zay sighed, putting her head in her hands. "hunter. what do you want?" she asked, sucking in a loud breath through her nose. "what do you want...?" she repeated. zay didnt want to do anything with this boy, but she just wanted him to shut up. she shut her book and put all her things back into her bag. "say the word and we can do it." she said, shrugging. "im bored anyway." she said with a sigh. "please just say something. anything to make you shut up."

giving a lopsided grin as the girl clearly appeared aggravated with him already- he then gave a lazy shrug. truthfully, he didn't want anything from the black-haired girl, or, frankly, anything to do with her- but it's not like he'd actually want to put even a drop of effort into doing, besides homework for his lousy teachers that probably didn't expect it on time anyway. "i want," he cockily begun, sparing a quick glance towards the window before his lips twitched upwards into a smirk. "your homework."

zay rolled her eyes at the boy’s words. “you’re such a joy to be around” she said with a sarcastic tone as she pulled out her notebook, throwing it at hunter. “take it. copy it quick and give me my stuff back.”. she said, sighing through her nose. she turned around and stared at the whiteboard. she wouldn’t have given it to the boy, but she would do anything at that point just to be left alone. she hadn’t had too good of a day. and she wanted to be able just to do her work in silence. but with hunter in there, it was going to be practically impossible.

at her soon following words, hunter gave a scoff. "gee, thanks." he muttered, tone laced with an evidently large amount of distaste. when she practically threw the book at him- he was extremely thankful that instead of hitting his face, it landed with a rather loud 'thump' onto the wooden table. unable to let the smirk drop from his face, he then simply gave a nod at her words, waiting a few moments for her to turn around, before plainly pulling the textbook off the table, and throwing it just as she did- almost like a frisbee out the open window that led into the schools yard. "well, that solves that problem." the male spoke soon after, offering a large- almost sarcastic looking smile towards the dark-haired female. no, it didn't solve the problem of him not actually doing his homework, which he should've- no; but instead the one of getting her to leave the classroom.

zay rolled her eyes. “you just don’t know when to stop, do you?” she growled, walking out of the classroom. she didn’t care if the teacher saw. she didn’t care about anything at the moment. she didn’t really know why this was her breaking point. it was just a dumb book. but the problems she was having outside of school, they were not just a dumb problem. she felt tears running down her face as she picked the book up. she didn’t really know why. but she stormed back into the room, trying her best to hide her face.

simply- he hadn't thought she'd get that mad. he'd been taught this way, to not show respect. basically, make people scared- and they'd show respect to you through fear. so, truthfully speaking, no. he did not know when to stop, because he'd never been taught how in the first place. it was sad, really, but it's how his life worked. he didn't bother getting up to follow her, either- as his father surely hadn't when his mother walked out, so why should he over a girl he barely knew? he watched as she picked up the book he'd thrown with what he'd noticed were trembling hands, and then stormed back into the room with her head down low. was she crying? over a book?

he hadn't been in a situation like this before. sure, maybe after a night with a girl he'd taken home from the club only to kick out the morning after, but they should've expected that. but over a book? how was he meant to react to that? apologise? he hadn't apologised to someone in a long time, nevertheless someone, well.. alive. "damn it- i didn't think you'd cry over a book." he then nervously stuttered out- reaching a hand to rub at the back of his neck.

zay growled loudly. “look, hunter. i’m not crying over a damn book. i’m crying because for some weird reason, this had to be my breaking point.” she said, tears rolling down her face. “so just leave me alone.” she said, turning back around and slamming the book down on her desk. zay wasn’t about to just let all her feelings out to this boy who didn’t even care about her in the first place. she sighed through her nose, tears falling onto the desk. but she didn’t really care at this point. what was there to care about anyways? her parents were divorcing. her sister was going to live with her dad, she was going to live with her mom. it didn’t matter.

he couldn't help but frown over her uninformative word choice- how was he meant to get anything out of that? he couldn't understand his feelings, let alone anyone else's. breaking point for what, exactly? his mind was practically swamped with questions for the girl he hadn't even bothered to learn something as little as the name from- yet he was still intrigued for a reason he couldn't truly understand. "now, where's the fun in that?"

zay could control her anger. she turned around, her teeth gritted. “leave me alone!” she practically screamed in his face. “it’s none of your business what’s going on in my life. all you’re gonna do with the information is use it against me. so just shut up.” she said with a huff. she turned back around, once again. she hates this. she wished he would just leave her alone, but she knew he wouldn’t. it didn’t matter to him. and she didn’t know why it was like that.

he didn't even so much as flinch at the sudden yelling- he was actually kind of used to things like this, it's not like they were uncommon in a place he used to happily call home. and instead, just stared blankly. he then raised his hands in a mock surrender, "alright, fine." he gave a lazy chuckle. "but just so you know," he then spoke quietly- voice dangerously close to becoming a whisper. "i don't use things against people who don't deserve it, i'm not that bad." at least, he wasn't exactly like his father. that was one thing he could be proud of.
