Lucien didnt move from clinging to the door, fearing that if he released it there would be nothing left to hold him up. Slowly he forced his head to nod and breathed out, "Ok..." with his eyes still shut to hold in his heartache.

Relieved flooded him when he heard that one word. He gently wrapped his arms around him, pulling him close. "I won't let you down," he promised him, breathing in his familiar scent.

Lucien turned in towards him and hugged him tightly, his forehead resting on his shoulder as he released a shaky breath. "I don't want to lose you again." He mumbled into his shirt as a shudder ran trough his weary body.

Callias gently picked him up, letting his legs wrap around his waist and arms around his neck. He brought him into her designated room, gently setting him down on the bed. "You won't loose me," he promised him, holding him tight. "I'm yours for as long as you want me."

Lucien allowed him to take him to his room, clinging to him even as he placed down. He didn't believe his words, too familiar with Callias' promises that all he could do was brace him for another betrayal when they returned home. He pressed his lips to Callias' hoping to silence his words so he could try to enjoy the shred of love being shown to him and to try to keep himself from wondering how often he had said these exact words to Delphine and Nadia.

Callias gently pulled him down beside him as he lied down. He tucked the blankets around them, and held him close, gently kissing him back. He ran his fingers through Lucien's hair, letting himself relax and letting his heartache melt away with each precious kiss.

-next morning-
Lucien woke up in bed beside Callias nd looked across the pillows at his sleeping form, trying to memorize his features as they were fixed in a peaceful expression. Eventually he forced himself to sit up and looked around wearily, trying to tell himself that the events of the previous night weren't a mistake. He saw the ring Callias had tried to give him on the bedside table and carefully picked it up to examine it. Did he really mean his promises this time? He released a shaky breath and sat the ring back down. He looked forward to getting home so he could find someone to talk to about this but was unsure of who would be the right person to go to.

Callias stretched out happily, a smile on his face as he woke up. "Lucien?" He opened his eyes, reaching over and wrapping his arms around him, pulling him closer. "Good morning," he murmured, covering his face in kisses.

Lucien allowed a faint smile to cross his face as he laid back down beside him. He pulled his mouth to his own, kissing him deeply before looking him in the eyes. "How long do i get to keep you?"
