𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐏𝐀𝐖 the young apprentice's growl grew in his throat. his heart raced as his paws pounded against the earth, blood fueling his ambush upon his worthy target. "i'll kill you!" he jowled threateningly across the clearing, his small yet impressive frame dashing across the camp, a near red blur to any cats witnessing his attack. without hesitation, a fox-length away from floatstar, the young tom's gaze captured the dying light of the setting sun, his deep setted emerald eyes reflecting the madness behind his demeanor. claws unsheathed, the brightly crimson furred apprentice barreled into his leader and mentor floatstar.

the tom's fur bristled as he hissed at the apprentice, blue eyes in slits as his light calico fur dragged across the flooring. he stared dead at redpaw, before falling beneath him, he let out an angry purr. "and why would you even try to kill a cat with five lives?" he lifted his muzzle as he rasped his words, kicking at the apprentice and rolling over so he himself was on top of the younger cat. "as an apprentice, and my apprentice, i expect you to tell me why you would even try to kill me."

𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐏𝐀𝐖 being foiled by his mentor's reflexes and veteran experience, redpaw found himself pinned to the ground, his muzzle pressed against the clearing. "get off of me!" he growled violently, his claws scathing across the ground, incapable of reaching and inflicting harm upon floatstar. "you don't deserve your lives!" redpaw rasped, nearly sounding possessed by a malice spirit from the dark forest, "i'll take every single life from you and it will be my eyes that you see before you enter starlclan." he spit, growling and hissing, finally resorting to biting floatpaw's unprotected paw.

𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐊𝐄 returning to strikeclan having lead a small hunting party, possessing a quail, two squirrels and one rabbit, two warriors flanking behind her. the brightly copper furred molly proceeded to the center, depositing the kills before she raised her turquoise gaze, only to bear witness to an unprovoked attack by redpaw upon her crush floatstar. instinctively, the molly crouched down on all fours, convinced that she could clear the distance within three short bounds if the spiteful apprentice managed to harm her leader too badly. from her throat, a low growl became audible.

floatstar's ears flattened as he could hear the no stars in the apprentice's voice, and he let out a yowl in anger as the tom bit his paw, that soon landed hard on the apprentice's stomach as he hissed through closed teeth and fang. "how dare you?" he began, unsheathing his claws, but not pressing any harder on the apprentice's stomach, code filling his head. "i repeat, how dare you?" his breathing pattern became harsh as he panted, tail spiking up as he yowled all his words into redpaw's ear. then, closing his eyes and taking a deep inhale he sheathed his claws and got off the apprentice, turning and stalking away in annoyance.

the molly apprentice stood behind her mentor, hissing in disbelief. "he's gone mad," she meowed deeply to thunderstrike, not taking her eyes off of the tom that lay on the clearing floor. "mad, starclan says."

despite the anger and malice coursing through the tom's body and brain, he still flinched at floatstar's yelling in his ear. he also gasped and clawed at the leader's chest for the air that he was being depraved of, for floatstar was pressing his paw against his chest. angered, he twisted away from the tom's grasp and hissed at him before fleeing into the medicine den.

𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐊𝐄 : possumpaw + floatstar
thunderstrike's apprentice possumpaw had a good form. "mad indeed." she nodded, now shaking her head at the unpleasant scene which had befallen strikeclan. "go ahead and eat possumpaw, we'll resume training tonight." the molly said, pressing her nose against her apprentices before she dashed off after floatstar, concern laced in her gaze.

𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐒𝐊 : rosepaw + redpaw
the pale white tom shifted through his herbs, detecing which ones were fresh and which needed to be removed from the supply. despite devoting his focus towards sorting the medical supplies, he didn't query redpaw who had dashed in without a word, assuming a placement beside rosepaw. silently, the tom addressed the elephant in the room.

𝐋𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐏𝐀𝐖 : alone but open
tucked herself away, high up in the twisted branches of an overgrown oak tree. despite strikeclan settling in an area densly populated by overgrown ferns, large redwood oaks and a rich mossy landscape, the once beautiful copper bodied, dark spotted and streaked apprentice hid her face from the world. alone, she would find solace for the events which claimed her beauty.

the apprentice flicked her thick tail that did not match the rest of her thin pelt before nodding, meowing a goodbye to both floatstar and thunderstrike before pouncing away.

the leader stopped, chest heaving as the scratches the wild tom gave him sunk in. he turned his head and stared at thunderstrike in her eyes, seeing her concern, before lowering his head. "this has happened three times this moon," he rasped, licking his wounds, "i've had enough of him trying to kill me for no reason at all. i'm worried, especially with no deputy..."

