    Erika - hunter - female - 28
located at the gathering - tagging open - feeling uncomfortable
    (mentioned - Samir, Judd)
The surrounding area had already been enveloped by the darkness of the evening, when a warm light started trickling into the
woods past the numerous evergreen trees. Erika had lost track of the time, but telling by the few distant voices, the gathering
had started. Reluctantly, she headed towards the noise until she reached the edge of the woods where their usual meeting place
was set. Logs surrounded a crackling fire, which bathed the clearing in a soft glow. Trudging into the middle of the scene felt
uninviting, and so she leaned her shoulder against one of the trees surrounding the glade. When she noticed Samir crouched near
the blaze, she gave him a quick nod in greeting. There was no indication that he'd been informed of the morning spat, but it was
likely that the man was simply waiting for an opportune moment to address the events. Erika had allowed herself to be pulled into
Judd's half-witted antics, but it hadn't been her argument in the beginning and thus she had little interest in sorting it out.
However, she would enjoy seeing the arrogant fighter get lectured like the child he was.

Soon her attention was caught by a pair of eyes in the shadows, faintly reflecting the flickering flames. It looked like a few of her
packmates had decided to arrive in their lupine forms. She quietly huffed at this - seemingly many of them treated lycanthropy like
a novelty. A fun thing to toy with. She had a more pessimistic view of it all, and for a good reason. This didn't mean that she utterly
loathed her condition however - running through the underbrush on four legs was a freedom unlike anything she'd felt before. But
    the wolf was an isolating burden. You were a threat to every single frail human around - what they meant to you was insignificant;
a meaningless lovers' quarrel could turn into a slaughter.

The scene in front of her was starting to stir some unwelcome feelings, which felt like tiny burning pinpricks at the nape of her neck
    - all of it was a bit too reminiscent of a campfire after an exhausting hike. She pushed the intrusive thoughts from her mind before
they could spiral. The pack didn't need her melodramatics right now.

Sebastian's day after he left the coffee shop with his tea in his hands was uneventful. He stayed away from the pack house, entertaining himself with the beauty of the town and the forest. Eventually, he knew, he needed to find a job and actually contribute something to the pack; being just another mouth to feed wasn't a good look, especially for an omega such as himself. And it wasn't like there was a shortage of workers needed in the town. He just didn't feel ready yet, to actually take an initiative for himself and only for himself. The closest he had gotten to that yet was abandoning his old pack and going after Aiden.

As he turned up to the blazing bonfire, the sense of worthlessness didn't leave him. Many of his packmates had brought things to help put the little event together. He, however, was once again empty handed. Sebastian squared his shoulders and shoved his hands into his pockets. He stuck to the shadows just out of reach of the elegant glow of the fire. He was mightily cold, but he wasn't ready to put himself in the spotlight yet.

He circled the bonfire until he spied his brother and Sienna on one of the benches. Slowly, he approached the duo and sat down beside Aiden. The look on his face told him that his brother was not feeling the greatest, so Sebastian held his tongue which normally would have been running a mile a minute. Instead, he tugged on the lip of his jacket collar and leaned against Aiden. "You're warm..." He muttered quietly, faintly feeling the heat of the fire on his damp pant legs as well.

    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Marcy's day had been, for the most part, uneventful. She had slept in far too long and instead woke up to a house of chaos. Some mornings went well but others were more challenging, it had been one of those. She could feel the slight headache of stress pull at the base of skull and she sighed, bringing her hand up and running it through her tousled blonde locks she sighed, taking a sip of the cool water before she rested her hands on the countertops. Behind her a small pot of milk bubbled away and beside it the two remaining packs of hot cocoa, cinnamon, peppermint, chocolate chunks, and two small thermoses. She had originally planned on making the entire pack her coveted hot cocoa for the bonfire but they were down to the last bits of the ingredients. The bubbling behind her grew rapid and she turned on her heels, removing the pot from the heat and pouring in the chocolatey powder followed by a generous pinch of cinnamon and a few drops of the peppermint extract. Slowly but surely the mixture came together, thickening to a decadent texture and a soft smile creased her usually gentle features. Anyone with two eyes and a brain could see that her passion laid within cooking, baking, anything to do with the kitchen really. Setting the pot away to cool for a few moments she busied herself on shaving the remaining chunk of chocolate down before dumping it in the pot and pouring the contents into the two thermoses. One for her and one for Samir.

