Cinder looked over to Nathan. "Yep! Let's go." she stated and jumped up from her seat. She grabbed her own cup and then went to grab Nathan's. Using one hand, it was a bit difficult. After a few tries, she managed to grab it and walked over to a trashcan to throw it away. "That was fun." she chuckled and gestured to the door. "We should probably get back soon." she mentioned.

Marvin managed a small laugh. "Yeah. Minus the missing skin." she repeated quietly and pulled her knees up close to her body. She nodded as Hades spoke. "Probably normal. Considering you got speared by ice." she commented, more bluntly than she had intended. Rubbing the back of her neck, she looked around at the camp. Everyone was pretty much asleep. Except Scarlet, who was dozing off while trying to keep an eye on Leo. Keeping her gaze down, she scooted a few inches closer to him. She partially felt bad for having scared him a bit ago.

Nathan smiled and stood up, following her "I could've gotten those, shorty." He said and wrapped his arm around her waist, leading her to the door, opening it, then leading her out "that was fun." He agreed and kissed the top of her head before looking around "ready to go back to the agency?" He asked softly.

Hades smiled slightly and glanced at her from the corner of his eye, keeping his head down so it didn't seem like he was actually looking at her "yeah, my shoulder hurts a bit." He mumbled "but what did I expect, everything to heal in like five seconds?" He asked then chuckled ever so slightly. He kept his gaze down and smiled just a bit after he noticed her scoot closer to him "you can move closer, I don't bite." He whispered teasingly.

Cinder glared at Nathan as he teased her. "I'll very quickly kick you in the kneecaps." she growled and shoved him playfully. "Yeah I guess. Although I really don't want to. We gotta be responsible adults." she began walking out the door, dragging her feet dramatically. "Ah yes. I love my job where I get to kill people that haven't even done anything wrong to me personally." she joked, keeping her voice down so no one heard. Thankfully, she'd gotten used to her job and the burdens that came with it.

Marvin chuckled with Hades. "What I wouldn't give for accelerated healing." she said whimsically and looked up into the trees. She heard Hades tease her about scooting closer and looked over to him. "What? I know. If anything, I'm the one who will bite your head off." she retorted and rolled her eyes. She remained where she sat on the log, not moving closer or farther away.

Nathan chuckled “why would you want to do that?” He asked and smiled happily, his eyes flickered from the sidewalk in front of him to Cinder’s face every few seconds “I don’t think kicking someone in the kneecaps is very nice.” He joked. Once she began joking about their job he laughed and gently grabbed her hand “yeah, nothing better than leaving the agency fine then coming back covered in blood, not knowing if it’s yours or the stranger’s that you just eliminated.” He said quietly and looked around for a moment, everything seemed calm for once in the big city they called home.

Hades chuckled lightly and scooted closer to her “you wouldn’t do that.” He whispered, his tone teasing again “you love me too much, you’d miss my handsome face.” He teased, looking down at her slightly “eh, you might not miss my face, but you’d definitely miss my teasing comments after a little while, since you’re already used to them.” He smiled slightly and patted the little dog on his lap.

Echo began to stir and then suddenly jerked awake. She sat up, breathing heavily. Another nightmare. Just like the one when she had been in surgery. Sweat beaded at her forehead and she wiped it away. Her heart monitor was beating like crazy and a nurse paused at the doorway to check on her. The terror slowly began to leave her eyes and she stared blankly at the end of the bed.
"You alright, dear?" the nurse asked and took a few steps into the room.
"I'm fine." Echo breathed and wiped her face again.

"I'd only do it if they deserved such a painful punishment." she giggled. "Yeah. Do they realize how much clothing I've ruined? Countless shirts." Cinder shook her head. Suddenly, she looked up to see a figure as they ducked behind a corner of a building. She narrowed her eyes, watching the corner of the building to see if they reappeared. Her smile faded and she gave Nathan a concerned look. "I think we're being watching." she said through her teeth, managing a smile towards him so that she wouldn't give away that she had seen something. "Hero." she breathed and began walking in the opposite direction, grabbing his arm so that he followed.

Marvin narrowed her eyes at Hades. "Is that a challenge?" she growled, teasing him of course. "Maybe I'd miss you. Maybe I wouldn't." she shrugged. Of course, it wasn't true. That could be proven by how freaked out she had been earlier that day. Her smile faltered slightly at the thought of Hades being gone. It had come close earlier. The event still spooked her slightly.

Eric stood up quickly as Echo jerked awake, tipping his chair over in the process and hurting his side "ow." He groaned, looking at Echo "are you okay, love?" He asked, holding his side with one hand and gently squeezing hers with the other "nightmare?" He asked gently, glancing down at his side and seeing that he caused the wound, from falling off Kita onto sharp rocks, to begin bleeding again.

Hades gave her a small smirk then waved his hand, the small dogs disappearing. He looked over at her then scooted closer, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and leaning down towards her face, their lips merely centimeters apart "what if it is?" He asked and looked into her eyes for a second before his eyes flickered to her lips and back up to her eyes "we'll see." He murmured then moved away from her.

(oh how bad I want to have a thing where Hades and Marvin slowly begin to fall for each other.)

Echo jumped when the chair fell over. "Are you okay?" she asked, staring up at him. The girl looked down to his side and frowned. "Eric. You didn't have them look at that?" she asked and straightened her posture so that she was more comfortable. The pain in her abdomen was tolerable with all of the pain medication. "You need to take care of yourself." she began, looking him in the eyes. "Something bad could happen if you aren't careful." It felt like she was his mother at the moment.

"We aren't picking up anything." she hissed through her teeth and dragged him around a few other buildings. They needed to lose this hero. It wasn't unheard of for Heroes to strike down agents in the open. Or drag them back to their own headquarters. "We need to get out of here." Cinder whispered and rounded another corner.

Marvin stiffened and leaned away slightly as Hades wrapped an arm around her. She stared up at him, unsure what to do. Unable to come up with a different response, she slapped him across the face. Not ridiculously hard. But enough to leave a slight mark. "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!" her eyes widened when she realized what she had done. Marvin composed herself quickly. "That was for... almost dying earlier." she said awkwardly and rubbed her hands together. This is why she didn't have any friends.

He asked her and gave her a slight smile before taking lead of where they were going, weaving through alleys easily.

Echo shook her head. “No don’t apologize. Just get it fixed so it doesn’t get worse.” She didn’t mean to sound harsh. It was more of a tough love gesture. “I just want you to be okay.” She groaned as her abdomen began to ache and grasped at the bandage. All of the movement was making it started to ache. “Have her take a look and stop the bleeding.” She gestured to the nurse who was already walking in with medical supplies.

Cinder smiled at him, trying to play everything off. However, they had already been spotted. Their best option was running. She followed after Nathan, sneaking glanced behind her every once in a while to see if they were being followed. Suddenly, something barrel into her side. Cinder yelped as she was tackled to the ground by a man. The breath was knocked out of her and she quickly spawned two wolves who leapt at her attacker. The man started yelling as the wolves mauled him. Cinder crawled away, jumping to her feet. “There’s probably more. Let’s go!” She cried and grabbed onto Nathan again.

He said softly and leant down, kissing her forehead before moving away from her and pulling his bloodied hoodie and shirt off so the nurse could fix his side up.

He mumbled and ran into a dead end "what?" He questioned, confused, that wasn't there before, the last thing he saw was a flash of purple before he was knocked out.
