1x1 w/ Anna and Echo

Eira closed her eyes sadly but leaned into his kiss. "I should get going." She breathed but continued to hang onto him, seeking comfort. "You should call your girl. She seemed pretty upset."

Penelo looked aroubd jace's work silently, confused by everything since she wasnt used to the human world but remained silent as she waited for jace's manager to bring him to the break room where she was waiting.

Fade shook his head, his grip on her tightening a bit. "No. It's fine. I'll talk to her later. I don't want to right now. You're upset, too." He softly kissing the top of her head, sighing softly. "Don't listen to anything he has to saw. He's got it all wrong. He's just playing with you, like before. Do you really want to risk getting cursed again? He'd pick the goddess over you. You know that. Me, I'd pick you over anyone else. You're my everything, okay? Never doubt how much you mean to me."

Jace grumbled softly under his breath as his manager spoke over the radio. He carefully lowered himself to the ground of the tall skeleton of the supermarket they were working on. He had been putting bolts into the holes of the steel frame from above. He liked working high up, never afraid of the harness breaking. He unclipped himself and made his way into the office building, his mud-caked steel toe boots clomping on the tiled floor. He took his hardhat off to wipe his sweaty brow, dusting off his stained overalls as he made his way to the maid entrance of the building where a 'visitor' was. He raised an eyebrow at Penelo as he saw her, confused, but he made his way over to her. "Yeah?"

Eira hesitated before saying in a broken voice. "Hes all i have..."

Penelo remained seated at the table but looked over at him as he entered. "We need to talk about Alex." She waited for him to shut the door and sit down before continuing. "He called me this morning to inform me not to announce our engagement because he was having seconds. It is clear the cause of his hesitation is you so im here to respectfully ask you to make sure he is aware that you two are finished."

"No, he's not. He's not yours." He pulled her closer, gently taking her face in his hands. "I'm all you have. I'm yours."

Jace sat down, resting his hands on the table. "No. I can't do that. Him and I are not finished. Not even if both of us are dead. I'm not leaving him, and I'm not letting anyone else have him."

Eira looked at him sadly. "Until i lose you to someone else." She pulled away from him and wiped away her tears. "Can we just go home?"

Penelo raised an eyebrow at him. "Jace, i dont think you understand. You broke up with him and now its time you went your separate ways." She leaned back in her chair as she watched him. "Alex could be great but not if he is with you. You are a great guy but look at yourself, do you honestly think you can give him the life he deserves?"

"You won't. You won't loose me. I promise." He watched sadly as she pulled away. "Yeah. Sure. Good idea." He smiled sadly at her, and led her back home.

"I thought he was dead, okay? I wasn't ready to get back into a relationship." He narrowed his eyes at her, his calm fading. "Yes. I think I can. Look, Penelo. I don't know much about elves, but I know you care about your special tree, right? Alex and I got blessed by the king and the tree apparently said we were good together. And regardless," He ran a hand through his hair, sighing unhappily.

Penelo stiffined at the mention of the tree. "Do not speak of pur sacred things." She looked away from him and forced herself to calm down before resuming the conversation. "Jace, alex should be with us, his people. He has always been emotional but he is still an elf. He knows he has a duty to our people amd one day he will grow tired of playing house with you. Save yourself the pain and say goodbye now."

Jace rolled his eyes. "Sure. Because it's not like they brainwashed him or anything." He leaned against the counter, watching her. "He doesn't need to be with his people," he snapped. He knew that maybe he should be, though. What he knew is that he was the one who needed Alex. He didn't want Alex to need anyone else. He was being selfish, and he knew it. And it made it hard for him to continue arguing with her, when he knew she was rest. He pressed a hand to his forehead. "Fine. Just...talk to Alex, okay? I'm not...I'm not talking to him about this, and you're not going to tell him anything that is didn't actually say, alright?"

Penelo nodded and stood up. "Thank you for your understanding. You are making the right choice, Jace. You both will better off with your own kinds." She squeezed his shoulder reassuringly as she walked by before leaving.

Jace buried his face in his hands, groaning. What was going to happen now? He needed Alex, but he wanted what was best for him.
