haruka watched as murai leapt at the villain that had assaulted him, flicking his tongue over his lips as blood dripped from his nose and down his face. Droplets fell onto the desk but he didn’t look away from the scene in front of him. Murai was succeeding in making a point, if that was what he meant to do, and Haruka doubted he’d have much trouble with Raichi again.
The villain brought a hand to his nose, wincing lightly as he ran a finger down the bridge. Broken, for sure, but luckily it was an easy fix. Not one he’d do to himself, for fear he’d mess it up worse, but it wasn’t something he’d worry about in the long term. As Murai approached him, he looked up, swallowing the blood from where his tooth had pierced his lip. His voice was nasally and thick, and he looked more annoyed than anything.”My nose. Bastard broke it.” He didn’t offer anything more, standing and grabbing his bag. As he stalked from the classroom, he made sure to step on Raichi’s hand with most of his weight, sneering as he cried out. “Coward’s choice, coming at me while I was sleeping. You’d better watch your back, or you’ll be getting a knife between the ribs.”
Before anyone could protest, he hurried out, pain beginning to bother him as the adrenaline rush eased. Haruka was tough, of course he was, but he was still human and it still bothered him. He usually avoided getting seriously injured, even in real fights. He was fast, and his Quirk was one that tended to leave his victims very distracted. Some would say he was a coward, playing dirty and not giving his opponents a fair chance. But it wasn’t easy. Every time he sparred with his classmates, he felt as if he was an inch from losing. One hit in the right place could down him, and he’d be defenseless. His quirk doesn’t hurt anyone physically, it’s all just an illusion. And Murai’s shown how easy it is to get through it, if you know what’s happening.
