"see? that wasnt so bad. but i do want you to put on a pair of socks before you start." kisa said sternly before putting the girl down. "ill be looking at the kitchen's damages to the walls, floors, and appliances to make sure they are all running smoothly before i help with the mess. can you show mary which room aoi has? she has a tough recovery to get through, so a bed would keep her as comfortable as it can. mary, i need you to keep the covers off of her in case she strikes a fever. every now and then her body would fight back against what i gave her. its to keep her from doing that thing again. hm, matter of fact, ill follow her up to the room so i can remember where she is and uh, you know..." kisa ordered, quite use to barking out commands to other members of her chef team and emergency rescue teams. her last few words kind of drifted a bit, partly because she was exhausted, but wanted to keep fighting sleep until she was finished with the job, the reason she was a good manager.

[Boomer]

Alessa kept her head down as she went to her room and put on some socks. She then returned to the kitchen and cleaned up, never once complaining or huffing. Mrs. Potter had already cleaned up most of the glass, that way no one would hurt themselves again. She went ahead and showed Mary and Kisa to Aoi's room. Mary carried the girl and gently set her in the bed. She didn't cover up Aoi as she felt her pulse; she wanted a baseline and she'd monitor Aoi if Kisa needed her to. Alessa cleaned the kitchen, even the parts that weren't damaged. She even scrubbed the floors until her arms were sore.

kisa took a look at the walls and noticed a few minor damages, something that can be repairable with the right stuff. "hey, i may have to come back and give these walls repairs. i dont have any cement to deal with, but i have some in my storage shed across town. " kisa said as she took out her glasses and continued with the inspection. next were the appliances, in which the refrigerator had a couple of scratches in it, nothing that a good paint job wouldnt fix. apart from that, the stove had a small dent, as well as the table having some loose screws. the screws must have been from years of having children around it, so kisa walked to the car afterwards and tightened them up with her spare screwdriver she had in her repair kit in the jeep. "alright, this place is starting to look tip top. alessa, are you okay? i think we did plenty." kisa said as she looked over at the pup. "you dont have to scrub it, i...ill have to teach you some more modern ways of cleaning." she insisted as she sat down beside the pup. "say, how about it? would you like some icecream after this? im sure you havent had any of that in a while." she offered, giving a genuine smile.

[Boomer]

Alessa eventually laid on the floor, too tired to get up. She just stayed there as Kisa examined everything and sat next to her. The pup panted slightly as she was wore out. "N-no t-thank you..." she whispered, "I... d-don't really deserve any." Alessa thought she had been bad by destroying the kitchen and running. She was used to severe punishments for lighter actions, so she thought that Mrs. Potter would want more than just her cleaning up the mess. She shut her golden eyes, using Scarlett as a pillow.

"ah, i know your tired. maybe later then. listen, this isnt a punishment. you havent done anything wrong back there. you couldnt control what you dont have control in yet, and you went with your instinct. to be honest, if i was your age, i would have done the same thing. dont punish yourself for you being you. i know its hard with the life you lived before, but we're going to make it better. tell you what. ill show you how us girls have fun, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. we deserve something after all the work we had. its bad for you if you dont reward yourself doing something good. making messes are things, but cleaning them afterwards means you are respectful enough to fix what you did. and thats a good thing." kisa said as she leaned back, laying down on the floor, looking at the ceiling. "come here..." kisa said as she scooted the pup over to her and embraced the pup gently. "you did a really good job." she whispered, before standing up with the pup in her arms.

[Boomer]

"I... w-why d-do you say that?" she asked, forcing herself to open her eyes. Alessa didn't understand why everyone was okay with her using her power; her mother hated Alessa because of her telekinesis. She had wanted her daughter to be exactly like her. Alessa trembled a little as she thought about her mother. "S-she'd hit me, or hurt me if I u-used my power." she admitted, "E-even if I w-was defending myself. She s-said I was cursed, l-like my father." Alessa stared into Scarlett's glassy eyes before shaking her head some. She didn't usually open up about her mother. The girl felt herself being moved and hugged, something she wasn't used to feeling. Alessa simply didn't have the energy to fight anymore; she let herself go limp in Kisa's arms.

kisa thought a few moments before answering, trying to find a good way to put it to the pup. "well?...hm. okay, remember when aoi was huge? that was pretty scary, right?" she asked, wondering if this would be a good example, "scary things make people defend themselves, just because they dont know what they're messing with." kisa said as she got an idea. "like that shower head. its scary, but once you know what it does and how it works, your not scared of it anymore. therefore, you dont defend yourself against it. see, your mom probably didnt have powers, nor knew what your power was, it sounds to me like your mom was scared of you, or your dad. i wont know the true reason, but maybe she is frightened of your power. maybe thats the reason behind all that hurt. some creatures cant react to things like that with anything else." kisa explained, knowing that the pup wouldnt get what she meant. "its hard to explain, but theres people out there that accept the use of things that arent normal. personally, i encourage it to help them control what they can do early on to help prevent 'messes'."

[Boomer]

"Oh, M-Mother wasn't afraid..." she said, looking up at Kisa, "S-she wanted me to be like her, a shifter. T-that didn't ever happen..." Alessa looked around for a few moments, then sighed quietly. "She was cruel and l-liked it when I was afraid." she mumbled, "I w-would sometimes practice when s-she'd lock me in my room, o-or the attic when she w-went to work." Alessa practiced moving things around and testing her limits when her mother left her all alone. She was always careful not to mess up anything. Alessa looked down at Scarlett and frowned. "T-the nicest thing she did w-was give me Scarlett." she said quietly, almost silently.

"hm, i actually never heard of someone that was able to use both powers, maybe one of them is just asleep while the other one took over. just to our understanding, i think it works like genes to which power you recieve. i always wanted to study how different powers work." kisa said, almost rambling. "but that thing your mom did to you, thats a bad thing. cruelty never solves a thing, and neither does violence. folks like me look into stopping the use of cruel intentions because good overcomes bad. you know, its not your fault for what your body chose as its power, but i dont think she knew about that. its like flipping a coin, with both sides being a power. she shouldnt have done all those things." kisa explained, her voice sounding a bit hurt. "im rough around the edges, but thats only because that is how i am. theres a fine line between cruelty and needful dominance. basically, im here to teach that theres good in the world, even though the bad sometimes overlaps it."

[Boomer]

Alessa felt her chest tighten up a little when Kisa mentioned wanting to study powers. She didn't want to be tested on again. "Y-you w-won't make me u-use my power for experiments, r-right?" she asked nervously. Alessa quivered slightly at the thought of being tested on once again. The old hospital she was at threatened to send her off to a lab that would conduct more painful experiments if she ever tried to cross them. Alessa shook her head a little. "M-Mother said I got my power from him..." she whispered, "I-I don't know what genes are, though." She wasn't sure if that information was important to Kisa or not. She sighed softly, finding herself on the verge of falling asleep. "M-may I rest?" she asked, hoping she'd be allowed to sleep for a while to regain her strength and energy.
