.” He said.

He chuckled softly, "I can file the paperwork and see where it goes, that is true." he said with a nod.
