1v1 with Boomer

Jon, Angel and Maleah crawled into the car. Angle was looking out the windows and opening the mini-bar. The car-ride was long and tedious. Going over bumps made Angel's stomach fall. She pulled out her credit-card and examined the numbers.

Alessa didn't say a word the entire time. She felt so uncomfortable with the entire thing. She shut her eyes after a while as she held tightly onto Scarlett for comfort.

Angel felt sick after eating 2 cookies and a soda. She held tightly into the handle bar attached to the door, hoping the car would stop soon. But after a while, the feeling of sick left her, making her bored, staring out the window. ''Are we almost there?'' she asked, keeping her seat-belt safely fastened.
Jon was calmly talking to Maleah, and when Angel asked he knocked on the drivers window, and Bert opened it. ''20 MINUTES!'' He barked, then closed the window.

Alessa ended up falling asleep, slightly whimpering as she was having a nightmare. The girl mumbled a little and was startled awake by Bert's sharp bark. The girl put up a protective orb around herself and Scarlett, not realizing what was going on.

Jon's eyes widened and his grin was indescribable. ''Oh ho, how interesting!'' He laughed, standing up and inspecting the orb carefully. ''How interesting indeed.'' He stepped closer and looked into Alessa's eyes. ''I was right all along! You do have powers!'' He smiled and sat back down. ''Do you have any powers, Angel?''
She was surprised and felt dreadful as Alessa brought up the shield. ''Um...'' she looked around feverishly, ''Yes...'' She tried not to look into her father's power-hungry eyes.

[Boomer]

Alessa kept the orb up, mostly because Jon put her on edge. "M-Mother t-told me y-you have telekinesis..." she whispered, "I-is that true?" Her mother had always told Alessa that she had gotten her powers from her father. Her mother was a shifter and she had wanted Alessa to be a shifter as well.

He grimaced and sat down again. ''Your clever Alessa. It'll be a shame if that went to waste.'' He picked up a glass and made it float out of his hand and do cart-wheels till it landed beside Angel. ''Your mother and i were...special...'' He lifted two more glasses and made them do flips. ''We could do many things, and now i believe you can to.''

[Boomer]

"Mother is a shifter..." she whispered, "I know she has powers." Alessa watched him move the glasses with ease; she too could move small objects without trouble.

Angel let out a harsh laugh. ''At least you can tell we're your children!'' She took the glass that landed beside her and through it at him. He flinched and was prepared to duck but Angel closed her eyes and made it retreat.
Jon clapped his hands together slowly. ''With proper training you both may exceed my own powers. Alessa, don't be so quick to put up a defence, and Angel, concentrate more.''

Alessa glanced to Angel for a moment. "I... r-really don't feel comfortable with training." she said, pinning her ears back. She didn't want to be forced to use her powers; she had been tested on before and she hated it.
