Ravenstar smiled in response and nodded in return. "It's nice to meet you as well. Hopefully our clans can get to know each other and become allies or at the very least, have a positive relationship."

Ravenstar was hopeful that Songclan would become a strong ally for AuroraClan. Having enemies share a border with the new clan would be incredibly detrimental to their growth and safety. But having an ally that had been in the area for a longer time than them would be seriously beneficial.

Wildeyes had been thoroughly expecting that response, but everyone else from Songclan released a faint sigh of relief. Everything would go over in a fairly friendly manner.
"Songclan would be honored to get to know Auroraclan in hopes of creating an alliance beneficial to both of us," Wildeyes said.

Ravenstar smiled. "Excellent. What terms would Songclan want?"
Her warriors and deputy all relaxed and Eaglefire grinned widely as things became more relaxed.

"Well," Wildeyes tilted her head to the side "I suppose there are a few things we should discuss. I know our healers venture out here now and then for certain herbs that so far we can only find here."

Ravenstar nodded. "That is reasonable, as long as it is just your healers. We could use some help adjusting to the area and where the best spots to gather herbs and food are."

Duskwhisper suddenly froze as the wind shifted. He took a deep breath and turned his head. "Ravenstar, I smell smoke." He stated gravely. The other AuroraClan warriors whipped around and starting scenting the air.

"There must be a fire! What direction is it coming from?" Eaglefire exclaimed with concern.

Wildeyes tilted her head from one side to the other, trying to track the smell "I can't tell. But I think south?"
Redsparrow turned her head to the horizon and squinted. She could just make out the orange tinted glow "She's right, it's coming from the south, right along the clans' border."