With the drinks done she set them aside, weaving her way around the pack house to her own room. Her room was simply yet cozy and warm, a place of comfort and peace. That was how she liked it to be, a safe spot amidst all of the day's troubles. She shut the door behind her, making her way for a dresser and opting for some lighter ware, she would be next to a fire after all...it wouldn't get that cold even with the snow, right? Right. With that in mind she pulled on a simple pair of jeans that hugged her frame, a longsleeve shirt that was thin yet comfortable and some boots with fuzzy socks on the inside. It was a simple outfit for a simple and laid-back occasion. She turned now, facing a mirror and making small adjustments to the clothing and her hair before time finally caught up with her. "Shoot!" The simple word slipped from her mouth and she turned away, shoving her phone in her back pocket and grabbing a small backpack to put the thermoses into she raced from her room to the kitchen, making sure the lids to the thermoses were on as tight as she could manage to get them before putting them in the bag gently and making her way to the bonfire.

Her trip there was short and quick, her small frame making it remarkably easy for her to make it through the snow. She could hear the fire crackle and fizzle as she came closer various packmates already littering the site. It brought a soft smile to her reddened cheeks to see the sight of it all. Bonfires were one thing she appreciated highly, they brought the pack together for a night of companionship. She paused, setting the bag down near a tree and pulling the two thermoses out- they were still warm to the touch which she relished in. She had underestimated the weather poorly. Nevertheless she made her way over to Samir, standing just to his side and nudging his elbow she gave a warm smile as the light from the massive flame lit her light skin aglow. "Hey, made some hot chocolate." Her words came quietly, as she handed the thermos to him, opting now to open her own and take a small sip of the liquid. She swore it warmed even her soul, it was the perfect temperature. Cool enough to drink without burning yourself but hot enough to make you smile a dopey, happy smile.

Her gaze flicked around the side, watching on as Sebastian snuggled up against Aiden she gave them both a warm smile before she turned, opting to sit on one of the open benches nearest the fire and cupping the warm thermos as it warmed the palms of her hands. Tonight would hopefully be a good night given the day of drama everyone had, or atleast she hoped.

Judd Harris
➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟
(rank). fighter (location). gathering (mood). grumpy and agitated (tags). Aiden (mentioned: Samir, Sebastian, Mia, Natasha, Erika) // open

In the end, with all of his pack member’s eyes glaring at him, Judd grudgingly cleaned up the mess he created. He didn’t feel remorse at all for what he’d done, other than a faint wish to punch Aiden clean in the face. That, he knew, wouldn’t end ell at all. If he wasn’t Pine Knob’s most hated guy yet, he would be then. He tuned out the irritating scolding from Natasha and Erika. God, don’t they ever shut up? Their voices grained on his temper even more, and it was all he could do to keep his hands form flying out again. Instead, he concentrated on picking each shard up and studying their jagged edges… And imagining what they might look like seeking into Aiden.

After cleaning up, he roughly shoved Skylar aside and left the house without a word. His last “sign” to the pack was a brazen, rebellious middle finger sticking up as he walked away. The snow crunched under his feet, but the anger pulsing through his veins was enough to keep him warm. He needed to do something to let it out, something productive. He was tempted to shift into his wolf form and follow Aiden’s heavy tracks in the snow. Somewhere midway, Aiden’s footsteps had turned into pawsteps. If Aiden had shifted too, then there would be no stopping inevitable bloodshed between them. Judd gritted his teeth, pulled his beanie tighter on his head, and forced himself to keep walking away from more trouble.

Judd spent the rest of the day in his wolf form, running about the forest and charging at any animal he came across. His powerful black legs churned up the frozen snow behind him, and his tongue lolling out in pursuit of a rabbit. However, the creature was too quick for him, and it went bolting for the protection of its hole. Judd came to a skidding halt and let out a roar of frustration. His amber eyes scanned the forest and his nostrils flared, desperately searching for any other creature he could terrorize.

He kept up with this endless cycle of chasing and startling his prey, until he eventually caught himself a plump squirrel. His teeth gnashed away at the little creature, and as he did so, he gradually felt his anger melt away. Channeling it into his wolf form was always the best way to escape it – unfortunately it came at the expense of the mauled creature between his paws.

Judd stayed in this contemplative state, and everything from the morning gradually started to trickle out of his mind. The large black wolf laid in the snow as he gradually watched day turn into night. The darkness crept in early now, the shadows from the trees growing longer each passing moment. This was Judd’s favorite time of the day, and he wanted to enjoy it for as long as he could. Before he’d left the house, he’d received a text from Samir. There was going to be some dumb pack campfire bonding tonight, as if sitting around in the cold and roasting marshmallows would ease any sort of tension within the pack.

