Leafkit let out a yawn, watching Fidgetpaw approach. Her heart skipped a beat, but she lay still, pretending to sleep.
Silverfoot flashed a glance to Pine. ''Hey Pine, do you wanna do something? Take Jay and go hunt.'' It slightly bothered her to have the shecat watching so closely.

Pine nodded, padding over to where he'd made his solitary nest and gently nudged his shoulder. She had to resort to jumping on his face before he walk up, lashing out at her before following her into the forest.
Fidgetpaw gently nosed her cheek. "Morning, Sunshine." He purred softly. Leafkit was his best friend; in his opinion, maybe more to him. But they were young, and thinking back to his own parents, he could easily be wrong.

Leafkit felt a shudder go through her. Letting out a fake-yawn, she pretended to be sleepy, stretching and letting out squeaks. ''How ya doing?'' She mewed, happy to have him here. Flashing a quick look to Nightkit, she felt happy that he chose to play with her instead.

Fidgetpaw smiled, sitting next to her. "I'm fine, you?" He shook his hind leg a little. He flicked her ear with his tail playfully. Leafkit was great.
Nightkit, who had been staring glassy-eyed at the wall, now stared at Fidgetpaw and Leafkit, her gaze boring into their pelts. Of course. He always wanted to spend all his time with her. Why? Because she was sweet and pretty, that's why. Her face twisted up in disgust as she stood up, bitterly flicking her tail as she padded away to find Jay. He had become like a father to her; she just wouldn't let Brackenflight in.

Leafkit playfully leaped onto his tail, letting out a tiny snarl. ''I'm doing great! Silverfoot says I'll soon be a apprentice! And maybe you'll be a warrior!'' She knew that she was only a few moons younger than the tom, but it excited her to talk about being grown-up.

He sighed inwardly. "I'm not to sure of that." He shook his leg. "But I never wanted to be one, and Petalpool doesn't have an apprentice, so maybe I can be a medicine cat." He dragged her carefully of his tail by the scruff. "Let's think; You'll be Leafpaw soon!" He said excitedly.

Letting out another squeak, she flashed her tiny claws around. ''Are you sure? There's so many rules and...things!'' But after considering his added words, she than said, ''Yeah! I'll be the fastest, strongest, and whatever else an apprentice is really good at!''

"Well, you've got to be.... Brave." He held his chin up, deciding to gesture off the traits he listed. "And strong." He unseathed his claws and slashing the air. "And fast." He chose not to do this one. "And kind." He gently nuzzled her shoulder. He sighed. "That's why I believe I'm more apt to be a medicine cat." He picked a random plant off the ground. "The thing is, I can name most of the herbs I find. I don't know why, it just comes so naturally for be." He sniffed it.

Shel listened intently to his words, taking it all in. ''Hmm, but maybe? Maybe you could at least train with me?'' She didn't want her friendship to die, or fade. Maybe it was her crush or ego in the way of letting go of all ties to the tom, but she refused to do so. A secret affection for a medicine cat was wrong she knew, but nothing could stop it.

"I'll train with you, but don't count on me becoming a warrior. Now come on, let's go do something. I haven't gotten out of camp much yet." He bounced around a bit, tail tip twitching impatiently.
