those were only a small amount of the words that landed him here. sure- if he hadn't chosen such a pleasant array of words to come out of his mouth at his lousy math teacher, he may not of been in this situation. he and the teacher he oh-so loathed had grown to hate each other, leading them to petty bickers and words shared between one another. and often, considering the fact she was much higher up then him in ranks and had the ability to override whatever he could, she would send him to detention.

muttering wildly about how much he despised mrs. deeth, he begrudgingly trudged into the classroom where detention was being held, offering a half-assed mock salute to the teacher before shuffling his feet to the back of class. he'd taken a notice of the stack of paper on the male teachers desk- and he eyed it suspiciously. there surely wouldn't be that many teenage delinquents scurrying into the classroom. normally it was just him.

"maybe they took a stand for 'emselves." scoffed the dirty blonde, dropping his backpack to the ground before taking a seat at the most secluded desk the classroom offered.

zay felt like screaming. she had gotten detention from her english teacher that morning for being tardy to class. if it hadnt been for the stupid freshmen in the hallway, she would have been perfectly on time. oh how she hated her english teacher and the freshmen in the hallway. finally, the school day ended. she made her way to the classroom where detention would be held. she looked in the room and groaned out loud. now she was really going to scream. sat in the back of the class was one of the school's notorious bad boys. hunter rush. she rolled her eyes and sat at the seat closest to door and the furthest in the front. she could not believe this. she pulled out her history book. her plan for detention? get her homework for history done and ignore hunter.

pulling an all too cliche move and raising his legs to rest them on the wooden table top, he then gave a very overly dramatic sigh. sure, homework was on his 'to-do list' but so was a bunch of other stuff that, frankly, he'd never get around to completing. becoming bored rather quickly, his blue eyes travelled the eerily silent classroom. he momentarily met those with a dark-haired girl who had just entered, but she ultimately flipped him off. rude. he mentally scoffed, placing both arms over his chest.

after a few moments of debating whether he'd try and strike up a conversation with the girl who looked too innocent for her own good, he then quickly glanced at what he presumed to be homework that she was scribbling on, eyebrows knitting together. "hey, princess," he drawled, "you're in detention and doing homework? lame."

zay rolled her eyes when the boy talked to her. she refused to talk back. she starting writing harder. she was thinking about that day. why did it have to be her? why couldnt it have been all the freshmen in the hallway? like why was it her in here with the idiot in the back of the room? she looked at her homework, trying to figure it out. she was tempted to talk to the boy, she was really bored. and the teacher wasnt in there. but it was against the rules to talk. no matter how bad she wanted to, she wouldnt.

when the brunette didn't answer his confident struck words immediately, a frown itched it's way onto his lips. not a plainly sad one- more one where he was attempting to think of something to say, yet again. "ah, so we have ourselves a perfect princess," lazily chuckled the teen, kicking his legs off the table as he leaned against it. "y'know, the camera's in here don't work. so if your scared of getting your perfectly praised ass in more trouble then you already are, you won't." the blonde spoke casually, sparing a glance to the cameras that clearly weren't operating. some would question how he knew such things- but mostly, his reputation spoke clearly enough. he was a supposed bad boy- and from the books, they knew everything and everyone. at least he could live up to one of the tags in the title he'd received.

zay growled, not even caring anymore. she turned around and stared at hunter. it was a stare that could burn through anything if she wanted to. "listen hot [removed], im trying to do something. you need something from my perfectly praised ass or can i get back to doing my work so i can actually make it somewhere in life?" she asked. zay was obviously annoyed already, and hunter wasnt making it any better. "now shut up and let me work, pretty boy." she said through her teeth before she turned back around in her seat and started reading and writing again. she was more than angry. she was pissed to the gods. and he wasnt making anything better.

almost snorting in amusement to the girls comeback, he then quirked an eyebrow. "so the princess bites back," he declared cockily. he could notice her obvious change in moods, and honestly, it amused him to no ends. "pretty boy isn't that original, don't you agree?" he gave a smirk, and although she couldn't see it because her nose was stuffed into a book, it still remained. "if you're going to avoid me, by the way, at least make sure your book isn't upside down."