Even though he was rebellious and aggressive, he was loyal. If Samir wanted to have a stupid bonfire, then fine. Judd would show up for a bit, complete his commitment, and then head back to the house for a beer. His wolf let out a sigh as he watched the sun creep into the horizon. I may as well go and get this over with.

Judd picked up the squirrel’s backbone and held it firm between his teeth. His hackles raised in anticipation of the pain. The wolf shut his eyes and focused on the form he wanted to return to. The shifting process was a gruelingly painful one, and within seconds, the squirrel spine snapped from the force of his jaws.

His bones were elongating and his organs changing to fit into a human body. Judd saw flashes of light and blurred color, along with a tangle of nauseating scents, ear-piercing sounds. It seemed to last forever, but moments later, he was laying back on the snow. His fingers were clutching a nearby stone, fighting off the lingering pain of the shift. No matter what they said, it had never gotten easier for him.

It took Judd a few minutes to recover, and ultimately, the freezing snow soaking through his clothes was what got him up. “This better be worth it,” he grumbled. It would have been far easier to stay in his wolf form, but with his heightened aggression of the full moon, he thought better of it. If his wolf wanted to lunge at Aiden’s throat, there was nothing that could stop him.

Judd stomped through the snow grumpily, still feeling the aftereffects from the shift. His wolf was begging to come out again as the stars sparkled overhead. A twinge of anxiety pierced his chest. If anyone did happen to provoke him like earlier, nothing could stop his wolf from coming out.

Finally, he made it to the Pine Knob campfire. Some of his packmates were already gathered, with Dimidian covertly creeping in his wolf form and Erika striding in as a human. Arthur and Natasha were here, always inseparable. Sienna came as a canine, with bags of smores supplies hanging from her jaws. Sure, campfires were dumb, but Judd would kill for a smore – his mouth was watering already. Samir was here, poking kindling into the teepee fire and then… Judd’s eyes locked on Aiden’s. His omega brother, Sebastian, was leaning on him slightly for warmth. Of course, he had an omega brother – there were too many omegas in this pack.

Aiden still looked like crap. Judd kept his eyes locked on the other fighter, silently challenging him. One word and Aiden would be looking even more like crap… However, Judd reminded himself that Samir was less than a few feet away from him. If he tried anything, the alpha would put him in his place. A prickle of unease ran through Judd’s body. Had Samir heard about what happened earlier? Would he even care? Mia, the beta, had seen it all go down -- she better not be a snitch. Other than a plate, there had been no casualties or bloodshed. Besides, Judd was exercising his right; the other male had used the last of the hot water, and no one messed with Judd’s morning showers.

Freida kept smoking her cigarette on the porch as the madness continued inside the house. A door slammed once, with Aiden leaving as quick as he could. More shouts came form inside, and not long after, Judd had left too. Freida’s eyes widened as she watched Judd in his pursuit. Oh, please don’t follow Aiden, please… The scene earlier had been a stupid spat of male dominance. However, once Judd was pushed, nothing could stop him. She hoped to the winter spirits that the arrogant fighter wouldn’t take the morning drama a step further. If he went after Aiden just for some cold shower water… Freida shivered at the thought. She hated the innate, bloodthirsty nature of the wolf, and when it was combined with aggressive souls like Judd, it made an awful situation.

Thankfully, Judd turned in the opposite direction, heading west. “Hopefully he’ll stay there for a long while,” Freida breathed. She kept smoking her cigarette in silence, until it burned down to a roach. The hippie tossed it down on the snow, stomped on it, and carefully picked it up again. Even if she had a bad smoking habit, she would never turn into a litterer. How could she forsake Mother Earth like that?

Luckily, that seemed to be the drama for the rest of the day. The pack members went their own ways and started doing their own things. Freida wanted to get back to her conversation with Dimidian. The male had said something that she had just caught before the plate was sacrificed. She wanted to learn more about the cruel Goddess he bowed to. He was an interesting guy, and if she could just poke inside his head… She felt like he was one of the few people in the pack that didn’t look at her like a crazy, dumb hippie.

Freida’s wolf wanted to come out badly, but she forced it to stay inside. As much as she would’ve loved to romp around in the snow, she wasn’t quite ready for the pain that came with the shift. Besides, she preferred to go wolf when she was surrounded by her canine packmates. She’d save it for tonight’s bonfire.

Throughout the day, she kept checking the time on her phone. Five more hours. Four more hours. Three… To say Freida was excited for the bonfire was an understatement. They hadn’t done something like this in ages. It was the perfect night for it, under the moon and stars, surrounded by sweets and all her friends. Well, her friends and Judd. She hoped that the bonfire would smooth over the tensions of this morning. Even more so, Freida wanted to use this time to talk with her packmates. She’d felt a bit isolated lately, and she was really looking forward to reconnecting.

