thunderstrike barreled after possumpaw, her paws briefly kissing the forest floor. "last one is a rotten rat!" the warrior shouted, shoulder to shoulder with her apprentice. praise shone in her eyes briefly before she darted out of the way of an on coming tree. "be careful possumpaw!"

whitedusk eventually removed his nose from the crystal. he stared blankly at rosepaw. he recited the prophecy to her ear, so redpaw did not overhear.

leopardpaw regarded her mentor venombite with her ears flicked back and teeth bared at the offensive comment. before she could retailate, she molly turned away. rising to her paws, the scarred apprentice faced the exterior of the den with hesitation. "no help to you anyways," she said after venombite's shadow, stealing one more glance at the kits before bounding after the warrior. "i was happy in there, not that you care." the copper bodied apprentice muttered, shoulders stiff.

the molly stood frozen, as if her paws were glued to the ground. she turned her head to redpaw before looking back at whitedusk. she didn't doubt her mentor. not one bit. she lowered her head and stalked over to redpaw. "i'll catch up with you later," she whispered.

"you still act like a kit, i can easily hold back your training, and remember i've been here longer than floatstar himself," she meowed, staring the apprentice dead in the eye. "but i promise you can go and catch some prey, then return soon after, follow me, now." the tortoiseshell turned away, and padded out of camp

the apprentice leaped up onto the tree and pounced so she landed next to thunderstrike, before tripping over and looking up as a shadow loomed over her. instantly possumpaw hissed and the cat jumped back, distressed. the apprentice studied her stomach, before padding over to thunderstrike. "an expecting stray," she hissed.

the leader woke up and lazily padded to the apprentice, sitting down in front of him and flicking his ears. "i have something to talk to you about," he meowed, almost purring.

thundestrike was impressed by possumpaw's swift action and detection. "good job possumpaw, does it appear that she poses a threat?" she asked, tail flickering above the surrounding ferns. from where the molly stood, she could barley make out the figure that caused possumpaw's irritants.

𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐒𝐊 : rosepaw
the tom recognized the shaky appearance that gripped rosepaw. this was her first prophecy and together, they would reveal it's meaning. wounding his tail around her flank, the medicine cat urged his apprentice closer. "we will need to work diligently rosepaw to discover the meaning behind it." he told her, looking her square in the eye. for any cat it was unsettling to peer straight at whitedusk, the difference in eye color was unusual and therefore a distraction. "take some deep breaths, you look shaken." he advised, placing his tail on her shoulder.

𝐋𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐏𝐀𝐖 : venombite
leopardpaw glared after venombite, distain staining her tongue. everything about her mentor made her fur bristle and their mentorship was not easy. it was full of rocky moments and nearly everytime they argued, somecat was breaking the pair up. stalking away into the forest, after venombite, leopardpaw located a baby rabbit. insteade of killing it, she admired it. the way it sniffed at the air curiously reminded her of jaykit and spiritkit. turning away, leopardpaw snatched a beetle off the ground. "now what?" she snapped, her tail lashing out.

having been summoned by the leader, lightningpaw rose to his feet. he padded over to the tom swiftly and sat before him. "yes floatstar?" he asked, confusion laced in his inquiry. standing before strikeclan's leader, lightningpaw hoped to be treated as an individual, separate from his brother redpaw. he did not foster the same hatred to the tom.

"she's expecting, and jumped back pretty quick," the molly flicked her tail, looking from her mentor and onto the loner. "this stray won't be able to hurt any of us, thunderstrike."

the molly panted, tail bristling as her body swayed, feeling her mentor's tail dig into her sides. she stared up at her mentor. "is this what all my training has come to, whitedusk? to solve a prophecy from a shard of crystal?" her voice was tiny, as if she were again a kit, as she pressed against his side.

"first," venombite snarled, "stop disrespecting your mentor. i'm teaching you all i know so you can be a good warrior and mentor, learn how to be respectful, leopardpaw!" the molly hissed, turning her head and sitting down as she lifted her head. "maybe becoming a warrior early is an option for you, if you can catch three pieces of prey by yourself."

"i am,,, passing redpaw on," he began, curling his long tail around lightningpaw, "so that leaves me an open spot for an apprentice. that apprentice, will be you."

"alright then possumpaw, what do you propose we do?" she asked, gaze flicking up to the mysterious loner. "Hello?!" she called up, curious if the cat could talk

"each cat's destiny manifests itself in a different manner rosepaw...this might be your destiny." whitedusk felt his apprentice trembling against him and he offered words of comfort while his tails swept across her back. "you have me rosepaw, we will determine the fate of the clan together. this is not your burden alone."

𝐋𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐏𝐀𝐖 : venombite
leopardpaw's ears pressed against her head and she hissed defiantly at her mentor. "maybe i don't want to be a warrior." she seethed aggressively, feeling anger and spite boil to the surface. "no apprentice could ever be a warrior with your mentorship!" she added, tail lashing behind her. "you're rude and arrogant."

"m-me?" the tom stuttered, surprised by the news. not too surprised actually. "why me?" lightningpaw asked, gazing up at his leader, feeling significant to have been chosen to be mentored.

