Solace was relieved when he left. All he was doing was confusing her and frustrating her. She slowly fell asleep after her left.

"Victory." Abril rushed over to her as she noticed her. "Are you hurt? Oh,
my...Are you alright?" She sat down beside her bed, watching her worriedly. She hadn't even noticed her as she had been looking...She felt sick with worry as she saw her wound.

Victory sniffed and wiped her tears away before pulling up her blanket to hide the row of stitches stretching across her stomach. "Im alright. Did you get hurt?" She tried to smile at Abril but she was too heartbroken over how things turned out to summon one. "How is the Prince?"

"No, I'm fine." Abril reached over and gently stroked her hair. "The Prince is alright. Once he's better he's going to become King. The Queen says that forced abdication of the throne doesn't count since he was under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs."

"That's good. Has he told you when he is going to propose yet?" She hid how envious she was of Abril. Her and Elliott were going to get everything they wanted when this was over meanwhile Victory felt like she had less than when she started.

Abril shook her head, blushing faintly. "As far as I know, he doesn't want to get married. I'll let him worry about that. I have planning for the coronation and royal guests to worry about." She tried to tamper down her excitement.

Victory tried to smile for her. "Oh wow. That's exciting So are you going to be the new royal party planner or something?"

"I don't think so. The Queen just wants me to do this while Romeo and Pavel are healing." She ran her fingers lightly through Victory's hair. "I think I may need your help with it. Everyone loves you. I need you to help me figuring out all of this."

Victory shrugged. "I don't think I was ever really cut out for all this royal stuff. The only person I really connected with here was Matteo." She didn't want Abril's pity. "I think I need to rest right now. We can talk about this later if you want."

"Okay. Get better." Abril forced a tiny smile and got up, leaving her to rest. She wandered over to the room Pavel was staying in, wondering if the Queen and Matteo had left or if they were still there.

-few days later-

Pavel sat alone in his office. He was supposed to be packing his things so he could move into the king's office, his father's office, but he didn't feel ready yet. The castle was even more empty now. Of those who survived the attack even fewer decided to remain at the castle. he was supposed to hire more people and have another draft to get more guards but, just like switching offices and rooms, he didn't want to. He had convinced them to let him keep his bedroom for the time being if only because he didn't want to kick his mom out of hers, but the workers were insisting on the office now that the blood stains were out of the carpet. He resumed nursing his drink, focusing on the sting of the alcohol so he didn't have to think about everything he needed to do.

Victory looked out of the window of the car she was in at her new house. it was bigger than she expected, too big. She looked at the driver who was patiently waiting for her to get out and quickly realized she was going to get no sympathy from him. She grabbed her bag and stepped out of the car which drove off as soon as she shut the door. She didn't move from the driveway, looking up at the house sadly. She could almost convince herself that if she didn't go inside she wouldn't have to accept this new life as a three.

Romeo sat on his couch, boredly flipping through tv channels as he tried to keep himself busy. he wanted to be with pavel, helping him with the transition, but the doctors had insisted he stay at home resting and not doing anything for the next week. He sighed boredly and shut off the tv, tossing the remote aside. He wanted to do something but everything was being handled. Sutton had taken on the role of temporary assistant, Abril was going t be handling the coronation, and Pavel didn't want anyone around him so he didn't have the role of best friend he could try to fill.
