Lionheart was paying more attention to Softwing herself than the words she spoke. He did register what she said a moment later, realizing that her plan mostly revolved around betting that the apprentice would trespass again, but he was distracted by...Well just everything about her. He also noticed how much she seemed to be enjoying her meal. "Is rabbit your favorite prey?" He asked a question that probably seemed rather out-of-the blue but he just wanted to know everything about her.

''Oh yes! I love it!'' she took another bite and swallowed. Was his gaze on her perhaps a little, too intense? A wave of uneasiness and maybe something else chilled her spine, yet she acted as though nothing was wrong. ''Whats your favorite prey?'' she asked politely. Although her plan to catch that apprentice was a little far-fetched and up in the clouds, it seemed some-what fool-proof. She rested her tail on his shoulder, and spoke slowly, ''Will you promise to help me...carry out this plan?'' she wanted a least one clanmate to confine in her ideas and agree with her.

"Uh, maybe rabbit too? I never really thought about it much." Lionheart admitted with a slightly sheepish look. He realized Softwing seemed more interested in continuing to talk about their plan than participating in idle chit-chat. And why wouldn't she? He thought. "Of course I'll help." He said with a nod. Honestly he would have tried to help her even if she told him not to at this point. His loyalty towards this mission was unquestionable.

Thank you! I am speechless for you loyalty!'' she mrrowed. She didn't even really have any friends after her sister Rosepaw died, but now she had one person to listen to her. After the rabbit was little more than bones, she excused herself and went to bury it. She brought it outside the camp and dug a small, deep hole. After placing the bones in and entering camp again, she had a feeling that her ingenious plan had a simple flaw, but she couldn't put her claw on it. She rushed under the ferns again to Lionheart's side and she gave a meow of thanks again for participating in her plan. Although it might disrupt clan balance, It'll show Greystarhe must take action.

Lionheart sat up to wait for Softwing's return. Once he spotted her he stood, looking at her with a small smile on his face. "Should we go now?" He asked. If they tried her plan right now they risked the apprentice not choosing to come back for more prey on their territory so soon but if they waited they risked the apprentice telling his leader about their little scuffle which could bring about a war between the clans. If it were up to him he would choose to just try right now but it was Softwing's plan and so he was going to do as she said.

Softwing looked thoughtful for a moment, and closed her eyes to think. ''I doubt he'd come back so soon, but maybe so he could collect that mouse.'' She looked around carefully and exited the camp, hoping Lionheart was behind her. She walked quickly, barely having time to smell the air and check her surroundings. She just wanted to find this apprentice and get him to tell them if Swiftclan really was planning to overtake them. Cautionly entering the bush the apprentice had hidden in, she noticed the sweet tang of mouse-blood still hanging in the air.

Lionheart wasn't far behind the other warrior as he followed her out of camp and to the location of the bush where the SwiftClan apprentice had been hiding. "We're lucky nobody else seems to have come across here yet." He murmured. Had another StormClan cat noticed how strong the SwiftClan scent was on this side of the border they might have acted without thinking and attacked a SwiftClan patrol or something. "One of our own clan mates could have started a war." He added, just thinking out loud, "It's a good thing we were the ones here to take care of all this." Lionheart was confident that this plan would succeed.

Softwing scooted over to allow Lionheart into the bush. ''I know. But if somebody found out, we'd be in big trouble. B-but at the same time, we're helping more than hurting, right?'' She was know slightly nervous. What if the apprentice escaped their grasp? Or what if he managed to tell their leader? A small stone of doubt fell into her stomach, making her anxious to finish their plan. ''I hope the apprentice comes along to collect that mouse, than when he comes by, we grab him! He'll have no choice but to tell us what Swiftclan is planning.''

"Of course we are helping." Lionheart meowed in a confident sounding tone, "If we are caught, and Graystar can't see that we were trying to protect the clan, it's his fault. Not ours." He glanced around quickly just to make sure that he couldn't see any signs of anyone else possibly approaching them. He moved in to take a place beside Softwing once he was sure that they hadn't been followed. He had no choice but to press close to the she-cat so that both full grown warriors could stay completely inside the bush.

Time passed slowly and Lionheart's legs were beginning to ache due to the crouched position he was holding in order to stay both hidden and ready to pounce at the same time. The midday heat of greenleaf wasn't making it any easier on them. It couldn't have been much more than half an hour, an hour at most, that they had been waiting for but it felt much longer to him. One positive to this situation that he found at the moment was being able to spend this time here beside Softwing.

Fresh SwiftClan scent drifting their way caused the cream coated warrior to perk up a bit. The apprentice they had been waiting for stepped into view only a moment later. Oh now he is trying to be smart. Lionheart thought with annoyance as he watched the apprentice cautiously looking around for any StormClan cats. It didn't take long for the young cat to slowly began to approach the bush in search of his prey from earlier. Lionheart's muscles were tensed but forced himself to wait. This was their only chance and he couldn't mess it up by acting too rashly if the apprentice wasn't close enough to grab yet.

Softwing's legs began to hurt after lying on them for so long. Stretching them out and carefully trying not to make any noise, she sniffed the air. ''Nothing.'' The minutes passed by, and the heat warmed her fur, making her drowsy. She leaned her head against Lionheart's shoulder but after a few seconds quickly lifted her head again. She felt her ears grow hot and nervously licked her chest. As more time passed, she sniffed the air again. ''Swiftclan!'' she whispered. The apprentice crept into view and was looking for the mouse. She quietly stood up, making sure the dead-leaves underfoot wouldn't crunch. Watching carefully as the apprentice grew closer, she bunched her legs together and nodded to Lionheart to get ready to pouch. ''1...2...3!'' she mouthed, than slid out of the bush like a snake. Gracefully landing beside the bushes he entered, she growled meekly, being quiet to avoid grabbing attention. Nodding to Lionheart, she encircled him, keeping watch on his eyes to see if he tried to dart away.
