Lana laughed, but shook her head. “Nah, they’d catch on if you came to stick up for her. They’re surprisingly smart. You wouldn’t think it if you were to talk to them. They seem a bit slow sometimes.” She shrugged and stood up. “Fair point. As much as I want to leave the bakery, I’ll have to do that when I have somewhere else to go to. But it was nice seeing you again. You’ll be back to visit soon, right? Or at least send Raulf. I should probably get to know him if you’re good friends. Although, he never seems to happy in my company unless he’s eating the bakery’s goods. So maybe scrap that idea?” Honestly, she just wanted to spend more time with Theo. In the little time they spoke, Lana felt pretty comfortable with him and enjoyed being with him over other people.

He laughed softly, nodding. "I suppose you're right. That or they may get suspicious as to why I keep coming into the bakery so often, if I do," He hummed, then chuckled at her comment of her brothers. He quietened down a little, biting his lip. He gave her a short nod. "I'll be back. Can't just not come annoy you occasionally. I might even help with your errands." He offered with a grin. Theodore snorted at the mention of Raulf, the smile still of his face. "Raulf wouldn't be bothered to do anything for me. He says if I can sneak out, I can take care of my own business. He's easy to know, you've just got to poke and prod at him enough until he relinquishes his friendship." He teased the absent friend, beginning to rise from his seat. "well, Miss Thorpe, I shall walk you back to the bakery, only to make sure none of those pesky thieves decide you may have something valuable, and then I'll take my leave. It may be some time before I can come back, based on how angry my chambermaid is that I've disappeared again." He pulled a hand through his hair, offering a hand to help her from the seat.

“I mean, who knows? The rival bakeries may realise that they are not match to us, which is why you keep visiting.” She shrugged and laughed. “Aw, you aren’t annoying. Your company is far better than anyone else’s. It’s quite a struggle to find people who you can actually have a casual conversation with. I wouldn’t think you’d be the person to say that to, though.” Lana laughed as Theo spoke about Raulf. “I hope he doesn’t dislike me, at least. I can’t say t was the best first impression to either of you and Raulf seems to have quite a few opinions up his sleeve from what I can see.” She stood up too as she took his hand, smiling as she did so. “Oh, your chambermaid must love you occasionally sneaking away. But I guess I’ll be waiting.”
