A Glorious Comeback (1x! with *Adashi*)

Rhys listens to them speak, quickly becoming void of emotion as they go on. There were a few problems with that. Most importantly that it was Hyperion asking for information. But something told him this guy wasn't going to take no for an answer, and that a two on one this time wouldn't go well at all. He takes a breath before replying. “Unfortunately, we can't do that either. I understand that both of you have been hired and that you're wishing to go through on the job and be paid your full amount, but the situation with Jack is a peculiar one." He says, choosing his words carefully.

"I would be willing to meet and discuss with your employer themselves and nothing more, but I doubt that would be possible. I know you mentioned Hyperion as your employer." He looks at Fl4k, expression stoic, "I am not sure how much you know about Hyperion, since I'm honestly not sure where either of you are from, but Hyperion has been erased from this system and the surrounding systems for over two years due to the problems Handsome Jack himself caused. I was apart of making sure Hyperion was destroyed, so it is quite obvious I wasn't aware of their regrowing company. That isn't an issue at the moment, however, this situation is."

He takes another breath, placing his hands together at his stomach as he continues on. "The Jack we have in our care is not being treated like a creature at the moment, he is being treated like a human being, who has been given another chance and is slowly adjusting back to regular life. I can assure you, this is nothing against the two of you, it is solely about keeping Jack safe. Handing out any information such as what you've requested can put him at risk. I hope both of you will be willing to accept that."

He lets out a disappointed sigh. "I know plenty about them, since i work for them as an Operative. Look, i'm trying to assure both sides are happy, otherwise i'm going to have to call this in and ask them what to do since you wont comply and truth be told, we both know it'll get really ugly. We're not asking to see him or anything. We're just asking for you to show us how your accomidating him and all." He stated, shifting his stance a bit as he shrugs a bit.

"You're not wrong about how he messed up hyperion, but at the same time, he took it to extraordinary heights and kept it there. Number one company for years after all. So you can understand that the company would want to make sure he's well taken care of here so he doesn't try coming back and taking over ya know? Its not him at risk, its the company wanting to be sure they aren't at risk." He finished off with a shrug of his shoulders.

Rhys stares for a moment or two before shaking his head curtly. “I'm sorry. I can only assure you that at the moment, Jack is not a threat to Hyperion. He has no wishes to return to them otherwise he would have left our facility already. As I told you before, he is being treated like a civilian and not a creature. He has an apartment that he stays in and is regularly checked on. He's adjusting back to regular life and has no wishes to go off planet." He states, spreading his hands. “I will be completely honest. This entire thing feels like a messy misunderstanding. If Hyperion is worried, they can contact Atlas themselves. If they have the funds to hire you two, I'm sure they are able to call us and discuss it with me instead of sending middle men to do their work."

"To be fair, Fl4k wasn't even supposed to tell you hyperion was involved. They didn't want anyone to know they were around." He answered with a small shrug of his shoulders. "But we'll let them know about what you said then and hopefully it'll keep them happy." They concluded with a nod of his head.
What of Crusher? We had released them to allow them to flee. Did they end up flee'ing, perishing, or is the facility caring for them now?" Fl4k questioned as they looked at rhys.

“Crusher is safe and has been re-homed. We assumed you weren't coming back for them." Rhys says, looking at Fl4k. “My apologizes. They were afraid and we could not, in good conscience, let them leave Old Haven injured."

Fl4k is silent for a moment before nodding. "They were to soft for the wild anyways. So it is good that you rehomed them instead of tended to them and released them." They concluded easily before turning and heading for the door easily. Their company giving a wave before following Fl4k out and once at a distances from Atlas, lifted their communication device. "Still unable to acquire the target. We need another way about this." He stated.
"Go with Plan B then Zane, Fl4k. If you can't get to them, then get them to come to you. Go for the vault of the warrior, injure the vault beast there. That should bring the target to you."
Very well." He concluded with a nod of his head, looking at Fl4k with a nod between the two before they headed off.

Rhys watches them go, standing there for a second or two longer to bring up his interface and make sure they were actually leaving Old Haven. He takes out his echo once he's happy with their distance away to call Zero, getting a bad feeling about the conversation that just took place. Their story was changing and he didn't like it.

Zero looks at his echo, then at Fiona and makes a vague gesture. "We're right here." He mumbled, since Fiona was in for 24 hours to ensure her stabbed at side was properly healed and he was here with sasha as well to keep fiona entertained. He makes a small, annoyed gesture before standing, the words BRB popping up on his faceplate. "go find out what the whiny baby wants." He mumbled before he moves to step out, head to the reception desk to ask where rhys is, only to be a bit amused running into him on the way.

Rhys huffs when his call is blatantly ignored, proceeding to blow up Zero's echo with questions on why he wasn't answering, until Zero casually shows up at the front desk. Oh. Right. “I forgot Fiona asked you to come over... That felt like a while ago." He mumbles, rubbing the back of his neck as he goes over. “Fl4k came by with some operative Hyperion hired. They changed their story on why they want Jack, and then left without a fight. It's giving me a bad feeling."

Zero makes a noise, tilting his head a bit as he crosses his arms at his chest. "That is odd." He mumbled, nodding his head a little in agreement to rhys words and concern at the moment. That was definitely something strange. But it could be possible that fl4k may of misunderstood something originally that the operative didn't.
