this south side boy
has a real, crazy love
for dogs, puzzles and
riddles. he adores being
a serpent.

Truce slurped the remaining drops of
his pop’s vanilla milkshake. he sat at the table for a while
and eventually left. stretching, he walked onwards,
past riverdale high and reached for his bike helmet.
soon enough, he found himself driving over to the whyte wyrm
on his dad’s borrowed motorbike.

xxxophelia honestly didn't know how she had ended up here, in the southside. the sun was starting to set and the cool evening wind excited goosebumps on her arms. she guessed she had just wondered here after her interview with veronica lodge. the only problem was that she wasn't sure of her way back. she took a deep breath, feelings like pairs of eyes were on her. she didn't feel safe at all here.

Truce spotted a girl walking on the right
side of the pavement. She looked
as if she was running or scared.
-hey! you there.
he pulled his brakes, stopping
right in front of her.

xxxthe nervous girl jumped to a stop as a boy wearing a leather jacket pulled his motorcycle
to halt in front of her. he must have noticed she wasn't from around here. was he going to rob
her? "can i help you?" ophelia said in a soft voice, crossing her arms to try to shield herself
from the heavy wind.

-i should be asking you that question.
truce said calmly and chuckled a bit.
-first time I've seen a girl like you in these
parts of town.
may i ask what you're doing
here all alone...?
he stood there, crossing his arms
and looking at her. she was a bit shorter than him.

xxx"im just wondering around," ophelia said with a shrug, trying not to give away that she was lost.
"what do you mean, a girl like me?" she questioned, gently biting her lip in nervousness. she looked
up at the guy, analyzing his face which just barely shown in the dim streetlight. "what are you doing
around here?" she asked, suddenly getting a little more bold.

"Well, you definately aren't a... south side girl."
truce chuckled slightly.
"besides... since when does prey ask
a predador why they're hunting on
their own grounds..."
he looked her over with slightly
squinted eyes and laughed.
