"It will help. I feel like I could tell you anything." Abril smiled at him, but wished the dance hadn't ended. "I enjoyed it as well. Thank you, your Highness." She gently kissed his cheek, her lips just barely brushing his skin. She returned to her glass, picking it up and taking a seat.

"Oh no." Elliott looked worried, and her eyes drifted to her feet. How had she gotten hurt? Would she be alright? Should she go check on her?
Solace nodded. "Thank you, Sir. I will make sure to avoid giving her heels to wear."

Pavel smiled happily at the kiss before going in search of his next dancing partner.

Romeo grunted and sipped his drink as he watched the prince. "So how have you two been this last week? Its been a lot for everyone." He said to the two ladies.

Abril watched the prince moved around the room, her thoughts drifting as she sipped her drink, resting.

Elliott glanced up at him, feeling shy. "Fine," she answered, her voice timidly quiet. "I've been fine as well, sir," Solace replied, only because he asked.

Romeo glanced at the two girls and raised an eyebrow. "You know I can go if im bothering you two." He said in response to their stif answers.

Elliott shook her head, looking down.
Solace smiled faintly at him. "You're not bothering me. I'm just a little tired, that's all."

-the next morning-

It was early. So early the sun hadn't even woken up yet but Matteo was reay. He pulled his waggon along down the hallway, the buckets full of animals trapped inside with books over the top rattling behind him. At each door he would select an animal, slip into the room, and deposit the creature into the bed of the selected girl. At last he got to the final room. He had run out of mice and snakes and only had a fat toad left. he lifted it out and slipped into the room and pasthe sleeping maid. Abril was asleep in bed and unaware of her new bedmate. matteo grinned as he carefully placed the toad under the blankets beside her and slipped out of the room. Now to hide before they all woke up. He picked up the handle of his waggon just as the first scream ripped through the air. He giggled and quickly ran off with his waggon, hoping this was enough to scare them all away from his castle and his brother.

The mouse in Elliott's bed sniffed her arm as it slowly crept closer. it carefully crawled up onto her chest and began to nibble on her nightdress, squeaking every so often as it chewed away at her clothes.

Victory was having nightmares all night. SHe could see the girls all laughing at her as she lay helpless on the floor, her feet missing. Slowly the laughter turned to hisses that forced her awake with a shudder but the hissing continued. She heard a scream down the hall but she didn't have time to wonder what was causing it as she looked into the eyes of the snake slithering across her pillow She shrieked and fell out of bed, trying to get as far from the snake as possible without hurting the stitches on the bottom of her foot.

Abril woke up with a shriek of surprise when she felt the large, odd creature under the blankets beside her. She scrabbled to her feet, wrapping her arms around herself quickly. She shuddered, noticing that it was a large, very large toad. Urgh. Gross. She pulled a wrap over her shoulders and made her way into the hall to find someone to remove the toad from her bed.

Elliot giggled a bit as she woke up, feeling something tickling her. She smiled as she saw a little mouse on her, nibbling at her nightgown, its whiskers tickling her skin. She scooped the mouse into her hands and got up, placing it on top of her dresser. She got dressed and tucked the mouse into the front pocket of her wrap, exiting her room.

When Abril entered the hall there were already several girls in the hall all yelling at Romeo who looked like he was about to throw himself out a window in frustration. He pressed a palm to his forehead as he tried to stay calm and spoke to the group at large, hoping a maid or someone rational would obey his order. "Will someone please go to the kitchen and get the prince. Ladies, just please show me the animals and I will get them out." He said but most of the girls just kept complaining, saying they were too traumatized to go back into their room.

Victory limped into the hall, shaking a bit from the shock but curious about the arguing she heard. She giggled a bit as she saw how worked up the others were. "They are just an animal. There are worse things we could have woken up to." She said to no one in particular.

Solace hurried to the kitchen to get the prince right away once Romeo had requested for someone to get him. She didn't enjoy hearing the ladies bickering and complaining.

"Romeo? Could you help me with the toad in my room?" Abril called over to him, approaching him. She wasn't as freaked out as the other girls, finding their reactions quite annoying.

Elliott giggled as she heard Victory, stroking the little mouse's head gently as he sat in her pocket. "True. Mine's pretty cute."

Pavel was oblivious to the chaos upstairs. He stood alone in the kitchen with only one of the lights on since all he needed was the one above the table where he was working. His hair was pulled back into a short ponytail but a few pieces of hair had gotten loose and were hanging around his face. His shirt sleeves were rolled up above his elbows to try to keep them from getting dirty but he still had managed to get frosting on his nose somehow. he concentrated on the flowers he was making out of icing on the cake he had baked, allowing the work to clear his mind. He paused as he heard the faint sound of someone entering and looked over his shoulder. "Miss Solace. Is everything alright?" He looked at the clock to see what time it was and saw it was already 5 am. "This seems a bit early to be getting tea."

Victory looked over at hers and gasped. "Aww. Why did you get a cute one? I woke up to a snake in my bed. I don't mind animals but that was still something I never thought I'd wake up to again." She reached out and gently stroked the mouse. "Best keep him out of my room i think."

Romeo sighed in relief at Abril's calm voice. "Yes, Lady Abril. I will handle that right now." he said and went into her room with the bucket a maid had brought for him.

Jessica stood off to the side of the hall. She was furious about the prank but knew better than to complain the way the others were. Romeo had made it clear that whatever he saw and heard the Prince would hear about so even if they all calmed down when the prince arrived they would still lose points in his eyes. She glared across the hall at Elliott and Victory, furious that they weren't more upset and suspecting them of doing it.