Her phone’s alarm went off, and Freida excitedly threw down her pen and shut her journal. It was finally time! She walked over to her mirror and even forced herself to run a brush through her wild hair. She kept on her trusty tie-die leggings, but she threw on a thick baja hoodie over her tee shirt. It was gonna be cold tonight.

Freida’s arms were drawn tight across her torso as she made her way through the woods. She loved the beauty of winter, but she was looking forward to the summer months where she could wear her light, flowy clothes and bask in the sun. She saw the inviting glow of the fire in the distance and immediately jogged towards it. She couldn’t wait to feel the its warm, welcoming embrace.

“Hey guys!” she chirped, not hesitating to get closer to the flames. Some were standing back, but Freida was eager to be near the center of the heat and attention. Judd and Aiden were giving each other a stare down, but nothing dramatic had happened yet. A soft smile crossed Freida’s face as she noticed Aiden’s little brother, Sebastian, sitting close to him. Sebastian was one of the newer guys to the pack, and Freida liked his sweet spirit. She let out an inaudible sigh, wishing that she and her brother were close. But it didn’t matter… Everyone in the pack was her brother and sister.

Fredia kept her hands reached towards the fire and inspected its structure. Samir set it up teepee-style this time, and it seemed to make the fire feel bigger, somehow. “You’ve got a nice fire going Samir! And a great idea too, we need to do this more often.” Something about it was magical, and she hoped that unlike this morning, the peace would last.

Sufficiently warmed, Freida made her way to one of the log benches. Just before she put her foot down, a grey mass caught her eye. She quickly withdrew her foot from where she’d planned on stepping. Good thing she realized that Dimidian had been laying there in his wolf form, before she’d stepped on his tail. That would’ve been embarrassing, for sure. “Oh, sorry,” she breathed, “didn’t realize you were there, dude.” His pelt blended in so well with the darkness. An uncharacteristic shyness suddenly overcame her, so Freida weaved her way around the large wolf and plopped down next to Sebastian. She gave the omega a friendly pat on the shoulder but couldn’t help glancing slyly over at Dimidian again. Trying her best to shake off the weird shyness, Freida glanced to her right and saw Sienna's wolf with a bag of marshmallows and chocolates. "Well, I'm starving, are we gonna roast some smores or what?" she prompted everyone with a smile. "I'll venmo you, Sierra, for the supplies!"

Skylar Woods
➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟➟
(rank). omega (location). gathering (mood). a little better and more confident (tags). Samir, Erika

What a day it had been. To her relief, others like Natasha and Erika jumped to the little omega’s defense. She hated the way Judd treated her but was too afraid to say anything. Maybe that’s why I’m an omega, she thought. However, her other packmates had her back, and soon, Judd was cleaning up his battlefield.

Erika seemed to linger for a moment, and Skylar caught herself glancing up at the girl. For the most part, the Icelandic girl kept to herself, so seeing her rush into the fray was quite the surprise. Skylar blinked and opened her mouth to thank the older girl, but before she could get the words out, Erika left in a huff. Judd followed shortly after, and that was it. Still sitting on the floor, Skylar took a few moments to process everything that had happened.

It was a tense situation, but no one had shed blood. Well… Skylar’s nose twitched as she smelled its warm tang and glanced down at her hands. In all the commotion, she hadn’t realized that she’d cut her hands trying to frantically sweep up the debris before Erika stepped in. It wasn’t a deep cut, but it was just enough to sting. Skylar quietly excused herself and made her way up to her room to bandage the cut. It wasn’t anything she was worried about – it should heal within a few hours. Now that she was alone in her room, she could let out the emotions that she so carefully kept bottled around the others. Hot tears of both pain and sadness trickled down her cheeks. Why did Judd have to humiliate her like that? Why couldn’t she just wake up and have a normal day and cook breakfast for everyone? Why did today have to be a full moon?

Skylar kept to herself for the rest of the day, trying to get more sleep in between asthmatic coughing fits. She had no energy to get up out of bed and no desire to see her packmates after the embarrassing scene this morning. However, around 5 o’clock, she checked her phone and saw an excited text from Samir. He’d sent it a few hours ago – she must’ve been asleep then. Still, she was glad she caught it and liked the message in the group chat. She wasn’t quite feeling up to a bonfire, but she knew that Samir would want her to be there. He was a great guy, and although she never said more than a few words to him, he always made her feel welcome. With any luck, maybe Judd would be too ashamed with his previous behavior to show up near the alpha.

