Reeva heard rustling in the forest, and quickly lifted her head. “Who’s there?” She neighed, seeing a glimpse of a horse passing through the trees. Her breathing quickened. If it was a predator, she couldn’t run. She couldn’t do anything but sit there, watching herself get mauled.
