Silverfoot braced for attack. ''I'm going to avenge you mother.'' She said aloud, creeping forward. ''Greystone, if you wanted Swiftclan so badly, why not kill me or Roseheart when we were young, than kill Brightstar? A answer suddenly popped into her head. You would've become deputy anyway of you killed her, but if you missed us, we'd suspect you.''

"I am not so cold as to kill a kit. Maybe a stupid apprentice," his gaze flickered to Fidgetpaw, trying to back away from all of them, unsteadily on three legs. "But not an innocent kit. Plus, I'd assumed Roseheart was too stupid to ever know. She was always so into her own looks and hunger to control, the petty fool." He side-stepped away from Silverfoot as he spoke until he stood next to Fidgetpaw. He put a paw on his throat and whisperef something to him. Fidgetpaw froze.

Her gaze grew hotter as she looked upon the tom in hate. As he spoke, her claws unsheathed into the leaves and moss. ''Leave us now, before you'll regret it. Your clearly outnumbered.'' Her own voice was full of malice and full on hatred for the tom. Stalking carefully around the pair as he whispered, she lashed out her claws, barely missing his cheek.

Greystone leaped fowards, sliding under her and unbalancing her. He stood at her side, a paw on her throat. "You foolish cat!" He spat. "How did you even figure it out? That unfaithful traitor, Badgerclaw? Some other witness? I thought I'd slaughtered them all!" Fidgetpaw bawled into Greystone, falling on top of the older tom. "Just leave, Greystone! This is over!" Greystone shook him off and ran up the hill. "This isn't the last you will see of me!" He shrieked.

Silverfoot felt her vision blur and suddenly she was on her back, with his claws on her throat. She tried to manage a hiss, but nothing came out but a gurgle. Just as she thought she'd pass out, Fidgetpaw bowled the tom off of her. Springing up, she growled and stood beside the apprentice. ''I'm sure it will be! If we see again, you'll be dead!'' She shrieked after the tom, her urge to chase him was unbearable, but she needed to check on Fidgetpaw.

Fidgetpaw stared distantly at the spot Greystone had disappeared, his eyes and expression showing a messy jumble of emotions of all kinds. Anger, fear, and... Sadness, disappointment, and uncertainty. "If I know him like I do, he'll be back." He breathed shakily.

Silverfoot inhaled deeply and watched the tom ran over the hills into the trees. ''He'll be back, I know it. But as long as the fire in our hearts is free and the blood in our veins is flowing, he'll be stopped.'' A fear for what would happen if he returned filled her, and she hoped that his pride would of died enough to leave them.

Fidgetpaw sighed. "I'm afraid you wouldn't understand, Silverfoot." He padded up to the base of the tree and curled up underneath a root, laying on his side with his injured leg.

Huffing a sigh, she began looking for Petalpool. ''She must've gone back to Badgerclaw!'' She hissed, anger growing in her claws for the tom. ''Good for nothing, nasty....'' She muttered under her breathe.

Petalpool returned a few minutes later with Badgerclaw limping along beside her, using her shoulder as a support. She brought him into her makeshift den and let him rest there. She then climbed the tree to check on the kits.