However, Sky knew that her asthma would make it difficult to attend the bonfire. The cold air had been strangling her throat all day, the smoke from the fire wouldn’t make matters any better. With a sign, Skylar decided that going in her wolf form would likely give her the most relief from her symptoms. Her wolf still had a difficult time breathing, but somehow, her asthmatic triggers weren’t quite as severe while in her shifted form.

Shifting, unfortunately, would be the hardest part. Skylar rarely ever shifted, terrified of the pain that came with it. Though tonight with the full moon, Skylar could feel the beast, frenzied to get out. It was better now than never. Wishing to get it over with as quickly as she could, and in the comfort of her warm room, Skylar’s mind focused on what she wanted.

The pain shot through her veins instantly, and she slammed her hand over her mouth to keep herself from screaming. Soon, her pale hand started to gradually fade away, as it was replaced with tan fur sprouting out of her arm. Each prickle of hair coming through her skin burned, and every pop of her bones felt as if a bullet were going through them. Her shifts always took longer, since she was one of the least accustomed to them.

This painful process went on for another several minutes, until her wolf lay trembling and quaking. She opened her pale eyes, her surroundings coming in blurry and out of focus. She still felt extremely weak, but on the bright side, her lungs felt more capable of taking in breaths. Skylar rested for a few more minutes until the after effects of the shift had worn off, and then she gathered her paws underneath her and daintily climbed down from her bed.

Her wolf was hardly bigger than a dog. Like her human form, her wolf was delicate and petite. Her paws made it down the stairs, hardly making a sound. Even though she was small, Skylar could get around the house without making any sound -- that was as long as she wasn’t wheezing from her asthma, of course. The tan wolf slunk out of the house and off towards the forest. For once, she felt free and somewhat healthy. Tentatively, she broke out into a trot, enjoying the feel of the wind in her fur and the much-needed exercise. She felt better than she did in a long time. Maybe I should shift more often?

Unfortunately, Skylar felt a familiar twinge in her lungs as soon as the campfire came into view. She forced herself to a slow walk, trying to let her breath catch back up to her. So far, though, she wasn’t coughing and that was a blessing. Skylar flattened her ears in a sign of submission to her packmates, some of who were in their wolf forms as well. She let out a little woof of greeting, and then settled near the edge of the circle, as far from the smoke as she could get.

She let out a few occasional coughs and wheezes, but so far, she was doing pretty well. The fire’s heat felt soothing on her aching body, and the general chatter of everyone helped her feel more at ease. Skylar was careful not to meet the alpha’s eyes, but she gave him an appreciative nod. She loved how he tried to bring everyone together, and how welcoming he was. He was a kind leader who looked past rank and provided for everyone. Not many people were like him.

The petite wolf’s eyes traveled from their alpha and landed on an inconspicuous Erika, who was leaning against a nearby tree.
Ever since this morning, Skylar had been meaning to thank the pretty hunter. Being in her wolf form, it was a little harder to communicate, but Skylar was sure that Erika could read her body language and understand. But she was nervous… Erika was such a quiet and intimidating figure, and with her arms crossed, it didn’t seem like she wanted to be approached. However, Skylar felt bolder in her wolf form and forced herself to get to her paws and walk over to her. She sat down next to the tall girl and glanced up at Erika, with her eyes shining with more appreciation than she could ever verbalize. Thank you.

xxxxxxxxxthe situation that happened this morning was playing her mind, judd attitude wasn't right but she didn't know what was up with the fighter. his snapping at other wolves isn't making it any easier on the pack, he was risking himself to be kicked out if he isn't careful. the beta was laying on her bed just thinking about today, with a small sigh escaping her lips she made a move. she needed to go join the wolves at the bonfire. she placed her ugg boots on her feet and stretched a little before making her way out of her bedroom. she closed the door behind her and skipped her way down the stairs before heading out of the cabin. the cold air hitting her skin causing her to shiver a little, but as she looked the sky it was beautiful. it was a starry night, so bright no cloud in the sky to cover the twinkling lights above her. with a smile appearing on her face she made her way over towards the bonfire. she could hear mumbling of different voices but all familiar to her.
xxxxxxxxx"evening everyone!" the beta said softly but loud enough for everyone to hear. she sat by her alpha samir, on a log placed for her. she sighed gently as she sat before her eyes set on judd, she gathered from the way he looked how he presented himself that he didn't want to be here. her eyes then moved across to aiden he looked rather tired, she bit her lip and moved her eyes away. her eyes were now set on the bonfire crackling in front of her. the smell of the fire filled the air, the smell of burning filled in her nose. she loved the smell and fire and playing with it of course. but this time she was here to relax if it is possible. she hoped the situation that happened this morning won't repeat tonight. another smile appeared as arthur entered the open area. her eyes remained on him for a little while before tearing them away from the fighter. she just listened to the other conversations that the pack was having around her.

