zane glanced over at the ground, panicking even more. he couldn't say why he was here, could he? "private business." he quickly replied, crossing his arms. as soon as he'd said that, the tall stranger had basically insulted him. again."hey, i'm not that small! you're the one who is overly tall."

He was exasperated, this kid really was getting on his nerves. Private business? August rolled his eyes and growled under his breath. "Don't you think it's a little late for private business?" He questioned further, leaning in closer skeptically. "Seems kinda suspicious." He stood back up straight and pulled his phone out of his hoodie pocket, getting ready to type in a number. "I think I'm going to have to call someone about this." He said, hoping it would maybe scare him away from the area.

zane's glare intensified as the taller one threatened him. "hmph. if you call someone, they won't have anyone to prove your statements." he shrugged, not wanting to threaten him. he could easily squash zane, even if zane did fight back. he zeroed in on the phone, putting his hands up in surrender. "wait, wait, c'mon, dude, no! i can't screw this one up!" he whined, realizing that if he was caught, he'd have to deal with the cops and the disappointment from his family.

His eyes narrowed at him, looking him up and down silently. "I won't call if you tell me what your business is here." He was curious about the boy in front of him, most people would've ran away by now due to how intimidating August could be. August found talking through his mask to be annoying so he pulled it down to below his chin, he briefly rubbed the bridge of his nose where the fabric would often rub against and left a red line below his eyes.

"to-"zane nearly told him, the words basically sliding off his tongues like butter. he closed his mouth as soon as he realized. he stood there silently for a moment, formulating a new response. "why should i tell you? if neither of us have any business being in this alleyway, what'll make them believe you? besides, you yourself thought i was a child. i'll just tell the authorities you tried to kidnap me." zane crossed his arms again, proud he'd come up with something. granted, the response had less impact due to the moment of silence. it still was something, though.

He rubbed the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Listen, kid." He gritted his teeth, his eyebrow beginning to twitch in irritation. He was usually very calm and collected but this was the first time in a long time someone managed to get to him. ”Can we just mutually agree we both aren’t supposed to be here?” He grabbed onto the boy’s jacket collar, pulling him closer easily since he didn’t seem to weigh much. His purple eyes seemed to be daggers as they narrowed at the the shorter male.

”i’ve said it already, i’m no kid, you oversized wisteria tree!” zane frowned. his outburst was quickly interrupted, as he was suddenly grabbed. he loudly squeaked, his eyes widening. at first, he attempted to escape, but it became apparent he didn’t have a chance at this point. ”whatever! just put me down!” he

August was beyond confused by whoever this guy was and how he managed to be so irritating. Oversized wisteria tree? His grip on him loosened slightly and he tilted his head, surprised that he had actually been called that. “I’ll let you go but you better not get in my way.” He grumbled flatly. He was curious about him but knew he didn’t have much time to get his target. But why was this random kid conveniently in the same alleyway? “Who are you here for?” He was starting to suspect that maybe he was here for a similar reason but he couldn’t just plainly ask if he also came here for an assassination.

the ivory-haired male dusted himself off once he was let go. ”fine, whatever! don’t get in my way either. you’ve screwed up my hair enough.” he pouted. he slightly jumped when he was asked who he was here for. was he really that obvious? was this guy actually a bodyguard? ”boss guy....” he sighed, fixing his hair back to its normal position. he wasn’t risking getting tossed at a wall by this guy, and he sure wasn’t gonna fight. clearly, both of them didn’t have legal intentions. zane just hoped he didn’t interrupt a drug buying session-to be.

August raised an eyebrow at the white-haired boy. ”Same...” He wasn’t sure if his suspicions were true and he couldn’t plainly ask him if he was sent to kill someone. ”How old are you anyway? You don’t seem like the type of guy to be involved in this stuff.” He remained vague about what he was actually doing here, but there was no other reason he could think of for someone else to enter the same alleyway conveniently looking for the same man.