"h-hi," she began, really nervous. "a-are you a clan cat? can i come with you? please, i'm really close to expecting and these cats keep attacking me and i don't feel safe for my kits."

rosepaw felt comfortable as his word's danced around her ears. she closed her eyes and gave a heavy inhale, looking up at whitedusk. "i heard that medicine cats usually wait before decoding a prophecy, so it makes more sense," she began quietly, looking at whitedusk for confirmation.

the molly unsheathed her claws and jumped at the molly, pinning her down as she breathed heavily. "i have trained an apprentice already, she was just like you, selfish, loud, annoying. i don't know how, and nor do i understand why, but she shut up very quickly. loudbreeze is the quiet cat, and you'll come soon after, weather that be because of me or yourself," she snapped angrily. "now go hunt like i told you to."

"i feel like you'd be way better to teach, and plus, i'm quite sure redpaw would rather a mentor he doesn't have the intentions to kill constantly. maybe pantherstrike can take over, but if you accept, i'll be training with you from tomorrow."

thunderstrike sniffed the air. the molly was telling the truth. "alright," she agreed, "but we must hurry," she said, glancing around to make sure she wasn't placing her apprentice in danger by helping an expecting molly. prodding forward through the dense emerald growth, thunderstrike narrowed her gaze up in the tree. true to her word, possumpaw was right, there was indeed a loner. she was massive. "well let's get you down from there!" she said, adopting a friendlier tone of voice.

𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐒𝐊 : rosepaw + creekwhistle
"medicine cat's do. why don't you go outside for a while and come back when you're ready?" the medicine cat offered, looking down at his apprentice with a reasonable gaze. "you need to clear your head..." turning away from his apprentice, white dusk took the opportunity to move the blue shard away from visible eyes. "come back after you've had a meal and digested it." the called over his shoulder, already crouching down to press the stone into a pocket in the cave wall. secured, he exited the den, going to the kill pile before joining the queen's in their den. "how are the kittens doing?" he asked the queen.

leopardpaw felt the curve of venombite's claws fall into place against the scars that hacked her face. the sensation was burning and the young molly screeched out in pain, tail lashing out and paws scrabbling against the forest floor. "get off of me you deranged kittypet!" once released, leopard leaped away from venombite, tending to the intense scars across her face.

lightningpaw thought long and hard about what he was just told. being mentored by a leader would ensure him that he got the best education as an apprentice. he nodded his head. "i accept your offer floatstar. i anxiously await tomorrow's arrival."

"thank you, oh thank you!" the molly purred, "but i can get down myself." the molly placed two paws in front of her, and gracefully pounced down from branch to branch, until her paws hit the ground hard in front of the strangely patterned apprentice and the sunset molly. "my name is tilly," she meowed quietly, "a cat from ages away."

at this, possumpaw bristled and hissed at the loner.

creekwhistle//whitedusk + kits

the russian blue cat looked up tiredly at the medicine cat tom, before breaking into a purr. "jaykit and spiritkit are great, whitedusk. but i'm worried about spiritkit..." her voice dropped as she stared at her pure white son who lay on the ground, panting as jaykit squeaked with triumph. "he's a sick kit and he's not growing like his brother, and i'm worried about what to tell nightlock."

"go!" the molly hissed, "or i'll drag you out to dead sea!" the tortoiseshell cat bristled. even if she was small she was certainly dangerous to most cats."

the leader gave a purr of approval, touching his chin to the apprentice's head. "i comfortably await tomorrow, then."

loudbreeze/leopardpaw + venombite

the silver tabby molly slid through the bushes, hearing her previous mentor nearby. she let out a disgusted spit before getting to all four paws, padding out and into the clearing of the forest where the two stood. "shut up, venombite," she groaned, looking at leopardpaw with a kind of disgusted but sorry look, "i'll train her today."

the molly stepped forward, peering at the loner. "tilly." she said, echoing the name. "this way." flicking her tail to the dense growth behind her. inspecting the molly's round stomach, thunderstrike narrowed her gaze. "how long have you been due?," glancing at her apprentice, thunderstrike shot her a look.

𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐒𝐊 : rosepaw + creekwhistle
whitedusk lowered his nose to the sick kitten. an odd oder clung to his fur. he said nothing but interpreted the foul stench to negate the prospect of health. "we will continue to keep a close eye on him." he assured the queen, sympathizing with her. he placed his long tail on her shoulder, offering support through the ordeal.

𝐋𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐏𝐀𝐖 : venombite + loudbreeze
"oh forget about it!" the pretty but scarred apprentice spat, lips curling back to show off her sharp teeth. "who needs a flea-bitten mentor anyways!" stalking off away from both venombite and loudbreeze, leopardpaw sought out a section of the camp where she would find herself alone. [ if we introduce another loner, leopardpaw can befriend it.]

the young tom nodded his head, setting off towards the apprentice den where he was ready to tell any other cat's with open ears of the news.

tilly frowned at possumpaw before looking at thunderstrike quietly. "two moons, i'm very close," she said cheerfully, flicking her tail as she waddled behind them. "oh, i'm so proud. if only the father didn't die during the ambush."

the blue molly shook the tail away, staring at spiritkit as she looked up at whitedusk. "the thing that hurts me more is that leopardpaw has gotten into the hang of giving them attention, and spiritkit loves her to bits..." the molly trailed off, letting out a small wail of frustration. "why did i name him spiritkit, why would i bother doing this to my own son."

the tortoiseshell molly stared daggers at loudbreeze, ears flicking as she padded away. "ah well, we're just going to fix her into it."

the beige brown molly padded up to the apprentice, purring at his weird smile. "oh, lightningpaw, good day!" she meowed happily, taking a spot next to him and dropping a bird at her paws. "why are you so happy, hm?"
