August was surprised by his age, though it was impossible to tell since his face showed as much expression as a brick wall."I'm just saying you seem a bit innocent and... jumpy." He was specifically thinking about his reaction when the taller male had grabbed him, it didn't convey his supposed training. The man with purple eyes watched him intently as he leaned against the wall. "We were trained differently then, but that's besides the point." He shrugged, recalling how intensive his training had been from his father. "I'm assuming we're here for the same reason." His monotonous voice masked the fact that he was insanely confused as to why they would be after the same person.

zane shrugged. ”helps sell that i don’t have any blood on my hands.” he replied. it took him a moment to realize the problem with sharing a target. his expression soured. ”ugh, c’mon! my first solo job and i have to deal with this.” he sighed in exasperation.

August raised n eyebrow at the small male. First solo job? That's cute. He thought before an idea popped into his head. "How about we make this fun somehow?" The corner of his mouth quirked up into a mischievous grin, the first time he had finally put an expression onto his blank face.

zane looked over, a pout on his face. "oh yea? you're gonna leave and let me do the job? that'd be nice." he shrugged. he didn't exactly know what could be fun about this situation, but he was curious.

August rolled his eyes at the boy’s lack of enthusiasm. "We could make a little bet, how about that?" He walked over to white-haired male against the wall and leaned over him, trapping him between August and the bricks. ”Whoever kills him first gets something from the loser.” He had a subtle sly grin on his face that was nearly impossible to see.

zane was clearly panicking, but he decided to pretend he wasn't. ”psssh, ok, fine. what do you mean by something? you’ve got to be specific here.” he quickly replied, his words mixing together. to him, it sounded like he'd get killed if he didn't make it first.

August didn't back up from the male, though he was somewhat surprised he had seemed to accept his offer quite easily. "You can pick what you want from me and I can pick what I want from you." He shrugged, he didn't want much from the kid, he mostly just wanted to have some fun while he was on the job. "Money, new targets, secrets... you name it. I have a lot I can provide." He smirked and leaned in a bit closer.
