French Fantasy 1x1 Anna and Echo

"The one i sent your father regarding Lucien's condition and tendency to try to seduce royalty. I assume its still laying around somewhere." He looked up at Callias and held out tge gun. "Do you shoot?"

"My father received it. I discarded it." He couldn't see why it was relevant. "Occasionally," he replied, and he took the musket from him. He checked it over, examining it as he held it. It was a fine gun. He much preferred swords to guns, however, and didn't tend to practice using these weapons much. Not that he would tell him that.

Edward grunted and looked out at the target. "It seems that Lucien has matured and finally learned to keep to himself. I feel its only right to inform you that the queen will be lifting his exile and we will be having him brought back to work here. Hopefully he hasn't been causing you too much trouble but at least now you will be rid of him."

Callias frowned, aiming the musket at the target. "He has a position as my head advisor. He is greatly useful to us. I would appreciate if he could stay with us longer, if not indefinitely."

"Hed need to be made a french citizen if you intend to keep ahold of him and he wont risk losing his family here," he glanced at callias with a sly smirk "even if he is being offered a crown."

"Then we'll make him a French citizen." He didn't react to his smirk or what he said. "I don't intend on loosing him. He has proven through his assistance that he is capable of taking care of things while I am absent. He is quite an intelligent person."

"Yes, but apparently you think of him as more than just your adviser given what happened on the bridge yesterday and the noises heard coming from your room last night." He took the gun back after callias fired and reloaded. "Here is the thing, whatever he has been saying to you he said to me first. Lucien is a power hungry snake. Ill give you a word of advice, focus on someone else because with a snap of my fingers he would leave you and come back to me because at the end of the day i can have his family punished or even killed. Lucien belongs to me, im just letting you borrow him until im tired of my wife and want him back."

Callias narrowed his eyes at him. "Surely you wouldn't be so petty to have an innocent family killed over one man. You didn't want him. He's mine now. Why cause trouble over it? If no one had intervened, he would be dead right now because of your letter. You don't want him. You want him gone. Now that he's in France you won't have to deal with him anymore. Isn't that what you want?"

"Im not the one who sent him away. It isnt my fault him and i were caught." He took aim at the target and fired. "What do you even need him for? You have an heir. Why not play with whoever it came out if?"

"But you did send him the letter and that almost got him killed." He folded his arms, studying him. "I'm not using him, like you would. I love him, and he's with me. I don't use people to my advantage."