      ARTHUR WALTERS
      ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
      | male | twenty four years old | fighter | no love interest | at the bonfire | tagged with nobody |

After everything that had happened that morning, Arthur found himself in solitude. He had been passive about the whole Judd ordeal, but it did unnerve him just a little bit. Those kind of arguments reminded him of the wolves in his old pack. Even though they were strong, they never got along with one another. This was one of the things on the list as to why he had left his old pack. Sure, he was a fighter, but that didn't mean he had to enjoy watching others fight around him. He had been sitting in his room listening to music when he had gotten a text telling the pack that there would be a bonfire tonight.

He had cringed at the thought of being around so many of his pack mates at once, but pushed that down, swallowing the anxiety he felt. It would be nice to attempt to socialize with his pack, he needed more friends. Well, that's what he told himself anyways. Shortly after these thoughts, he had managed to scrape together some things to bring. A few blankets and a book. He glanced out the window and noticed how dark it had suddenly gotten, so he headed towards the door of his bedroom, pulling it open then closing it behind him. He stood outside his room, eyes closed as he steeled his nerves 'They're basically your family, how bad could it be?'

Bad, apparently. He kept a straight face, but felt the anxiety come clawing back up his throat. There weren't even that many people here yet, but he knew it would get busier as the night progressed. He shimmied his way through the snow, his wolf whining because it just wanted to run. He only nodded at those who greeted him, before sitting down on the furthest log from the others, feeling his shoulders relax just a little bit. He quietly placed the blankets down beside him, snatching the one from the top and wrapping it around himself. He watched the roaring fire with interest before pulling his book out, the cover being illuminated by the fire light. He opened it up to the page he left off on, and began reading, tuning out the others around him.

      NATASHA WALTERS
      ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
      | female | twenty two years old | hunter | no love interest | at the bonfire | tagged with the samir, aiden, sebastian & sienna |

After the whole ordeal, Natasha had stormed out of the kitchen and into the woods. Judd had gone out right before her, but she had no intentions of following him. He could be angry somewhere else. She leapt off the deck and landed in the snow, immediately shifting into her wolf form. She felt her bones pop and snap painfully as the change took place, but it was over quickly. A reddish brown wolf now stood where her human feet did just a few seconds before, and as soon as she got her bearing, she took off, snow being kicked up behind her.

Being in her wolf form made her feel free. She knew some others didn't feel the same way, like humans that were turned into werewolves by force. Many of those people thought of shifting as a curse. She had never felt like this for she was born a wolf. The snow crunching under her paws and the wind tugging at her pelt drove her on, her steps creating large craters in the fresh snow. She ran deep into the forest, leaping and snapping at low hanging branches, flopping around and rolling in the snow. She needed to lose some steam herself, and this was the best way she knew how to do that.

It was a couple hours later when she returned. She walked up to the porch, panting, her fur damp with melted snow. She shifted back into her human form, and opened the back door, walking into the pack house and going up to her bedroom to change out of her wet clothing. She took a warm shower, appreciating that the hot water was back. She got into some comfortable clothing and checked her phone. She saw a text from Samir talking about a bonfire tonight, and she immediately texted back 'Count me there!'

Surely she'd need to bring something. She thought for a moment, before getting an idea. She strode out of her room happily and closed the door behind her, then she walked right outside and went on the hunt for some firewood. It was very dark by the time she returned, walking round back to where a huge fire stood, blazing and popping magically before her eyes. A huge grin spread across her face as she walked towards the fire, noticing others sitting around and chatting. She stepped into the circle and looked around. When she pinpointed Samir, she walked over to him "This is wonderful, Samir! The fire looks amazing." She said "I've brought some more firewood, just incase we run out" She said, and placed it in a small stack that had already been prepared. She straightened up, and looked around for a spot. She noticed that the space beside wolf Sienna was open, so Natasha shifted herself and trotted towards the other female and the two brothers. She plopped down right beside Sienna and gave a wolfish grin to all of them, wagging her tail in greeting. She turned her full attention to Sienna "How was your day, Sienna? I haven't seen you all day!" She barked, tilting her head to the side.[/color]

    i. male - bisexual | ii. thirty-three years old | iii. pack healer
iv. location: bonfire | v. tags: frieda; the pack (indirect)

The voices and approaches of various other packmates slipped into the depths of the black wolf’s mind as he lay gazing at the fire. Its roaring filled his ears with near-deafening white noise interrupted only by sharp pops or shifting logs. His eyes drooped lazily in spite of the raw ruggedness that was clawing up inside of him, and he knew before long the moon would rise and, with it, the true beast within. His life as a werewolf had started out quite rugged, and even now there was a clear separation between them, as dark and gaping as a crevasse. Dimidian felt as if the other pack members had a relationship with their wolves that was as fluid as kneaded clay, shifting from one form to the other beneath the painful fingers of change.

