"alrighty, time to go." kisa mumbled as she gripped the jeep's keys. her heart almost froze as she heard the comment. "heh...im glad that you think im friendly. theres a lot of creatures out there who think bears are either bad news or terrifying." kisa admitted, sounding a bit sad at the fact. it was true, some of the powerful creatures around the cities were hard to befriend, unless they had business or needed some protection. crocs, pit bulls, lions, bears, and rhinos to start off with. just because a species was big, had long claws and teeth, or was more muscular than the average creature; that didnt mean the species was all bad. kisa could remember difficult times in her school because of how big she was, nearing almost twice the size of the average student, maybe even larger. "i never really had friends, so that one is a new one. only business partners, family, and guarded personnel." kisa said as she made the engine roar to life before driving to the house. she stopped at mary's house first before driving to her own house, thinking that mary was too tired to really do much walking anyway. "well, you have a good rest, alright? dont work too hard and ill see you in the morning." she stated as she then drove to her house.

[Boomer]

"I've never held any sort of fear towards the stronger or larger ones..." she admitted, "The worst monster I've encountered was your typical mutt." Mary shook her head a little, not wanting to get too upset. She then shut her eyes, feeling at ease. "I had a few friends in school, but I mostly focused on my studies." she said, "Maria had lots of friends..." Mary didn't feel left out or anything; she just wanted to focus on getting into nursing school. As they pulled up to the house, Mary got out of the jeep. "You're welcome to stop by whenever." she offered, "Have a good rest." Mary crept into the house, hoping that her pups were still asleep. To her surprise, they weren't in the living room or in the kitchen; those were good signs that they were still sleeping.

"ah, thats understandable. its okay, im glad you told me." kisa said, keeping her eyes on the road, "just letting you know now, if you need me to beat someone up, ill do it free of charge. or, better yet, ill do the job and take you out somewhere afterwards." kisa laughed, knowing she would do anything for her friends and family, even if it is beating creatures up for them. thank the stars the bear was brought up right and is now a chaotic hero type. "ill keep that in mind. maybe we can have dinner sometime after i finish moving. i think ill stay here from now on." kisa said as she saw the nurse exit the vehicle and closed the door to her house after getting out. with a grin, she backed up into the road once more, driving to the next house. after parking, she walked to the door and unlocked it, entering the house that now looks more like home. "ill move more stuff next week. this is all i need for now." she told herself, opening a door to the master bedroom and looked down at the small pallet on the floor. there was a pillow at one end, folded blanket at the other end, leaving the small red panda plushie in the middle. she could remember the day she won it for saki at the festival and the day she almost sold it to keep the house they were staying at. kisa paid for the toy, giving takeo the money for it so she could keep it afterwards. she treasured that toy afterwards, especially now that saki was gone to college. with a sad sigh, she pulled the cover up over her shoulders, laid down, and drifted to sleep.

[Boomer]

Mary's cheeks turned slightly red as she nodded. "I'll keep that in mind..." she said, right before going into the house. She looked around for a moment before going up to her room and going right to sleep. Thankfully Maria made the pups breakfast and lunch; it had been a few hours when Mary finally woke up. She got out of bed and looked at her watch. "Oh dear..." she murmured, frowning as it was 4 PM.

Aoi let out a whimper as the night slowly started to end, allowing morning to slowly settle in. a few minutes past as she was quiet, then she let out a louder whimper, crossed with a growl. indeed, she was having a nightmare, but this dream consisted of a blank canvas, as if she was scared of nothing itself, and she was surrounded by it. her mind was white, as if she was walking in what some people think as 'oblivion' . then things began to change. flashes of lab coats, corked vials, and cages filled her mind as she slept, feeling as if she had a tight collar around her neck that only gets tighter with every tug, and someone was dragging her somewhere. she tried to escape by digging her claws into the cracks of the tiled floor under her, but no avail, as the floor was smooth and the cracks werent deep enough to catch. as she was tugged into the room with the leash she was attatched to, she was then put on top of a metal table. aoi felt weight on her limbs as she tried to struggle, then saw the syringe. by the time it touched her, she let out a loud yelp and tumbled into the floor, her body now tangled in the blankets that were on the bed. aoi regained her posture after she hit the wooden floor and attacked her dresser, biting it of a force that made her teeth sink into the wood. along with the bite, she scratched its front and side a few times before she realized that what she was biting wasnt someone, but something. something hard as a matter of fact. she opened her eyes to see what she could always see, her eyes reverting back to their normal state, her having really bad eyesight. aoi took a few minutes to calm down and finish panting from the terrifying dream, feeling her body slouch against the wall and then the floor. something was going on, but she didnt know what.

[Boomer]

Alessa slept on and off during the day and into the night. She only got up to eat and get ready for bed. The pup had her usual nightmare of being chased down by her mother. Alessa would always be caught by the collar of her dress and would almost be hurt before waking up. Alessa was used to the nightmare in some sense, but it still rattled her. This occurred a few times during the night. She slept through Aoi's growling and yelping, as she was finally at peace. In the morning, Alessa got up at 7 and limped to her desk, sitting down and working on a sketch until it was time for Mary to draw her blood.

kisa woke up around seven thirty, the alarm she had set for five oclock and six had failed to wake her up enough to actually get up. the bear groaned as she leaned up, forcing everything in her body to stand up and start getting ready. she brewed a cup of coffee and prepared it how she liked it, seeing it was then twenty minutes later. once she was ready, she climbed into the jeep and drove the top speed of the roads to make it to the orphanage by eight ten, almost glad that mary was still there when she had gotten there. "hey, sorry im late. my alarm was quiet today." kisa said as she scratched the back of her head. she sounded a bit out of breath, but she regained it after a couple of seconds after a good sigh. "whew, guess im getting a little out of shape." kisa said with a laugh as she looked a bit ashamed, but she knew what could fix it.

[Boomer]

Mary had gotten to the orphanage on time and went to Alessa's room so the girl didn't have to walk. She drew the girl's blood and helped her to the dining room by the time Kisa got there. "Good morning..." she said quietly, "That's already, I needed time to get Alessa to breakfast." She then crossed her arms lightly. "I doubt you're out of shape." she mused, "It isn't close to winter."

"eh, winter got nothing to do with it, i been too involved with my work to be training like i should." kisa explained as she grinned. "i need to take up hiking like i use to." she added as she began to wonder how aoi was doing now that alessa was doing good. "how ya doing, kiddo? how did you sleep?" kisa asked as she saw alessa, giving her a smile as she reached in her pocket for something. "i brought you another pair of fluffy socks to wear." kisa said as she held them out, hoping she would get some use from them. after all, kisa didnt have anyone else to give them to and they wouldnt fit aoi. 'wait, speaking of aoi...' kisa thought as she stood back up from kneeling to give the socks. "has aoi woken up?" kisa asked as she began to wonder about the girl. once she was finished with aoi's gift, kisa walked up to aoi's room, finding it locked. "hey, is something wrong aoi? why is the door locked?" kisa asked as kisa then put her ear to the door to see if she could hear anything.

[Boomer]

Alessa patiently sat at the table as Mary and Kisa approached. "I'm tired..." she said quietly. It looked like it was a struggle to keep her eyes open. Still, she never missed a meal if she could help it. Alessa took the socks and felt them. "Thank you..." she murmured, setting them on the floor next to Scarlett. She'd try them on after breakfast. Mary looked to Kisa and tilted her head slightly. "I haven't been in to check on her yet." she said. She followed Kisa to Aoi's room, frowning that the door was locked. "Odd..." she mumbled.
