chasing after the now fleeing heroine audric felt the tables had turned, although he was more expecting a fight rather than a chase. he didn't want to hurt any pedestrians on the side walk with the weapon and tried to maneuver past people. although he did end up shoving a few people aside, but at least he wasn't stabbing anyone with a spear. pursing the redhead audric watched her as she leaped over an outdoor cafe's table and unsheathed her sword. he expected her to in turn come swinging the sword at him, however instead she stated that she just wanted to talk, not fight. that was a relief to hear because audric didn't want to fight either. in all actuality he had no idea what he was doing. lowering his spear at her command audric sighed heavily. we can talk, i like talking. he said and replaced the spear to the latch that held it on his back. why don't you put that sword away as well. we want to be civilized, right? he said with a nod to her weapon. from his bracelet a small noise emitted and audric took a look down. a line on the ram horn shaped bracelet blinked for a moment before flickering out. that wasn't good. he tried to remember what it meant if all the lines went black, wouldn't he change back? audric didn't want that. looking back up to her audric wanted to get this conversation quickly settled so he wouldn't change back in front of this public space where everyone would see what his secret identity was.

bridgette let out a sigh of relief, slowly resheathing her sword. "yea, yea. you're right with that, i guess." she shrugged. patrons were starting to cast confused and concerned looks, much to her discomfort. well deserved looks, still. she had just interrupted an otherwise calm day. everyone had been enjoying their meals until she ran along."personally, i feel like we got off of the wrong foot." the redhead shrugged. more like the wrong leg. even both, at this point. in fact, they hadn't just got off on the wrong leg, they'd broken it. this encounter really wasn't going too well."i just need to know why exactly you attacked those girls in particular. it doesn't seem like they did anything to you." bridgette shrugged, attempting to make her voice sound less nervous.

now, she could admit she was highly biased to the small group of girls. one of them was practically family to her, so of course, she'd be leaning to their favor. if it wasn't for the small part of her mind that wanted a complete understanding, bridgette would've gone in, guns a-blazing. however, any reporter would know that they needed the full story and to avoid bias. and that, she would attempt to do.