she turned her head and stared at the tom that had lowered himself beside her, fur painted in splatters of floatstar's blood. she lowered her head and let out a sigh, white pelt mixed with ginger pressing against his for only a second to dry up a wound. she grabbed some cobwebs and weaved it onto his wounds. "i saw you," she meowed, eyes secretly watching whitedusk, "you shouldn't try and kill our leader," she meowed sadly, "he's nice, and he's kind... and he's my uncle," rosepaw said the last bit quietly.

the molly dragged herself out of the den, panic filling her eyes as her two kits stood behind her trembling legs. she looked over at floatstar, scanning his pelt, before looking around, seeing a faint silhouette on the floor. she looked up, eyes deep with concern. "leopardpaw? are you up there again? if so, please come down, i need you to quickly look after my kits."

redpaw's fury seemed to dishearten as rosepaw cared for his wounds. the blood of floatstar remained on his fur, untouched. he peered down at the droplets, admiration shone in his emerald gaze. "i'm never going to stop." he said, his voice above a whisper to accomodate for being overheard by whitedusk, "kin or not...floatstar's got lives he doesn't deserve." redpaw said with finality, twisting his face so he was nearly pressed against the small medicine apprentice's face, "i'm going to make history."

𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐊𝐄 : floatstar
thunderstrike sympathized with her leader, noticing the fatigue in his voice and the tired tone. "he's an unreasonable apprentice floatstar, but that's not your doing. he's got a serious problem. you've put up with him long enough...maybe it's time to reconsider his apprenticeship." she suggested, hoping the propsect of reassignment would result in less harm to her leader. "it's been ten moons since skybird's death." thunderstrike added with a solem voice, filled with regret for the past, one she was incapable of touching.

𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐒𝐊 : rosepaw + redpaw
the tom continued taking inventory of the supplies. at the rate to which redpaw was injuring the clan, their cobwebs would be under threat.

𝐋𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐏𝐀𝐖 : creekwhistle
leopardpaw's realm of silence was rupted by the faint voice of creekwhistle below. "sure." the molly said, climbing down with care and diligence. padding over to the kittens, she gathered them with her tail, reassuring them with soft words that their mother would return.

"i appreciate it, leopardpaw," the molly meowed before pouncing over to the conversation she had heard from floatstar and thunderstrike. she was struck by the sadness in floatstar's eyes as thunderstrike reminded him of skybird's death. "it has, it's been so long, we can't confirm they're coming back. and jaykit and spiritkit keep watching these fights, floatstar," her voice became distressed instantly, "you have to fix this."

"starclan hasn't yet sent me a sign," his voice became soft as he stared at the two mollies. "i've broken the code, going this long, but i know they're still out there. skybird would've sent me a message otherwise, and that's what i believe." he stared sympathetically at creekwhistle, who still trembled, then turned his head to thunderstrike. "but, if i were to announce a new deputy, you would be my pick, thunderstrike. would you accept that?"

rosepaw stared at him sadly, softness still sticking to her tone as she almost choked on her tongue, dragging her paws away from the cobweb. "you are very, very wrong to do this." she said absently as she turned around and sneaking some coltsfoot from whitedusk before placing them in front of redpaw. "you're bringing me dread, knowing he's going to die at the paws of you, redpaw..." she trailed off before beginning to snap at him but not about the same topic. "chew the leaves them spit them out, make sure you swallow the juice."

redpaw scoffed at rosepaw's commentary, disregarding the small apprentice and her morals. following instruction without issue, the tom's lips curled back over his teeth, disliking the taste of the medicine. "don't worry for long...i'm certain something will happen eventually, even if i do give up." he sighed, looking into her eyes now.

𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐊𝐄 : floatstar + creekwhistle
thunderstrike's gaze saddened at the mother's plead. "the violence...yes, it must stop." at floatstar's resolve, the molly stood taken aback, her gaze widening. "r-really?" she stammered, uncertain if she heard floatstar correctely. "of course i would, for the good of the clan, i most certainly would floatstar." having accepted the offer, she turned to creekwhistle. "i hope we can end this cycle of violence. i want your kits to know peace."

leopardpaw remained responsible for creekwhistle's kittens but she was still curious as to the molly's behavior. never had she seen her speak up in such manners. straining her hearing, with ears pricked forward, she loosely caught onto the conversation. she frowned softly at creekwhistle's plead to their leader. without skybird, starclan would punish strikeclan for breaking the code and not reassigning a new deputy in time. "i don't know how safe strikeclan is anymore." she said to herself and the kits.
