Sam looked down at her with a soft gaze, holding her a little tighter against him. He felt the urge to protect her from everything, but he didn’t know exactly what he thought he was protecting her from. He kept walking beside her before they came to the front of her building and stopped in front of her, taking both of her hands in his “Thank you for going to the restaurant with me, it was a wonderful evening.” he murmured, a small smile on his face.

Eden smiled softly and nodded her head, "No need to thank me. I had a great time," she whispered as she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Her head laying on his chest, liking how close he held her to him. She liked feeling protected and she knew Mila would be asking her many questions in the morning about what happened. She released Eden from the hug and looked up at him, "Meet me at the library tomorrow morning?" she asked quietly, not wanting to make him think she was very desperate.

Sam held her to him, enjoying her warmth for a moment before looking into her eyes. He smiled and nodded his head “Of course,” he replied. He rubbed the back of her hands gently with his thumbs and smiled at her “Have a great night, Eden, I’ll see you tomorrow morning,” he said, slowly letting go of her hands. He threw back one more departing glance before making his way back to his own apartment, hands in his pockets.

Eden woke the next morning with a grin on her face. She quickly jumped out of her bed and ran to grab her phone, immediately dialing Mila's phone number. "Come on Mila, answer," she bounced about, waiting for her friend to answer her phone. She wanted to tell her about her date yesterday and didn't want to wait for her to wake up.

Airden woke to be surrounded by every single video game he owned. He couldn't remember what had happened the day before and only rolled his eyes once he remembered. With a huff he stood up and stretched, his shoulders and back cracking as he walked to his room to change into something other than his jeans and grey shirt from the day before. He wondered where his buddy was, just then realizing that he hadn't shown up after his date the day before.

Mila rolled over as she woke to the sound of her phone ringing. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked at her phone, smiling to see her friend’s name lighting up the screen. She swiped over on the screen to answer it and rolled into her stomach, letting her hair fall over her face. “HEY. So we both had a pretty good evening, hm?” she answered, a smile on her face with her eyes closed.

Sam whacked his alarm as it woke him before rolling and sitting up. He checked the time and figured he had enough time to shower before going to see Eden. He smiled softly at the thought of seeing her again. He pushed himself out of bed and walked slowly into the bathroom, stretching out his limbs and back. He wondered what was on Airden’s schedule later that day. [Hang out this afternoon?] he sent him, if Eden needed to focus on her schooling he’d go see his friend.

Eden grinned, [Oh my god it was the best date ever] she swooned as she put her phone on speaker so she could change. She slipped on a white tank top and a pair of blue shorts. Quickly she slipped on her black sandals. [First he took me out to dinner and after we went star watching in the park.] She happily spun around as she pulled her hair into a ponytail to keep it out of her face. [How did your night go?] She questioned with a grin as she sat down on her bed.

Airden picked up his phone and shook his head. [Sorry Sam, I actually invited a girl over to my apartment to try and beat me at Mario Kart.} He replied, not even thinking how strange of a statement that was. He didn't really care though, he was just happy to see Mila again.

Mila smiled as Eden explained the date “Sounds like a good pick, I hope I get to meet him!” she said as she rolled out of her bed. She grinned as she mentioned her date “Listen. He’s really... cute,” she started, a nervous laugh escaped from her mouth as she ran a hand through her hair “We met on the sidewalk because this rude lady shoved me into him. And then we went to a diner, and I’m going over to his place in a little while to play Mario Kart,” she explained, placing her phone on speaker phone on her dresser and she looked at her hair in the mirror. “His name’s Airden, he’s quite funny. What’s your guy’s name?” she asked curiously, throwing a glance over at her phone beside her.

Sam stepped back out of the shower and dried his hair off as he looked down at his phone. He nodded his head at his Airden’s text [Nice man, have fun.] he responded before starting to get dressed for the day. He pulled on blue jeans and a slightly fitted black t-shirt, then stepped into brown work type boots. He threw a glance in his bathroom mirror before making himself some cereal quick.
