• "No catch. Think of it as a basic starting of a repayment. I mean, you didn't shot me the moment i let my guard down, not to mention your helping me out and all. Plus. As you stated, i've technically been dead for two years. Its just going to sit there. So i figured, give you half now, and when we find a way to send me back to where i'm from, then you can take the rest. It'll be put to good use." He stated with a shrug of his shoulders, leaning back in his seat easily.
  
• "And gain, dead for two years, no way you could use ny of the information against me now so. Go head, ask me anything. I'm sure everyone knows how much i love to talk after all." He hummed in amusement. Seeing the look on rhys face when he opened that question was definitely interesting. Didn't help he sort of already missed all the worshipping in a way.

Rhys thought it over for a moment, if there really was no catch- "Alright. I'll have to let Yvette know, though, since she helps me budget everything. No doubt she'll be even angrier once I tell her I'm letting you of all people give me money." Rhys laughed a little. Oh Yvette was so going to kill him after this. Okay- questions to ask Handsome Jack that might not upset him- Rhys tapped his foot. "What's under the mask? I mean, there has to be some reason you wear it other than it looking kinda cool." That one was at the top of his list of burning questions, and if Jack seriously was giving him the chance to ask anything, Rhys really wanted to know this. What was so bad that made Jack cover his face with a mask he never took off in front of anyone? "Has anyone even seen you with it off before?" A fair follow-up question.

• Jck shrugged his shoulders in response. "Alright, well. When you want it, its here." He stated, waving the echo slightly before setting it aside and leaning back in the chair even more. It was better the funds get put to some kind of decent work then just sitting there gathering dust practically.
  
  
• Thought the look on rhys face was rather adorable. He brightens up quite a bit and looked like a kid in a cndy store practically. He chuckles a bit in response til he heard the question. Oh. He lifts a hand and makes a gesture to himself. "So you want to know what all this is about huh?" He mused with a raised brow. "Don't shriek. Dealing with the Destroyer here on pandora wasn't my first vault princess. Elpis had a vault too. Hired a group to help me out of the dahl raid and to find it. Took a while, but we found it. A vault of infinite knowledge. Of course it had some... Consequences. A siren named lilith, pretty much teleported in and... well, decided to give me this." He stated lifting a hand to hit the latches.
  
  
• The mask comes off rather easily and he pulls it away from his face, tossing it onto the table the echo sat on. Theres a scar that obviously covers a large portion of his face, the outter edges extremely dark in color while the 'center' of the scar is much lighter, almost like it was glowing in color and without the mask, his right eye was pale in color, showing the mask was designed to hide the fact he was practically blinded on the right side. "Hurt like a Son of a-... still does sometimes too. Mask fixed the sight issue too. Specialized lense on the right eye and transmits when i'm wearing it. Think of it like a removable version of that eye of yours pretty much." He concluded with a shrug of his shoulders as he looks over his mask.

For a moment Rhys thought he'd made a mistake asking that, but then Jack started his explanation. Rhys listened carefully, and was quite surprised Jack was being so open about this. He'd opened more than one Vault? Guess he really would answer anything. Now it was setting in that Jack was probably the only person he'd talked to that had also been in a vault, besides Fiona. Rhys hadn't really talked to her in a while. Of all the things Rhys was expecting, Jack starting to take off his mask was definitely not one of them. He unintentionally held his breath while the mask was thrown aside.

Rhys couldn't help but stare. So that's what Jack was hiding, a large, vault-symbol shaped scar. It didn't look anywhere near as bad as Rhys thought it would- the thought had crossed his mind before that Jack could've had no nose or something like that. Although, Rhys had not seen anything similar to Jack's scar before- it was unique how the it seemed to glow ever so slightly. It stood out. Rhys understood why he wanted to keep it covered, but admittedly Jack was still very handsome without the mask. Rhys finally remembered to breath, not really knowing what to say. "I- did not expect you to take your mask off. You didn't have to do that." It was so strange to see his real face, but for some unknown reason Rhys liked seeing him without the mask much more than when the mask was on. He blinked, and realized he should stop staring before he made it weird. Rhys looked at the ground.

• Jack shrugs a bit in response, chuckling softly at the reaction as he picked up the mask, looked it over for a moment before putting it back on. "Well, i've learned its easier to just show people then try and describe it. Something gets lost in explanation nd people just stare and give this dumb look that would give anyone the urge to wipe it off their face. Plus its more hilarious when you show people without context and they try to guess how you get it and then the real explanation is given. Going through two vaults, beating two vault beasts and so on and so forth." He mused with a dismissive wave of his hand.
  