As for him? Well, he felt like he and his wolf were two sides of the same coin and, more often than not, tails came out on top. He didn’t complain though. He’d learned to enjoy the wolf’s eyes and mind. The wolf was untamed and volatile, the singer of a mad song the flew unruly on the winds. Mid had a running joke with himself that the years he spent exclusively in the body of the wolf, traveling through all manner of wilderness, had allowed him to pick up pieces of the souls of all the great poets and explorers who too had felt the great call of the wild.

The healer mused on this now as he watched the fire, felt the smoke burn his eyes and sting his nostrils. He could never quite figure out how to describe the flames...it was always them describing something else, like the look in Judd’s eyes this morning or the way he felt seeing his packmate push around the others. Sure, the crimson hues could be likened to tongues...but who didn’t see them that way?

His thoughts winked from existence when footfall and an exclamation broke through his insightful barrier. Precious were his reflections, and they fled his grasp as fast as possible when others came poking around, fearful that someone would ask about them. Dimidian liked a deep discussion, but he had only spoken to a few people who could quite keep pace with him. He tended to lapse into metaphors and incoherent poetic ramblings, but the voice of a poet could only be as strong as the intelligence of his audience, and most couldn’t quite decipher his meanings, so he tended to keep conversations brisk — interesting, but brisk.

If it had been anyone but Frieda who had (nearly) stumbled upon him, they probably would’ve been met with an outraged snarl and a snapping of teeth. But he merely blinked and raised his head, watching her sit by Sebastian and Aiden. Unaware of her stares, he stood up and shook out his black coat before trotting off into the trees to shift in private. Moments later he slouched panting against a tree, shaking his head softly and gritting his teeth. When the pain and discomfort subsided, he leaned up slowly and blew out a long breath, smoothing his dark locks and fixing his scarf until he felt presentable. By the time he got back to the fire, a couple more people had arrived, and he gave them light nods and grunts of a greeting.

He sat down at an empty log, mostly just watching everyone mingle and talk and wondering how many s’mores were acceptable to eat and whether anyone had brought a damn guitar. Dimidian had wanted to strike up the earlier conversation with Frieda, but he was definitely not wanting to let everyone around her know that he could be so smooth and nonchalant. No. Best to be broody and mysterious. That dashing, dark little Dimidian, he.

    𝐒𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐌𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐙𝐈𝐄
Ⅰ.. female Ⅱ.. twenty six years Ⅲ.. hunter Ⅳ.. no relationship
LOCATION: outside, bonfire MENTIONS: sebastian, judd TAGGED: aiden, natasha

she was rather curious when she noticed sebastian moving towards aiden and then sitting beside him, almost leaning into him for that matter. sienna found this slightly intriguing as she knew little of the two's inner relationship with one another. of course she knew some of aiden's behaviors but none suggested that he would be okay with minor cuddling with his brother. she kept her thoughts to herself along with the fact that he wouldn't be able to understand her in this form anyway. she simply laid there, her head against the young fighter's leg as she turned her gaze back up to him.

it wasn't something out of the ordinary for her. sienna was more cuddly than anything in this form and often times acted more doggish than that of what she was, a wolf. her normal antics she herself didn't see as normal wolf behavior but she didn't like being confined to certain things in the first place. her thoughts were interrupted when she felt soft fingers tangling into the fur on her neck. at first, she was confused, wondering who was petting her until she realized that the hand was attached to aiden. a heavy sigh escaped her, not minding him doing it for this occasion. if it made him feel better than she would allow it and hope that it would put him in a better mood.

a shuffling of paws drew her attention as it was rather near to her. she turned her head but made sure that she wouldn't interrupt aiden's current actions in the process. her gaze caught that of another wolf, one that she recognized immediately as none other than natasha. sienna was overall relaxed for the most part and generally calm, though minor excitement shone at the company she was now in. she pushed herself up slightly to more of a half sitting position as she listened to natasha's words.

