"Then the cat monster should go back to where it came from and get its own kids!" Abigail answered as she smacked her tiny hands on the bed.

"He can't." Vaughn replied. "Well, we can't. They wouldn't allow us to adopt and we both know that."

Abigail puffed her cheeks out a bit, possibly confused or just pouting at the moment.

"And we're not adopting you if you're not okay with it, obviously. Because it seems wrong." Vaughn said, continuing to braid her hair. "But you could stay with us for a while, until we find you someplace. See how you like it here."

Abigail promptly looked over her shoulder at vaughn. ""I'm not leaving my cat monster with you! You'll make 'em like some weird giant domestic thing and make 'em fat and stupid." She retorts instantly.

"Hey, no, remember? You're mine, and I took your cat monster, so he's not yours anymore." Vaughn retorted, finishing the braid. "Whether you like it or not."

""yeah bit if i go someplace else then that means i'm not yours anymore so i get my cat monster back." Abigail retorted.

"Hmm. Nope. Still mine." Vaughn replied, patting her head. "That's just what I've decided."

Abigail puffs her cheeks out and shakes her head in adamant denial of this.