  
• He actually seems relatively calm answering this questions. "Theres only been about eight other people who've seen under this mask. Five hunters i hired to help on Elpis, A body double that also did, My daughter and my Private doctor. Ya know, i'm actually surprised Atlas is standing since one of the Hunters i hired mentioned using the cash to help fund her total extermination of Pandora's Atlas corporation." He concluded as he scratched the back of his head in thought, then shrugged his shoulders.

So he was one of nine people who had seen the scar? Rhys was stunned by that fact, and that Jack had hardly known him for a day and he'd already trusted him with this. He was oddly disappointed when the mask was put back on. "You look fine without it, you know," Rhys said, feeling brave. The only reason Rhys could think of for Jack to wear the mask besides wanting to avoid explaining why there was a vault symbol branded onto his face was that Jack personally didn't like how he looked with the scar. To avoid embarrassing himself, Rhys tacked on to what Jack said about Atlas. "Athena? She, uh, actually succeeded in that. Wiped everyone out. Atlas had been out of business for a while, but I came across the rights to it and started to rebuild this place from the ground up. She got her revenge with the old Atlas, so she's chill about us now." So if Athena was with Jack on Elpis, she'd also been in a Vault before. Honestly wasn't that surprising seeing as she was literally a Vault Hunter and vault was in the job description.

• Jack claps his hands a bit. "Yeah! Athena! Savage gladiator girl! Thats the one." He mused with nod of his head, thought he did rise a brow at the comment. "Are you trying to make a pass at me now Sugar? I mean, your not the first, but your definitely the boldest one. Thought if you prefer it off, i guess i could leave it off a little longer." He stated as he stopped trying to latch it on and undid them once more before setting it back down.
  
• "You know how many of my enemies would kill to know a weakness like this? Being unable to see on the right and all without this mask?" He mused, bsently waving a hand on his right side just to emphasis said point as he looks at rhys. "So you got any other questions for me there Princess?" He asked with a raised brow and smile on his lips.

Unsurprisingly, Rhys's face went red."Maybe I am, maybe not, guess you'll have to find out." Another pass, and Rhys was smiling. God, why did he say that? Jack might not even have been flirting with him earlier, complements tended to go straight to Rhys's head. Maybe it was because Jack seemed a lot nicer than Rhys had remembered- the hologram was never this nice to him. Either way, Jack kept his mask off and Rhys felt smug about it. He shrugged. "I'm assuming a lot of enemies." It probably messed with Jack's depth perception, and therefore his aim without the mask on. That meant Jack might be more vulnerable without it on, and that would certainly be a weak spot.

"Y'know, I have a lot of questions- but I'm going to spare you from having to answer how many hair products you use and what your actual name is, because it certainly can't be 'Handsome Jack,'" Rhys laughed lightly. He thought he was over this whole Jack fanboy thing, from the, well, trauma, but now he was just embarrassing himself. "And, uh, as much as I don't want you to, the guards are probably going to arrive soon so the mask-" he made a gesture over his face, "-yeah." At least he managed to keep that mask off for just a minute longer.

• Jack snorted a bit in amusement as he shrugged alittle. Thought he did for a second time, pick up his mask he move to put it back on. "Not as many as you'd think. Its just the real expensive, good stuff." When the part about his real name was brought up, he slide fingers throught his hair.
  
  
• The last time he'd been called john was when he killed tassiter. John died with tassiter was his immediate thought process. "I'll give you a hint. It has a meaning just like my name Jack. Jack means God is Gracious my old name means The grace or Mercy of the Lord. Have fun pondering that for a while." He mused with a shrug of his shoulders and an amused smile on his lips.

Rhys would definitely think on that a lot and try to piece together what it was. Although, his chances of figuring it out were slim since he knew next to nothing about name meanings. The guards arrived at last, and Rhys stepped right outside the doorway. He specifically requested they were part of the group that were there with them in the lobby, so they wouldn't be surprised by seeing Jack. Rhys shot out a few orders: don't let Jack wander by himself, make sure he doesn't try hacking anything, don't let anyone attack him, yada yada yada- then Rhys thanked them for the ECHO comm. He spun back around and held it out to Jack. "Alright, I've got meetings to attend." Rhys sighed and ran his free hand through his hair. He had to sort out which office he'd be borrowing until his was repaired. After today he really needed a break- Rhys planned to clear his schedule for tomorrow. "Remember to call me if you need anything, and please don't give these two anything to report to me." Jack seemed to trust Rhys a lot already, and it was making Rhys trust Jack again rather quickly, too, despite him knowing it wasn't a good idea. He knew he'd probably get at least one report back though since this was Handsome Jack he was talking to.
