Luke looked at him worriedly. He seemed like he was getting distant. “You okay?” He asked quietly so Tess would not hear. She was playing as she walked having a good time. “Ladybugs for Daisy!” She sang happily.

Jaxon blinked and focused on Luke, he gave him a bit of a smile, "Yeah, sorry, just thinking." he said softly as he looked at him, he looked over at Tess as she happily sang to Daisy about the ladybugs. He smiled a little, "At least she's happy and excited." he said softly.

He nodded a little. “Okay as long as you are okay.” He said. Tess was so happy. She stopped when she saw a kid with their parents. She stopped smiling and started walking again. It made her sad. Luke watched her. He passed the leash for Daisy over to his boyfriend and then picked up the little girl. She cuddled with him and wiped the tear off her cheek.

He nodded as he walked with Luke, he took Daisy's leash and walked with them, looking over at them when Tess wiped away her tears, "I am sorry." he said softly as he watched them and smiled softly at them, "We will cuddle with you and take care of you.' he said softly.

Tess cried. “Okay...” She said between tears. Luke rubbed her back. He wished he could help. He knew that this was hard for her. That is what he wanted her with them for. He knew this would be hard for her. He held her. “Maybe we should head home...” he said. Tess shook her head. “N-no...” She said. She liked being out. Luke wasn’t sure what to do.

Jaxon looked at her, "Why don't we go to the edge of the woods and see what kind of bugs we can find?" he asked as he looked at her, "I am sure that Daisy would love to help, maybe we can find her a nice stick." he said with a soft smile.

Tess sniffled and nodded a little. Luke was glad she agreed. He carried her to the edge of the woods. Luke set her down and she started to look for bugs. Luke looked at her and watched her as she searched.

Jaxon knelt down and began to look with her, pointing out beetles and bugs as he and Daisy looked for them, wanting to distract her and change her mind.

Tess looked for bugs with him. She found a round beatle and picked it up to show Jaxon. She watched it craw on her hand. Luke tossed sticks for Daisy when she started to look bored. Daisy ran after them.

Jaxon smiled, "Aww that is so pretty, avery nice little beetle." she said, watching as it crawled on her, "We will have to get a book on beetles."
