Lionheart gave a simple nod in agreement to her first statement. "A big rabbit could feed all the elders at once." He noted while flexing his claws into the soft dirt below them. His mind was set to get a rabbit now that she mentioned it. "We should go towards the moors at the SwiftClan border. We'll have better luck there." StormClan's dense forest wasn't home to nearly as many rabbits as their neighboring clan was due to the territory difference.

''I agree. Lets hurry, we're wasting daylight!'' Bounding away into the underbrush, she pricked her ears forward, hoping to catch the sound of a rabbit's feet trumping the ground.

Lionheart hurried after her until he was keeping pace and moving at her side. They hadn't quite made it to their destination when a sudden rustle of leaves caused his head to snap towards the direction of the sound. He stopped, ears angled forward and nose twitching slightly as he smelled the air trying to determine if it was prey, a clan mate nearby, merely the wind, or something else entirely.

Softwing kept strutting ahead, but stopped when she noticed Lionheart had paused with his ears pointed. She silently halted beside him and watched the bushes carefully, trying to determine what could of caused her clan-mate to pause so suddenly. Without waiting for him to say anything, she stalked closer towards the bush, hoping to catch whatever was in it by surprise. ''I really, really hope its prey.'' she thought.

Mouse scent soon began to drift his way. It isn't rabbit but prey is prey I guess. He thought, but soon the smell of blood hit him as well. "No, Softwing wait!" He yelled just as a hiss came from within the bush. A cat sprang out towards the white she-cat in an attempted attack. He was obviously fairly young, no older then 7 or 8 moons perhaps, and smelled strongly of the nearby SwiftClan. Clearly one of their apprentices who had been hunting on StormClan territory.

Softwing hissed and flung the tom off her. ''Who do you think you are!? Taking on 2 warriors twice your size!'' she said bitterly. Reaching her paw out with her claws unsheathed, she hopped closer to the tom in hopes of scaring him. She fluffed her short fur on end and backed away to Lionheart's side. ''What should we do?'' she mewed quietly, her eyes blazing. ''A trespasser on our territory? Hunting? In Greenleaf?'' she hissed again.

The young cat flinched back slightly during Softwing's intimidation technique but still refused to back down. "This territory will be SwiftClan's soon anyways! I was just taking what is going to be ours." He declared. He certainly seemed shaken, obviously not expecting to have ran into anyone at all, but he also showed a bullheaded bravery about standing his ground.

Lionheart did not want to fight someone who he knew he could so easily defeat but it was growing increasingly obvious that he was going to just leave by being asked nicely. He lunged forward to lash a paw out. Claws sunk into the smaller cat's cheek but in less than a heartbeat it was over and Lionheart had pulled back again. A small trickle of blood ran down the side of the SwiftClan apprentice's face. For a moment, both toms seemed frozen with shock until the apprentice suddenly turned tail and raced back towards the safety of his own clan's territory.

''Coward! Challenging 2 warriors than running off!'' she yowled behind him. She run forward a few tail-lengths to insure his fear, than turned back to Lionheart. ''You saved my pelt there! I can't thank you enough.'' she mewed gratefully. Bending down to awkwardly lick her shoulder where the apprentice had leapt on her, she muttered something under her breathe, but It was most likely not important. ''Do you still wanna hunt a little?'' Grabbing the mouse the apprentice had caught and burrowing it, she started off again to see what else their was to be caught.

"Ah, you could have taken him if I wasn't here." Lionheart said but the grin on his face showed he was delighted to hear her praise. It was always nice to feel appreciated after all. He eyed her shoulder for a moment. "Are you sure we don't need to go back so you can get that looked at?" He asked. His concern was the possibility of it becoming infected if she had received a scratch.

She whisked her tail over the wound. ''He could of turned me into mince-meat!'' she joked. ''And I'm fine. We can hunt a little bit, than go back, kay?'' she nudged his cheek with hers than once again bounded off into the bushes to search for a meal. She managed to hunt a mouse and a thrush, but which was done by dumb luck, as they had both been startled and ran into her claws. ''Not the most impressive, but prey is food, so I'm not complaining.'' Licking her shoulder again, she sat beside Lionheart to disuse the prey he had caught.