it was true, they hadn't laid eyes on one another all day and sienna blamed that on her being at the coffee shop and then getting the smores and soda. ears were alert to just about every sound as she went to respond to natasha's friendly greeting. "it was busy, i mean for the most part. the coffee shop was pretty empty when i left but i'm sure it'll get busy again. then went to the store and got some stuff for this. aiden seemed pretty down so i came over here after dropping the bag off. plus i was absolutely dying to stretch my legs and get in the snow again." she explained at first, knowing she pretty much told the woman her entire day in a nutshell. "what about you nastasha? what has kept your attention all day for you not to stop by?" she questioned curiously before her gaze turned to the fire. it was pretty warm though she didn't mind the cold and so far everyone was calm. though the wolf did catch judd glaring at aiden.

a low growl rumbled from her throat as eyes narrowed on the fighter. it was pretty obvious on who she was growling at, though it was pretty much a warning for the most part. she was sure that he'd be taken care of for his absurd behavior, she had only heard bits and pieces of it. with her point given towards him, she turned her attention back to her friend, though she did shoot a quick glance to check in on aiden for a momet.

    𝑬𝒊𝒓í𝒌𝒂 𝑳𝒆𝒊𝒌𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒅ó𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒓
    ─────────────────────────────────────
    Erika - hunter - female - 28
located at the gathering - tagging Samir, Skylar - feeling uneasy

More people had trickled to the gathering at an even pace, but the arrival of a tan wolf drew Erika's focus. It was Skylar, whom she barely recognized in the dim light, until the fire's glow illuminated her lupine features. She expected the girl to find a seat somewhere around the clearing like the others, but the figure strode past the logs resting on the ground and straight to Erika. It was unexpected, but it wasn't like she'd chase her away. Not deliberately at least.

Somewhat puzzled, she looked down to meet her gaze. Communicating with a turned packmate was always clumsy, but she could sense a gratitude emanating from the pale canine's blue eyes. It must've been about this morning and the shattered plate. Feeling slightly uneasy about the whole ordeal, she simply nodded to acknowledge the meaning of her look. The eye contact was soon growing to be a bit too much for her, and so she turned her gaze back toward the fire. Erika hoped that the girl wouldn't take this as a personal offense - she was merely hopeless when it came to socializing.

Before Erika had a chance to stumble her way through uncomfortable small-talk, Samir made his way over to the edge of the site. His observation about it not exactly being her scene was definitely correct. "Ó, yes," she replied shortly, more as an acknowledgement of his words than a reply to them. The following inquiry about her well-being caused her to bristle a little, but she understood that the man was simply trying to be friendly. He meant well. She valued the deed, even if it was an uncomfortable question. "I've been fine," she offered with the most convincing tone she could muster. Her green eyes flickered momentarily to meet the bearded man's gaze - her statement likely wasn't the most credible.

As Samir uttered his query about the situation with Judd, she was caught off guard. Following the line of his sight, she spotted the fighter who seemed to be glaring daggers at Aiden. The alpha was now looking at her as if he was expecting to hear her thoughts on the matter, and after a beat of deliberation, she obliged. "I would prefer it if you gave him a thorough trashing, but a few stern words will do." Ég skal sýna þér í tvo heimana. At that, the corner of her lip quirked up in the slightest - a gesture which was practically a grin when coming from the solemn hunter. She glanced quickly at the tan wolf that was still seated besides her, wondering if Skylar had any thoughts on the matter. It was her that Judd had threatened after all.

xxxxxxxxxas everyone started to settle by the fire, the conversation that were going on around her were just mumbling in her head as she wasn't focused on the voices. she looked into the fire watching wood burn, listening to it crackle as the fibres within the wood broke. the warmth of the fire was so inviting so peaceful. she watched as flames twist and turn, the colours mixers red, orange and yellow. with a small sigh she looked towards arthur once again making sure he had settled down. she was saddened that wasn't really joining in, his eyes were on a book that he seemed to be reading. alex bit her lip wondering whether she should intrude on the fighter whilst he was glued to his book. i wish i was under that blanket with him... the thought popped up in her mind out of no where. she was embarrassed by the thought although she hadn't said it out loud for anyone to hear.
xxxxxxxxxshe wondered whether he would feel comfortable with her, her rank being a beta and he was below her as a fighter did that matter to him? again she bit her lip not enough to draw blood as she was itching to go over and talk with the boy that she was growing feelings for. alexia! pull yourself together and get up now! go to him! the words screaming inside of her, to give her the confidence she needed to sit with him but she was worried that she maybe rejected. the blonde got up onto her feet once again and walked round the fire and went over to arthur "hi arthur... i'm sorry to interrupt your reading but may i sit with you?" the words rolled out of her mouth softly towards the fighter as she again bit her lip waiting for his response.
